Bravo Bravo!Grace By Nia, is everything and more. From the ambiance to the live music to the libations, Grace By Nia is a must visit in Boston! While visiting on a recent work trip, I was referred here by friends in the area for an evening of relaxation. It's safe to say Grace By Nia didn't disappoint.Although I didn't eat, I did indulge in a few adult beverages. They're take on an old fashioned, a d'usse inspired cocktail was a nice way to end a long evening. Outside of the drinks the ambiance itself was top tier. Low lighting, live music, gives off a speakeasy with the extra flare. Located in the Seaport area, Grace By Nia is differently a must if you're a lover of live music and good vibes.

Two stars because the food and drinks we had were good but the service was NOT. Came here for an event that was hosted at Grace by Nia. The restaurant was offering a limited menu and not offering specialty drinks from their full menu, which was understandable with the dance event taking place. But I was not aware because of the event, there would be a limited amount of customer service as well! Once our waiter came and took our orders, we expected some water, maybe even utensils and napkins to prep the table for our food. We did not get that until after we asked for it, 15 mins later. Our food arrived before we had any water, napkins or utensils. Our waiter was kind and friendly, I will say that. It was a man who I'm assuming is a manager of some sort (go figure) who was the one with the attitude (short guy with braided back locs, yes I'm calling you out) He helped out waiter bring out our food (there was 6 of us total) and rightfully so, we asked if we can have water, napkins and utensils (our drinks we had ordered have still yet to arrive at this point as well) I'm assuming he did not hear me when I said napkins AND utensils because he comes back with water and a few napkins. I then, again ask for utensils and he comes back with only forks on a saucer! We have fried chicken thighs and waffles that we would need a knife to cut into, so I then ask again for more utensils, specifically knifes and he rolls his eyes and walks away to get them. Is it not obvious if I ask for utensils to bring a fork AND knife for dinner?? If they were preset on the table before hand or he used common sense, he could have saved himself the back and forth and the eyeroll. He came back and basically tossed the tray of *extremely dull* butter knives on the table and walked away. All we could do is laugh at this point because why are we even dealing with this foolishness.This was my second time here and of course, I want to support a B.O.B in Seaport especially a Woman owned one, but why should I give my money to this place to get attitude and eye rolls?? Food is good but honestly not that good for me to want to deal with that. I'll support from a far.

I went here with 2 friends last Sunday in Boston and enjoyed the fun experience! Upon getting to the building on Sunday evening, it was such a pretty sight outside from the sunset and lights. Entering the building, it was cool to see if the other restaurants and movie theater that's present in the building. Once we got to the top and were able to go in the restaurant, we were in awe. It was very pretty and set the ambience for a great show. The tables were a little bit dark, but the light on the table helps. Our server was really nice, I cannot remember his name, though I was not very happy that he would not split the bill for the 3 of our orders (it would have been pretty simple seeing as we all had 1 drink and 1 dish & 2 of our drinks and orders were the exact same price). I ordered the coconut curry and added chicken. For some reason, I totally forgot it was a $14 charge to add chicken. That resulted in my meal being $40. the meal was delicious, but I do think that was a bit excessive... especially seeing as you are already accounting for the entertainment with the entertainment fee per person. I do not feel that was a $40 plate. I reviewed the website before hand including all fees and upcoming entertainment. I also feel the website should tell you that they don't split checks. Outside of this I would go again. The menu looked really good and I would have loved to try more.

Nice place to hangout with friends and enjoy live soul music at Seaport, Boston. The service is good and the food is ok.

I loved Grace by Nia! I had reservations for Saturday night. They were very accommodating to me making slight time updates to my reservation. The restaurant is located on the third floor of the building. There's an escalator if you're coming from the street and elevator from the garage. Date & I were seated right by the stage which was great! Amazing live music from the band. I ordered the creole pasta and broccolini. I had the high tea and gimme s'more for drinks. Everything was exceptional! Date had the jambalaya to eat and old fashioned for his drink. He enjoyed his meal as well. We also had deviled eggs which were yummy. Our server Peter was very nice and attentive. Would recommend and return.

Came a second time, Again, they put us at a tiny tall table even though we reserved a regular dining table. They did switch us eventually but it took a while. Service was not as friendly or consistent this time. Ordered some of the same food as the previous time but it didn't taste as good - the seasoning was off. The music was fun - just a tad too loud.Couldn't find street parking this time. Ended up paying $22 for Spot Hero at a nearby garage.

Firstly our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The Johnny cakes were crispy and soft- loved. The drink I had was okay but definitely ig worthy. The creole pasta was okay in my opinion did not enjoy the chicken or sausage in it a bit tough. The fried green tomatoes were excellent and very decadent. The lobster Mac and cheese was thick cheesy and gooey. Trendy inside and very cool space.

I have been to Grace By Nia about 3 or 4 times, and the service, food, and ambiance were amazing each time! This place has many options for people with varying dietary needs such as myself. I have gotten the stuffed collard greens, johnny cakes, corn bread, and catfish bites. Everything was seasoned to perfection and plated beautifully. For my entree I had the lobster mac and cheese once and the curry coconut melange (pictured) twice. Both dishes were rich and had good-sized portions. The lobster and shrimp in both dishes were tender and the kitchen did not skimp.The live music, birthday shoutouts and all around welcoming atmosphere will keep me coming back often! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to dine and be entertained in Boston.

So food, drinks, service and atmosphere was thumbs up but when o made reservations o noted it was the GF's bday and also when I checked in mentioned it was her bday and they did nothing to recognize it ... disappointing for sure

Boston has grown so much since I left the area in 2009. I've been hearing amazing things about Grace by Nia and made it a point to come in while in town and during their 1 year anniversary.I was nervous about coming solo so I called first and was encouraged to come early and sit at the bar. The restaurant is beautiful and a great place for intimate gatherings or romantic nights. I had the Jam session which was really nice, I also had the wings. Major plus that they were able to give me mostly flats for the wings. The band was amazing and sang some soulful hits. It's on the 3rd floor and it's beautiful. It has a lounge /speakeasy feel. I will definitely be back.
