Hammersmith Family Restaraunt

Great old-fashioned diner-style restaurant with tasty breakfast served in huge portions. I got the corned beef hash benedict, which was giant and delicious, with a generous heaping of home fries (I asked for crispy, and they came out perfect). The corned beef hash is the style you might get from a can -- this is not a criticism, because this is the kind of hash I much prefer, rather than the kind made from scratch you might find at hipster restaurants. Coffee was also really good. Service was super-friendly, and I could tell that there were a lot of regular customers. Lots of booth seating. We'll stop by here again the next time we're in this neck of the woods!

I should have taken pics before we started eating but once I dug in I was so impressed, I said I need to write something about this place. After a super long day of travel we wanted some diner food and we're blown away with these big portion sizes and flavor. All 3 of us too a box to go. Love their coffee. My favorite was their big omelettes with homemade fries and HUGE crispy corn beef hash.

Came here on Saturday morning, it gets busy but they move quickly. We were sat at a really comfy booth. The service was amazing, servers were super attentive and on top of it. We both ordered juices and Florentine egg Benedicts as well as a single order of french toast to share. The portions were perfect and the food was great. The place was clean and had such a positive, good energy. We will be back!

I went to Hammersmith Family Restaurant for the first time last weekend, it was very easy to park and after a short wait we were seated. The service was on point despite the restaurant being packed and with a line. I had the polish Benedict and it was very enjoyable, it had been a long time since I'd had kielbasa. My friend had the corned beef hash and the pumpkin pancake special which were both also tasty. Our cups of coffee were topped off frequently.

So aggravated went on line to make sure OPEN only to drive there and big CLOSED sign on window.

Great service. Terrific portions. Good flavor. I was very pleased with this local spot I've never tried. The Irish eggs Benedict was super yummy. Plenty of hollandaise sauce to go around. Home fries were cooked well and the corned beef hash was great. It was cute that they were decorated for the 4th. I'd definitely go again but make sure you bring your appetite!

Hammersmiith Family Restaurant must be under new management. There is no friendly family atmosphere anymore. It cannot be called a diner anymore. It has no desserts. The manager/waitress was rude when we pointed out the added charge to her. Fries were $2.50 extra. Something that should be included with burgers. It took forever to pay for check. In the end the manager did take it off the bill. Limited hours. Closes 2pm.

Great food. Awesome service! Cute environment! They were celebrating the 50th anniversary, glad we stopped in.

Living in Saugus, when it comes to going out for breakfast, Hammersmith is the only choice! Been going for years, friendly service, always a great meal, and part of the community. You see residents from all over the area, and it definitely is a family restaurant.

My family and I dine here all the time and not only is the food out of this world but the service is also. The ladies that work there are more than servers they treat you like family, I hope to go back again really soon for another wonderful breakfast.
