We got to our reservation early after attending a show at the Citizens Opera House next door and they showed us right to our table. The food was really delicious, the cocktails creative and delightful, and the service really good. For the record, we had crawfish etouffee, catfish, fried okra as an appetizer and cornbread. The seasoning was great on everything, generous portions, and the final bill was very reasonable. I would like to go back.

Made a reservation for two, but came in a little earlier and the staff were very accommodating!First off, the place itself is so cute. I loved all the colors and decorations and vintage posters. But most of all, I loved the doors to the "toilettes" that makes it feel like you're being transported to Narnia just to go pee. No sarcasm - it was genuinely very cool :)We got drinks and I got the Reine de France (or something like that) but it was basically a spiked lemonade which was very refreshing during this summer heat. Food was okay! I got a burger, but maybe should have gotten something more NOLA-ish. BUT. THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW: THE BANANAS FOSTER BREAD PUDDING. So good. Highly recommend. It hit the spot. I was ready to take a nap. Will come back to try the gumbo, and get another side of fries because they were the perfect balance of fluffy and crispy!

We made reservations for The French Quarter in Boston. When we arrived, the place was packed, and it took a few minutes to be seated. Once seated, our waitress came to take our drink orders. I asked for the spirits list, but three of the items I requested were unavailable. I recommend updating the menu to reflect available items and include prices for each spirit.Additionally, our waitress was not very attentive. Several times we asked for something, but she ignored us and walked away. It was unclear whether she was too busy or simply didn't care about our requests.I ended up having just a single beer since none of the whiskeys I wanted were available. My group ordered the Jambalaya, burger, chicken sandwich, cornbread, and crawfish. They said the food was good but perhaps overpriced. We were a group of eight and split the bill, which included a 20% automatic gratuity. While I understand the policy, the subpar service should have been taken into consideration.

Why 4-stars? This food was less than a TGIFridays. Shame on the Opera House for putting them on their webpage. Really lame.

Jambalaya $30 to-go. Huge portion. Ate it for two meals but could have been three. Lots of protein (chicken, shrimp, sausage). Really hot. Medium spicy.

Solid cajun food in downtown Boston with traditional flavors but nothing that leapt off the page. We had dinner for four before a show at the Wang, which was right down the street. The atmosphere was upbeat and the service was great! The starters were solid: corn bread was well flavored, but a little dry; fried okra was perfectly cooked; and the crab cake was pretty much as expected. The shrimp and grits were my favorite part of the meal with punchy seasoning and a hearty base of grits. Highly recommend for a nice homey meal.Drinks: 1. Old fashioned: 3/5Food: 1. Corn bread: 3/52. The food was delicious. The jambalaya was well spiced and flavorful and the rice was fluffy. The popcorn shrimp was so light and crispy. I loved how it was not greasy or oily at all. The Brussels sprouts were sweet and tasty, but the pieces varied in doneness - some were tough while others were mushy. Regardless, the vibes were nice with groups chilling at the bar. It was lively but not overwhelming. It honestly wasn't that busy when we arrived a bit past 6 on a Friday night, so this may be a great last minute dinner place. Our server was great and had recommendations ready!

Busy Saturday in August and we were able to get a drink at the bar before our 6:30 reservation. We have been to New Orleans twice and the food and service were much better here! Jambalaya was spot on a full of delicious tender chicken thighs, perfectly cooked shrimp and sausage! Loved the popcorn shrimp and hush puppies!! Drinks were excellent!!!

The portions here are HUGE. Basically anything can be shared- great for groups. Favorite thing we had was the fried okra and fried shrimp. Only downfall is it seems you always have to have a reservation due to staffing. One time we tried to walk in and the wait was almost an hour even though there were barely any filled tables. Once you're in though, it's really great.

In town on business and we were looking for something new to eat for dinner. My colleague has never tried Cajun food so we stopped here. The decor and sound of the place was cool as if in New Orleans. We both ordered the jambalaya. He enjoyed it as a first timer but for me it was meh. Chicken tasted off, the shrimp was over cooked but the sausage was great. Plus it was so much, we couldn't finish it all. My drink was flat regardless how many times it was refilled. The saving grace - the beignets. Those were delicious. The place was okay.
