"Wow that was good. I hadn't gone to FK for years but after a vacation of too much meat, a falafel wrap sounded good. And it was, crispy falafel and lots of salad to make it feel more healthy. I get garlic sauce instead of tahini and it's yummy. It feels like it could have been wrapped a little better but not a big deal, food is ready in a minute and hits the spot."
"Yay finally had a chance to visit this place recently. There is free street parking in front of the restaurant, making the pickup process easy.It is a takeout only place for now. I originally tried my order on its website, but you cannot pay online. I then tried my order via the Yelp app. Unsurprisingly, the prices from Yelp order is higher than its website. It's common practice (higher charges on a third party platform), so I was fine with it. The Yelp app gave me an estimate on the order time, but didn't provide completion updates. By the time I got there, my food was already ready and waiting for me. The owner (I think) greeted me warmly. The food is very good! The price isn't "cheap", but you are supporting local businesses. I have to say the entrees are on the sweeter side. I don't normally have Moroccan food, so I'm not necessarily used to the taste. The Paprika's Moorish Grilled Wings were so so good! Overall, very good quality food! Highly recommend it!"

Today there was only one man working and I was surprised by how quick and organized he was. Very smooth order and check out process. I LOVED the shish tawouk (chicken kabob) plate that comes with rice, pickles, and homemade garlic sauce. The portion is perfect for one person and reasonably priced at $10. The chicken shawarma wrap with garlic sauce, pickles, and fries is also delicious. The mohammara (mashed walnuts and red peppers) dip doesn't come with any bread, but glad we took it to go to use with the pita bread we have at home. You can order a side of pita bread and ask for some olive oil, if you like. I had the best fried sweet balls years ago during my first visit to Syria, where many food vendors serve it hot and fresh from the frying pot. The sweet balls here aren't as fresh but it's enough to satisfy any cravings you might have (for those who've had them before). I will definitely return OFTEN as possible!!"
"A M A Z I N G !!! everything closes shortly after fenway shows get done so we were in a pinch. we went over to model bar for a drink and to find take out that wasn't fast food and saw turkish lazuri next door. i'm so happy we ordered from them. i got a chicken doner. my friend got lamb. both were packed with meat, super freaking delicious. the staff was nice and the pick up time was extremely quick ! food tasted great even the next morning"
"Great Food! Great Staff Delicious Hummus ! Service was excellent, laid back ambiance and plenty of seating !"
"Friendly people, great kebabs, convenient location! Hot Chix has been a place I've wanted to try for a while and finally got the chance. I ordered some pakoras (crispy, flavorful), shish kebab (well-seasoned, on the firm side), and naan (big and tasty), and enjoyed every bite.Their hours change a bit throughout the week so be sure to take a look before you order. Also, keep in mind that it's takeout - it's a narrow storefront with a deep kitchen so it really shines as a place to run in, grab your food and go."
"Delicious authentic Lebanese food in a small unassuming takeout shop. This is definitely the sort of takeout shop that is for RIC / PC / Lasalle students, it is quick convenient and affordable. The cheese rolls and spinach pies are my personal favorite orders, although the shawarma style chicken is also excellent. The service is great and the Zesty Bites team are so friendly. This has been a consistent takeout staple for authentic middle eastern food and I am glad to see this under-the-radar addition to the Providence food scene!"
"This place was recommended by multiple people for authentic Pakistani food. I decided to try it out via UberEats. I ordered Chicken Botti, Chicken Biryani, and Beef Nihari. As a Pakistani myself, I definitely questioned the food when I saw the Nihari came with a side RICE and I had to order a Naan separately. Very odd. Eat your Nihari with Naan..not rice! Please owners..if you're reading this.. beef Nihari with side naan not rice. Other than that, the food was great. Probably the best desi food available in the Boston area. The biryani came with Raita that they call Nachlo sauce. The botti spice level can go up a couple of notches. Will definitely be back!"
"I've been here twice and both experiences were incredible. The dining area is huge with lots of tables, and you can see them making fresh bread in the wood-fired oven in the same space (no smoky smell though! The ventilation is excellent). The meal starts with some warm, crispy slices of their fresh bread alongside butter, a mint sauce, a vinegary pepper sauce, and a yogurt sauce. The entrees are in the $25-40 range but the portions are massive. We got the aushak appetizer ($9.50) which came with two large raviolis. The meat sauce is packed with umami and the leeks in the raviolis are fresh and tasty. For entrees we got the seekh kabab ($29.95) and koufta challow ($26.95). While I enjoyed both dishes very much, the seekh kabab was definitely the highlight. The lamb pieces had such a tasty seasoning on them and were cooked perfectly! The pallow rice which came with the kabab was also so flavorful. The dish came with a side of eggplant which was soft and seasoned well. The koufta challow came with a massive portion of rice. Luckily the rice was super tasty on its own-- cooked perfectly al dente with a nice cumin aroma. The dish came with a bowl of koufta swimming in a tomato based sauce. There were two pieces of peppery koufta in total. The tomato sauce was meaty and tasty. The servers here are so kind and friendly!"
"Updating my review because I had the chicken shawarma and lamb shawarma plate and this place is amazing! The meat is perfectly cooked -- very flavorful without having a raw gamey taste other places often have. Service is solid. I can attest this is definitely one of Boston's hidden treasures and entire menu is Halal. Can confirm there is sitting area -- definitely casual. Will be back very soon, I want to try other parts of their menu."
"I got the shrimp curry (medium) and the bread, as well as mango lassi yogurt based drink and all were delicious. The owner was also quite pleasant and humorous, making the experience even better! Check them out, it's a nice spot (hint: they have a little bar too)."
"Honestly was never expecting to find good halal food in Burlington of all places.Boom. This place came along. Really satisfied my craving.Place had good flavors. White sauce and red sauce flavors we're good.I wish the meat was a bit chunkier. And more vegetables. But that's it! This place is great. Definitely a great eat in the area!"

I didnt know Mediterranean food can be this good. Place has limited seating. No parking space available. No high chair. Most people do takeout here. Crew were nice but clearly they are in a hurry to catch up with the orders. Accepts credit/debit

Really good value here. Came at 5:30 on a Friday and food was ready so quickly. They give so much baba ghanoush for only $5. It was really tasty and creamy.I got their Shawarma Mix (lamb & chicken) for $13 and my mom got the Chicken Shawarma plate ($11). The white sauce that came with each was so tasty, I was mixing it with everything. However, the meat itself lacked some flavor and not all the pieces were tender. Although, the amount of meat and food overall that was given was generous.Friendly staff and very quick service.

FriendlyNeeded a quick and fresh bite to eat after a full morning- and this place was perfect The Turkish breakfast was what I needed and it even came with a doughy egg thing- very delicious The interior is small with only a few tables but most people seemed to be in and out when we can just after 11. I highly recommend and will be returning!

Since my first review I've ordered from here two more times. I would have had more but they were closed for a chunk of the summer. Still very happy with their chicken vindaloo, tikka masala, and curry dishes.

Do yourself a favor and give this place a try! We enjoyed the old business here but had a few complaints. At first I thought this was just a remodel, but it's actually under new ownership with a whole new menu! The food is fantastic! Excellent flavors and execution. The folks that work here are friendly and easy to chat with, and obviously passionate about offering a great tasting meal. We'll be back to explore more of the menu and encourage folks to give it a try -- you won't be disappointed!

When you hear the tagline: Pakistani meets Mexican food, you expect an explosion of creation and flavor, but sadly this place isn't as innovative. I will give it a pure 4-star rating for the hole-in-the-wall Pakistani food and for the sweet family that owns it. The combinations of pakistani/mexican food aren't as good in flavor. This is my go-to place to grab a samosa on rainy days to dip it into that Maggi hot sauce (ifykyk). I also recommend the Chicken Botti (well cooked on the tandoor and available at any time of day) and naan +/- biryani. The prices are reasonable and the staff/family is so sweet and friendly. Bonus points if you can speak Hindi with the Uncle.
Visit Restaurant Page"There are three restaurants I will solidly, loyally return to on every trip to Cambridge because time and time again, their food makes me say "damn, this is good." Kebab Factory is one - hopefully I've reviewed the other two but won't steal KF's thunder by revealing them here. There is so much variety here in the menu, you'd be right to be suspicious. But all of it is actually good. So you score twice: you'll never get sick of the place, and you'll discover new food even if you're very familiar with Indian and Pakistani foods (unless you're of that background and maybe you know more from home than I did in my upbringing). The vegetarian vegetable and paneer korma is super! I love going here for the lunch buffet. Even the chai is extra delicious and reliable. The TV during the meal can be annoying but everything else is awesome. Only have love for this place!"
"We stopped by at Felafel Corner during a quick stop at Harvard Square. I had heard the reminiscences from my fiancé during past visits and had to try it for myself. I ordered the lamb shawarma plate which also came with a side order of salad. The lamb was very well seasoned and the hot sauce was quite hot which I appreciated. The salad tasted very fresh, and paired nicely with the white sauce. And the portion sizes were very generous, enough for 2 meals. I appreciated the requirement for masks before entering the business, and there wasn't much room inside so you could only place an order for pickup. I definitely recommend stopping by whenever you're in the area to satisfy your middle eastern cuisine cravings!"
"Small place (seats 10-15) with an unassuming store front, on a busy/trafficky street. Passed by so many times but never thought to come in, till I came across all the positive reviews and think I should give it a go.Walked in right around noon and found the place empty but with frequent call-ins, then few other trickled in to sit down -- seems like all locals who've been there done that.Settled with a couple spread/dip, a salad, and a mixed grill, with baklava as dessert. Lady in the store was very nice, working nonstop to handle front of house from taking orders to wiping tables down. She was attentive enough to tell us to inform her when we are done with our meal so she would then bring us the dessert.Everything on the plate was simply DELICIOUS. Flavorful spread/dip and rice, meat was tender and yum. Definitely a splurge for lunch for 2, but with the variety of proteins and portion size (had enough leftovers for both), that's actually cheaper than each of us getting a regular plate.Wished I had time to try their coffee. Maybe next visit!"
"Every dish had me mind blown. The flavors put into each dish were spot on everything we were expecting and more I understand why so many say that Masala Square is a hidden gem for Indian food‼ The chicken tikka masala was my favorite with its creamy, addictive tomato flavor, but the potatoes in the vindaloo were spiced and cooked perfectly as well. We loved the chicken biryani as well Although you can adjust the spice level, I'd say medium was the perfect amount of spicy I could tolerate enjoyably A must try here is the mango lassi, the yogurt flavor within paired perfectly with the mango and its consistency was super enjoyable! I also recommend trying the supreme samosas! I'm glad we upgraded from the regular to supreme because the difference was the chana (chickpea) curry they topped off with that was the most flavorful and had the most refreshing hint of herbs‼Overall, I am 100% coming back here to try more and I definitely want to taste their variety of stuffed naan next time"
"This is a great new addition to Assembly Row! If you're familiar with Nando's, this is exactly that, but a lot more flavourful. The chicken is grilled to perfection, it's moist and juicy. The sauce is tangy. We got a platter which was great for two people and came with half chicken, wings, rice and an extra side of your choice. For $25.99 that was a steal! I didn't take any photos because the food was SO good, phone did not eat first. The staff is very friendly. Great for families. All their food is halal and they also have a whole waffle menu as well. The rice, although a side, was phenomenal! It tasted like pulao. Only thing, the masala tea is not to Pakistani standards, but hey, I'm pretty sure this is the only masala chai you'll get in Assembly. 10/10 will be back!"
"So I'm new to the area and glad to see that Sam's Falafel place is quite within walking distance. I ordered through DoorDash but apparently when I got there the owner Sam (I assumed) were quite critical about DoorDash and I definitely understand it can be tough for small business to survive in today's COVID climate. So I would sympathize with him when he gets heated about the situation. Personally I'll definitely be ordering directly with them in the future.I had a wait a little bit when I arrived for food pick up but the wait was definitely well worth it. They were quite amazing. One of the most juicy and tasty Lamb Shawarma I've tasted and the Falafel was really tasty and fresh too and not dry. The garlic does seem a little strong but while they sandwiches are warm and hot they go quite well in my opinion. So I definitely wish them all the success and continue to produce delicious sandwiches."
"Formerly passage to India, but same owners.I use to come to passage to India prepandemic and the lamb curry and chicken Tikka were great choices.I chose the lamb curry again. And new on this menu, spinach and cheese Naan! Why more places don't do spinach Naan, I'm not sure. Both were great, Naan was fresh, and the lamb curry still has that homemade taste, great balance and control of all spices. In terms of hotness I ordered the hot, and was the right level. There's an atomic level as well.I think I went on a slow day or perhaps they reopened recently, in either case STILL recommend this place! I noticed some street food menu adds, most I can't have due to my chick pea allergy, but menu selection seems good!"
"As a desi, I'm always a bit skeptical of fusion places. But this place really makes it work! Had a lamb tikka bowl over brown rice with a sweet & spicy tamarind sauce. Topping it with "western" toppings like hummus and pickles was something new and different. Everything tasted fresh. The portions were large. And all for $12? I will be returning again on an empty stomach! (I should mention that I went to the Davis Sq. location - super-friendly staff.)"
"For my first time I thought it was excellent. The prices are reasonable and the Butter Chicken was sooooo good (although my wife said it had too much sauce). I also had lamb chops which were slightly on the medium well/well done side but they were tasty.I ordered via DoorDash and hope they add more pictures and revise the ordering process as it's a bit wonky. For example, if I want garlic naan with my dish I don't have that option, only regular naan. There's ample opportunity to make the menu easier to follow."
"Why didnt i get here earlier? I am livid with myself that i have been ignoring the 10 mins walk for so long. Finally went here and wow it is good. Well, now i have another reason to come to office. Ordered the chicken kabab meal and boy the chicken was juicy. It was grilled fresh however it did come out of the refrigerator so initially i was a bit skeptical. The hummus was another gem. Now i want to try their babaghanoush and the falafel. judging( yeah totally) by the taste of the hummus and sure the other stuff is going to be great. It is a rarity that the stuff feels so fresh and tastes so good and different from the most places."
"When I need my Indian food fix, I order from here. Their lamb curry is so good especially when you ask for it extra spicy. But the real star here is their coconut naan. Life changing and so good that I must order it every time. Just order it and thank me later, oh and pray that you don't get a burnt batch ."
"Fabulous, we were on our way to Wendy's for a quick bite. But luckily we spied the sign for Mediterranean food and decided to go there instead. Did I already say Fabulous, well I'll say it again. Thought it was a take out place when we walked in, but our greeter asked if we were dining in and then showed us to one of 3 large rooms for dining in.Delicious food and the staff couldn't be more gracious. Do yourself a favor and try Golden House Grill. We did and we couldn't be happier with our decision."
"A real neighborhood gem, The Village Kitchen serves up fresh, home-style Italian food in a cozy unassuming dining space. Each dish comes out hot and freshly-made. The pizza has a thinner, crispy crust which I enjoyed, and as a bonus the pepperoni is halal! The pasta dishes are very hearty and generously apportioned. You wouldn't usually think of veggies as craveable but the mixed roasted vegetables here really are something you want to keep coming back for, especially the sweet carrots with blue cheese, and fried cauliflowers. The staff are all so friendly, and because the friends I came with are regulars, we even got cappuccinos and sweet fresh dates on the house. Will be back to try other things!Credit cards now accepted."
"I came here strictly for the falafel. I'm going around trying all the falafels in the Boston area to see which is best. Among the 5 that I've tried, this is the 2nd best. It was delicious by itself and didn't even need hummus, but the drizzle of course elevated it. Its as authentic as it gets, I'd come back here if I wanted falafels in Cambridge."
"Chicken over rice was well seasoned but a bit fatty. Good sized portion. I ordered takeout and it was ready by quoted time. I prefer Sonia's or East Side pockets but this is decent."
"I was in the area and wanted a quick bite before my ride home and came across Boston Shawarma. It s a cute little shawarma place in Newton with a few tables for dine in.The are many Mediterranean food options to choose from. Theres shawarma, kabobs, falafel, grape leaves and more. The food is very filling and the portions are very large yet tasty. Jimmy took care of us and was generous with the portion sizes and served us the food quite fast. Boston Shawarma is definitely a convenient and healthy food option."
"There aren't many Indian restaurants (especially good ones) in the Boston area, more so to towards the south. We heard good reviews about 1947 Norwood and it's been on our list for a while. We went for the first time a month ago and by now we've already eaten thrice from there, haha. The first time we got a chai, filter coffee, the 1947 combo, and the spicy Kerala chicken appetizer. The coffee was spectacular with a sweet, milky taste and a frothy top. The chai couldn't compare to it. The chicken appetizer was crunchy and tasty but was served with a mayo sauce, but I'd prefer a more Indian dipping sauce like a green or red chutney. The 1947 combo came with two pieces of idli, one medu vada, sambar, and 2 types of chutney (coconut, peanut). Ooof, so good, comforting, and a delicious meal. The next two times, I ordered the same dish again - that's how wonderful it was. We also tried the rava masala dosa (would also highly recommend) and the dum chicken biryani which was good but lacked salt. It wasn't as spicy as some other restaurants make it, phew. The one thing that is just annoying is that, that tasty coffee is $5 a cup for a tiny tiny cup (smaller than a Starbucks grande) and served in a single-use cup rather than a traditional stainless steel cup. I think more people would be inclined to order if they changed the price structure or the quantity. One star less only for this point.Overall, would return again and again!"
"Quick stop for a quick snack since who knows how long it's going to be until dinner time. They had a half dozen or so pies already made and I chose the Hawaiian, which the young lady put in the over for a few minutes before bringing it to my table. It's not a fancy restaurant but the thin crust pizza is tasty and the service is good."
"My teammate highly recommended me to try the Persian food here at cafe Vanak and it did not disappoint us.My hubby and I had lunch here last weekend and loved our meal.Hole in the wall kinda restaurant, super duper packed with lots of people. The service is quick and very approachable. We ordered the eggplant dip which was out of the world served with freshly baked lavash bread. We got the chicken koobedeh for main course served with flavoured yellow rice and grilled veggies. The meat was so tender it was melting in our mouth. No effort of chewing required. Must visit if you are in the Belmont area."
"awesome hole in the wall type of ethnic grocery shop underground with a small diner on street level. They sell algerian style beef and veggies and you can buy turkish and moroccan style spices, cookies and baklava there. If you like exotic food and snacks, def give it a try."
"Incredible food as always from the establishment! The ambience is great and this is a family place that really value service and it's customers. The food is extremely authentic and the owner here really cares about the quality of it all. Whenever I'm here, I always get a dosa and fry a few of their appetizers."
"A hidden gem. I was craving Mediterranean food and found this on Google. I was greeted warmly, my order taken and fulfilled within minutes. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. The chicken was juicy and tender. I just found my favorite place for Chicken gyro and kebabs in Quincy."
"3.5/5Cons:-No small pizzas :(Medium Buffalo Chicken ($14.97)Not very spicy. Chicken was lightly breaded. The crust was crispy and not overly chewy but could have benefited from some seasoning. Still, this was pretty good and I'd consider getting it again."
