"I've heard a lot of chatter about Napoli Deli for awhile now and was really excited to try them out. We went around noon time on a Saturday and it was all a little confusing where to order or if you sat down if someone would wait on you? We waited in line for a little bit and we ended up asking someone sitting at a table nearby and he said that they would come to the table, so we sat and waited and finally we went up to order at the counter. They were doing table service, but we just hadn't seen anyone up to this point waiting on tables, they did bring our order to us when it was done. They have about a half dozen tables and they do a really busy takeout business, there were so many people in and out ordering and picking up takeout orders. We ordered sandwiches...my husband a pastrami and I got a meatball grinder. Husband said the pastrami was good and my meatball was ok, nothing special. I think maybe we ordered the wrong thing, maybe their specialty is their pasta dishes? Not sure if we should give them another try when we're out that way and order something different, because this place is really popular."
"This deli is my go-to for quick, simple meal that is filling without breaking the bank. Personally, the best deals are the daily specials where you usually can save $2-3 if you like getting chips and a drink. If you are looking for a fancy deli, this place is not for you but if you are looking for a solid quick lunch or breakfast then this is your spot!I tend to come here for their breakfast sandwiches over anything else. They have a variety of options of bagels or English muffins and its made to order each and every time. It's a steal to get a solid meal for under $5!As for lunch, if you are planning on getting there around 12 pm, be prepared to wait in line for 10-20 minutes. Pro tip: order ahead and skip the line! If you come at 11:45 or 12:45, the line will be gone and you will get your meal much more quickly. Dont forget to check out the daily special that is on the whiteboard, it is practically hidden in plain sight!"

"Whenever I return to the neighborhood I'm afraid I'm going to see a big open pit on the corner of Washington and whatever and a sign depicting the chrome and glass condo project coming in spring. My kids more or less grew up here and the place hasn't really changed in the 18 years since I first went. The staff was always great and we got to know some of them. Prices aren't terrible and the wine selection is surprisingly decent as are the prepared dishes. I know the review is reading like a 3.5 but being a community anchor is worth a lot. Whole Foods will never have a tenth of the character and charm of a community market like Foodie's. Here's hoping my kids can return to the South End one day and say "this is the place my parents used to take me to", instead of "this mid-rise condo with parking, full-time concierge and a community roof-deck used to be a cool little grocery store".Brought to you with the generous support of the Titanic Nut Company."
"The burgers here are great, juicy, tender and flavorful, they'd cook it the way you want it to be. I'd end up here whenever I'm craving for a burger and adding a fries to go with it. I'd come back to try other items as its coveniently located near my work.P.s call to place an order over the phone, so you dont have to wait long. Cash only."
"Had an amazing lunch today! I can't believe i passed this place for so long. The hot pastrami sandwich was amazing!"
"Y'all, how do I put it? Livi's slaps. The homemade pita chips are just fantastic. So good that I have to hide the container on the way home so that I don't finish them and lose valuable room for their fresh sandwiches. They have cashew, pistachio, and walnut baklava that are literally perfect in their crunch and flakiness. There's spinach pie that sings of lemon and dill and is eminently satisfying to pull apart just to see how gorgeously the soft and yeasty pie separates...I could go on. I learned of all of these delights in the service of getting Livi's sandwiches to go. I'd previously always ordered off of Postmates but the exorbitant fees, along with the uncertainty of whether the order would be accepted and placed in time, actually got me in a car today. To get food. I left my apartment when I had other options available at the click of a button to get Livi's. In 2021, that speaks to how good Livi's is. I generally get the falafel and chicken or falafel sandwiches with eggplant added. The falafels are perfectly seasoned and what I call "optimal wrap falafels." Their size is such that you get falafel in every bite. Their grilled chicken is very juicy and flavorful...if I'm feeling healthier, I'd just get a grilled chicken wrap. Not today, Satan. The falafel and eggplant is decadent in how delicious it is but given other things you could be eating that hit that kind of way, it's not too bad in the overall health scheme of things. I don't know what pita they use but it's the softest with the most satisfying pull. Again, that pull! The pandemic has changed Livi's hours but even then, they'd close by 6 on weeknights and be closed on weekends if I remember. Current hours are 11:00 AM-3:00 PM on weekdays but I'd call ahead. This is absolutely worth structuring your lunch break around. If you're looking for the best falafel sandwiches and PITA CHIPS and spinach pie in Providence, look no further. This, my friends, is manna."
"Simple fare is indeed simple but good. Their potato chips are to die for, but the french fries are a little less greasy options. The greasy potato chips still win. I had and recommend: Caprese Panini (no meat!) or the Reuben. So tasty! And - quite importantly - not a NYC diner - meaning that the Simple Fare service is really friendly."
"Simply Awesome! It's all good at Eagle's Deli. The Burgers are legendary. That's it! now go there and eat a burger.Until the next review, My Best!"
"Ordered takeout for Father's Day and couldn't have been happier with the meat, service, and pricing. We had corned beef (both reg and lean) and pastrami and everyone was happy.Owner provided great personal service. Cash or Venmo only."
"A good deli and grocery store is located across from Boston Common. It has a deli with freshly prepared foods. Lambert's Marketplace is the only grocery store in this area so it doesn't have anything to compete against, which is a bad thing. High prices but they can get away with it. There's no reason they have to do anything because of the lack of competitors so they can also overcharge. It has some good things about it. One cool thing is the milkshake and smoothie machine. There's lots of flavors to choose from, and you see it made in front of you. Many people come here for the deli. There's a lot on the big menu. Lots of cheese. Sandwiches are okay but these are small portions. It usually has a salad bar. The selection on this isn't good so it's not recommended. Poor quality produce and it can also smell bad. The prices are very annoyingly high. Good for the fast convenience. It otherwise is only just okay. There's a good choice of organic and vegetarian friendly products."
"Excellent catering. The chicken piccata was outstanding. It was very moist and flavorful. Great portions and value for the money. I will be ordering here again for my next party."

We've lived in the area forever but somehow never made it into this spot until today. We were missing out! Warm, friendly service, great prices, and HUGE portions of the best Italian food. My son and I feasted on the giant chicken parm sandwich with provolone and a gargantuan chicken tender platter today. Everything was delicious and we took most of it home. I want to come back and try the cold Italian sandwiches and salads as well as their catering options!

Top of the line subs! The ingredients are fresh and delicious. So many subs to choose from! This place was so clean and you could truly tell the employees love what they do. Super helpful throughout the ordering process to make sure you get exactly what you want. Can't wait to come back!

I appreciate Foodies as a local market! Their produce doesn't have a lot of variety but the items are fresh. It can be a little pricier for out of season items, but their in-season produce is good. Their seafood is good, and the rest of the market has all you need.

The hidden kitchen is a hidden gem, their breakfast and lunch options are some of the best in the area and the family that runs the business is hard working and very friendly. I love going to the hidden kitchen!

You couldn't catch me dead in a deli... unless it's Good Food Store! My boyfriend introduced me to this place, and it's a favorite special treat for me. Their salsalito turkey is hands down my favorite, adding American cheese. I've also had the caprese and it was pretty darn good. My boyfriend often gets the corned beef with positive reviews. The blackjack is his go-to favorite. Their bread is delicious!! I'm also a little obsessed with their pasta salad. They updated their cookies so I'm sad they don't have the M&M ones anymore, but the new ones are delicious. Would drive a distance to enjoy this food every once in awhile.

Casual lunch spot tucked away in the arcade. Good number of different Mediterranean options. Got the works wrap and the chicken kebab wrap. I was surprised by the use of peppers though the chicken kebab wrap was quite good. Overall it was a good experience. Service was quick.

I picked up some take out here on a friday night around 6:30. They close at 8 and by the time I had called they were out of 3 things I wanted. First they didn't have any sauce left for the Engine 2 sandwich, so I asked for a reuben instead. Then they called and said they didn't have the reuben, so I asked for the pulled pork sandwich. When I picked up the food they had given me a reuben anyway. They were also out of french fries so we all went with chips instead. They were homemade and ended up being delicious. My roommate also ordered the salmon with seasonal veggies which we were told was eggplant, zucchini and peppers. When we got home we realized they have given us spinach instead. Although the food was delicious, I think it's best to go in the afternoon!

"Had take out today and the "Figgy Piggy" sub was deliciousThe sub and a individual bottle of soda was $13.50I'd say worth the priceAppreciated all the staff wearing masks too.I did take out instead of eating there since there's still a pandemic"
"A lovely little boutique sandwich shop with a ton of variety. The woman working there was incredibly welcoming and pleasant to interact with. As someone who absolutely loves bread I was blown away by both the presentation and depth of breads available. Ultimately went with the french baguette and was very pleased. My sandwich was made fast - I mean like within two minutes and it tasted delicious. My main qualm was amount of stuff actually between the pieces of bread. I think it was one piece of lettuce, one tomato, and like two slices of chicken. It felt very minimalistic. Did it fill me up? Just about, but I think the sandwich would do better with a little more protein."
"What kind of amazing cheese is on the Famous Philly that I just devoured?? That is no ordinary American cheese... it had mystical powers and melted perfectly on the steak!! I am not a peppers & onion fan, so my sub was as-is and DELICIOUS. This was my first time in a Jersey Mike's, this location opened a couple of months after I moved from the neighborhood last year (but fortunately I am just a few miles away), and now I have every reason to go to Brighton Center to eat!"
"Whatever you do, do not ask for lettuce on your sub. There's a big sign on the wall and it appears that the font they used for it is a clear sign that one who would attempt to order such an accoutrement would probably result in a scolding. This modest establishment with lunch-only hours serves up some very good, cheap subs. They have specials every single day and I happened to order a hamburg beef & onions sub which also featured a nice gravy along with it. It was meaty, it was hot, it was oniony and it was delicious. The bread got a little soft and soggy because of the gravy though so it got a little though to eat at the end but it was well worth it. The large size sub was only.... $5! Incredible deal, I almost felt bad paying so little for what I had. I also had some ketchup flavored chips with it which was interesting. The people running this blue-collar oriented place aren't the friendliest people (at least they appear that way) but they do make good subs so who cares? You order at the counter and they prepare them in the backroom and one or two minutes later they bring it up the counter on a paper place marker and you can digg in. No plates here!I do intend to return for more in the future so I can experience more of their subs.If your in that area and are looking for a reliably good, affordable lunch, look no further, this is it right here. The street parking is plentiful too!"
"You know how you reeeaaallyyy know a deli is delicious. Line out the door and wall to wall humans...I have found my people. Rachel, pickle and slaw on the side. Quart of matzo soup for the next day. Almost every time. Some days I don't have time for a post lunch nap and skip the sandwich. It happened to be 'freezing' today 55 in September. Freezing. I needed Barry's. It warms you up from the inside out. And it's so filling. I'm going to try and walk off the pending food coma. Matzo soup is great! With Covid we needed a lot of soup in this household. Always came to Barry's. I never had noodles and my matzo. But they put noodles in theirs!!! It's legit. Look at those big chunks of chicken, carrots, and celery...Other than soups and sandwiches. Barry's has got you covered for all things related to Jewish foods. Sunday is Jewish New Year and Barry's was prepped. So many delicious sweet things to welcome in the new year. Plus all the traditional stuff. Their challah looked amazing. Their muffins are muffin top inducing and worth the treat once a year. Everyone is super nice and considering how slammed they were today I got in and out pretty quick!"
"I have found myself on a mission to try every place in HSP. One morning, Mamaleh's found itself next, and I can safely tell you: they do things very well! Everything was fresh and delicious! I ordered an L.E.O. (Lox, egg, and caramelized onion on a challah roll with dill mayo). The egg was blended with caramelized onions. The proportions were on point, and the onions added some lovely savory and sweet notes. The challah gave some sweetness as well! While I am typically not a fan of sweet sandwiches, here it is gentle enough that it works! Besides, I can't only get my morning dose of sugar in the form of glazed donuts at Dunkies...not that there is anything wrong with that. Glazed donuts are delicious! It wasn't all sweet; this is where the dill mayo comes in. While I was hesitant initially, it added a whole new dimension to the sandwich. In tandem, the dill and mayo add a perfect, subtle amount of tang and their own savory notes. Egg, bread, mayo, and herbs are good and fine, but the lox is the star. In addition, it is the primary point of contrast to the other ingredients, both in texture and salt content. Regrettably, the amount of lox was somewhat lacking, especially compared to the amount of egg/caramelized onion. I knew it was in there, but there was not enough to make an adequate impact. Finally, the service here was excellent. The owner was very kind, professional, and personable. Considering the freshness, the speed was fine as well.I will make a return visit, but this time I will ask for double lox!"
"Had a hankering for some deli and we came across this place in the center of Lexington. Friendly staff, quick service, and the prices are far lower then I expected. The Italian is good and so is the Napoli. The Buffalo chicken was disappointing because it didn't have any Buffalo sauce and seemed to use deli meat instead of a chicken breast or something equivalent. To me the star is the Pastrami! Piled high and very delicious. I will get this again on my next visit!"
"Such a nice grocery store!I hadn't even heard of Bazaar on Cambridge until I received a Nift for this place. I finally got a chance to visit when we ran out of milk and didn't want to wait until we got groceries from our regular store. Stopped by Bazaar to get "only milk" and left with much more, haha. The produce section was so good. The quality was great - picked up some lovely potatoes first, followed by juicy red tomatoes. Also saw some excellent eggplant, scallions, avocados, etc. and all at great prices too. Finally got in the checkout line to wrap up my grocery visit. Then I noticed they also had fresh figs and added that to my haul too! Great collection of fruits that may not be easily available elsewhere. Overall the experience was great and I was glad to discover a small local grocery store. Looking forward to visiting again."
"There aren't many lunch options in this area, luckily Deli Of Course is located in my office building. The public can enter through Fargo Street and it's located conveniently two blocks from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The menu is simple with lunch starting at 11 AM. The staff is friendly and prices are relatively cheap. My go to is the Times Square, it has ample pastrami and it goes well with the Russian dressing. If you're looking for something different than Jimmy John's down the block, try this smaller place out."
"Amazing sandwiches. So fresh. So clean. The braided sesame rolls are fluffy and heavenly. Well run place. Always flawless. Try the chicken salad or rare roast beef!!"
"This used to be an old gas station that was converted into a Italian deli & grocery store, shelves filled with Imported olive oil, Vinegar, dry pasta from Italy, polenta, fresh bread, cookies, cakes, candies, a whole wall of frozen entrees, pastas and sauces. They make really good doughy Silician pizza, which they sell by the slices, but they only make a certain amount a day, & when that is gone, it's gone. & they also make mini calazones on Friday-Italian, Chix & Broccoli, Sausage/Peppers & Onions & Meatball. (The Meatballsones are the BEST!!)The deli is filled with imported cheeses, meats such as Prosciutto di Parma, pancetta, sopressata, coppa, & variety of olives and they make fresh sandwiches to order. There is a huge parking lot, so there is always parking, so it is ver convenient to get in & out when you want to pick something up quick for dinner. But it does close early-7pm on weeknights & 5pm on Saturday. Closed on Sundays."
"Why I'll go back: well, yes, the chicken salad, of course...but I rarely walk out with just thatYou HAVE to order: the potato salad (if uber creamy is your thing)Tony's Tip: parking is out front on both sides of a busy street with cars routinely whizzing by. Be careful opening your car door and pulling away or doing a u-turn.To each his own. D&G's reputation is well-established at this point, but not everyone likes their take on chicken salad. For me, it is about as classic as it gets - chunks of white meat chicken and mayo. That's about it. With that foundation, you can go in a million different directions: chicken salad on crackers, a chicken salad sandwich on an onion roll (yes, they sell those), throw in walnuts one day, grapes or cranberries another day, pair it with barbecue chips, or salt & vinegar chips, or even Fritos. Whatever mood you're in, you can customize D&G's chicken salad to your whim. But if you're gonna make a trip all the way out to Norwood for chicken salad, don't leave with one empty hand. Grab a six-pack of fresh onion rolls to jazz up your sandwich a bit. Or throw in a side of potato salad. As heavy on the mayo as the chicken salad is, the potato salad comes slathered in sour cream. Again, not for everyone, but I am a sucker for full-on dairy fat (that includes light cream in my coffee, and yes, I know mayo isn't technically dairy, but you get my point). Don't want the rolls? Don't like sour cream? D&G also sells Wunderbar German bologna. You don't know Wunderbar? It is my favorite - scratch that - it is the ONLY bologna I will buy. Unlike beef bologna, Wunderbar has a subtle sweetness that I absolutely crave and many supermarkets don't carry it. But D&G does.I've only scratched the surface of what's available at D&G. So go get yourself a pint of chicken salad, but make sure not to walk out with an empty hand!"
"Rare 5 Star Review - Fantastic SubsSetup: Small old beaten looking school sandwich shop with many specialty sandwich combinations. This is a rare 5 star review for an indiscript sandwich shop serving what might be the best Italian Sub I have ever eaten. Top quality Italian meats sliced perfectly thin and assembled on a perfect sub roll with veggie and hots marinaded in a tangy vinegar dressing. I really don't know how it could be made any better. You wouldn't even believe when you see the place that they create sandwiches this good. It's ridiculous. I saw them making other sandwiches with chicken cutlets and they looked amazing too. An absolute must stop, but beware of the parking situation. It's tight around this neighborhood. Thanks"
"I was on the hunt for a great fresh pasta shop in Boston to gather some treats to take home on our flight to Indianapolis and Monica's popped up on Yelp. The staff was incredibly friendly in this cozy little pasta shop in the north end neighborhood. We selected a pasta nest for each family member and bagged them up for the road. The next day we thoroughly enjoyed our fresh spinach paparadelle and bucatini. Chef's kiss The store also offers a variety of classic Italian items like cheese, risotto, and Moore. Definitely worth a pitstop as you work your way through this tasty neighborhood."
"The bagels here are very well-known around the city and I do think they live up to the hype. The bagels are not cheap but are a tasty non-NYC option.I came here on a Friday in the late morning. You order at the counter and then take your number to whatever table is open, and bus your own table afterwards. The food came out quick.I got the nova lox sandwich ($13.75) on an everything bagel. The cream cheese was thick and filled the bagel hole in the middle! I wouldn't have minded a larger portion of lox but there was enough to get lox in every bite. I was impressed by how much they packed the bagel with everything seasoning. This is a bagel to stay away from if you are on a date and don't want to be caught with seeds in your teeth.I also tried their latkes ($8.50) which were super delicious fresh. The outside was so crispy and crunchy! The inside was perfectly cooked. The portions are not super big so this isn't the most budget-friendly spot."
"Went here to grab a bite to eat in the morning. There was no other customers early on a Thursday, so I was helped right away. The guy working the counter was super friendly and cooked up a three egg and ham sandwich on wheat that was actually exactly what I was craving that morning--and at a reasonable price ($5). Overall, wasn't sure what to expect for this place, but was very pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite around the area."
"Pros:-Unforgiven sandwich--sounded like a hard no for me when I saw potato salad but this was SO GOOD. Would absolutely order again-Sub bread is really good and not chewyCons:-Cash only currently -Ranch is a bit wateryWill be back!!"
"Ordered a roast beef number 6 Mike's way Sandwich always nice and fresh, meats sliced to order for sandwich Looked like less roast beef since last sandwich there?Clean store, all clean and good.Eating inside was like a meat locker as no heat on???What up with that? Like sitting next to ketchup and mustard inside a refrigerator Need a meatball sub like firehouse subs"
"Stopped in for lunch and had planned for a pastrami or Reuben, but they mentioned then had brisket today... so Brisket was the special and had on rye and excellent quality cooked brisket tender . Sandwich was too much for me . 1/2 was all I needed with soup next time... was very good sandwich . Pickle excellent Jewish deli crunch and taste, coke slaw exactly how I like moist creamy with a kick... owner came over to take order and very hospitable... been in business there 27 years... clearly he knows his meats and exactly what I want when eating at Jewish deli... the knishes the guy beat me was eating looked excellent ... price a bit steep for lunch 17.50 and 20 with drink... but with inflation and quality of sandwich with cole slaw, pickle....a buck or two or 3 higher I'm ok with ... next time ... has to be a pastrami...Quick and easy order system . I was 4-4.5 strs but owner attention to my order and cordial demeanor puts it at a 5."
"A true gem in brighton! Great service and great place to pick up some good food for a reasonable price. Love the Rachael wrap and the Jim's style hot dog -- the flavors tied in so well and love the amount of bacon and meat in each. For the hot dog, I love how the bun held up well while carrying so much inside and that it doesn't break apart. I definitely want to come back to try some more of their options. But I was not a huge fan of their French toast -- I would not come back for this again, but would be open to see if their other breakfast options are tastier."
"What a hidden gem! I've been to Milano's twice now and really enjoyed both times. Service is friendly, and they make the food very fresh. They also have an online order portal, which you get 10% off (only con is there's an order minimum for card; otherwise, cash only).I ordered an eggplant parmesan sandwich both times and it was super yummy. The "small" is a huge portion and plenty enough for lunch. Also, their cannolis are actually better than the ones I've had in the North End (Mike's & Modern); they taste more dessert-y than savory/cheesy.I will definitely be back!"
"Truly one of the best experiences on my Boston trip. Downtown there is a small sandwich shop that on busy days has a line. Hate lines but this is worth it. Small shop with seating inside and great service! Quick and to the point. But it's the combination of flavors and bread I love. Pastrami and corned beef! With slaw and dressing! Oh yes please. The cuban was also about perfect! Chips? Yes. Soda and other drinks? Yes!! Just go!!!"
