"It is connected to Puritan and Co, but has a completely separate menu. First off, service was awesome. Greeted by a guy who was either an owner or the absolute best manager ever. He offered up menus for both Puritan and Co and the Puritan oyster bar to let me decide which place I wanted to sit. Super friendly guy and just seemed like he was made for this business. I didn't expect him to be so accommodating, but it immediately set this place up for 5 stars. The space is so nice. Feels like a cape cod eatery. You definitely get the ocean vibe. It's spacious and nicely decorated. Food was awesome. Lobster roll was delicious. Comes in hot buttered or mayo style. Fries were crispy too. Salmon crudo was refreshing. I could have eaten another plate. Definitely get this dish. Caviar cone had a cool presentation. Also tasty. Yellowtail tacos were fresh and yummy. I could eat quite a few of these. The place does great small plates. I highly recommend getting a mix of things. It was all fresh. They do a selection of oysters too. With the oysters are squeeze bottles of toppings. Brilliant. Cocktails were good too. One had an oyster vodka. Overall... you need to go here. Best spot in Cambridge for small, fresh seafood plates with great flavors. I'll be back."
"The dollar oysters are an incredible deal. Most places with dollar oysters feel like you're getting the left over, tiny oysters that aren't so fresh and about to expire. This place has huge oysters. So sweet and not salty. I will be returning for this deal every week. The short rib egg rolls were also awesome. Not greasy and so flavorful. I was really impressed. I will certainly try more things here but the oysters have won me over. This hands down might be the best spot for happy hour. The only problem is how close to my gym it is. Haha."

I had the Bronzino, tuna Crudo and homemade pistachio ice cream and their Nutella cake. Amazing! This place is great for business lunches ,celebrations, and honestly any occasion. I've also tried the spicy lobster capellini which was divine!! The ambience is very 20th century retro 20s chic! Service was perfect!!!!"
"The lunch deal here is not to be missed. For just over $15 it is enough food to feed me for two meals. Two small entrées, rice, naan, and a dessert. I got lunch here whenever I forgot to pack my lunch at work during the summer."
"We've been ordering their pizzas and salads for years now through DoorDash and always get well packaged, delicious food. One busy Friday night we were waiting longer than usual. When I called to check on the order, the manager Colleen was super nice and honest and admitted they somehow lost our ticket. I'm in the industry and I know mistakes happen. What matters is what is done to fix the mistake. They rushed our order along and sent me a giftcard to dine-in.I took my daughter here for lunch earlier today to use our giftcard and we had a wonderful experience! We were lucky to have the whole place to ourselves. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was good as always! While they're called Za and their pizza is awesome, it's their fresh and delicious salads that really keep me coming back."
"Cute eatery in the South End, but you definitely pay out the nose. Lunch for me and my cousin ended up being around $120 including tip (talk about sticker shock). I had been looking for a place that does one dollar oysters - Black Lamb has $2 oysters every weekday (all day on Monday and it ends at 5pm on Tuesday-Friday) - the ones we got that day were a tad on the puny side and quite briny. Overall, not my favorite, I'm partial to the West Coast ones. I also wasn't a fan of any of the three sauces they gave. Usually, I'm big into the cocktail sauce/horseradish, but they gave the two in the same cup and the ratio was too much horseradish, not enough cocktail sauce. We got the pickle plate and the parker house rolls with pimento cheese. The pickles didn't do it for me but I'm also not big on sour. The house rolls were the bomb - get the pimento cheese with it (the $4 was well-spent). The village salad was a tiny, tiny amount of vegetables for $16. Yes, I'm still bitter days later. I was thinking it might be big enough for an entree and wish I had thought to ask before putting in the order. I basically ate the whole thing in five minutes and watched my cousin devour her duck leg (which, incidentally, was quite a generous portion) for the rest of lunch. Surely, they could've coughed up some more heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers for that price? Our waiter was nice and personable! He gave ample warning about the bees in the outdoor area. Parking: It's the South End. Walk or take public transport instead."
"Oh how the mighty have fallen. Ive had a special relationship with Southern Kin. Not only have I been coming since the beginning, when assembly row was only a fraction of what it is today, but my reviews for Southern Kim brought me recognition I had never experienced before in my early days of writing reviews. The southern cuisine landscape in the area was something like a culinary desert at the time. Along came Southern Kin with its big, bright, vibrant space. I used to bring friends and family here! A menu filled with southern favorites, none better than the chicken and waffles and the buttery biscuit. Over the years, things have seem to deteriorate. By not so much that I didn't go back. Others have given up but I always gave it another chance. 7 years later, I must sadly walk away. The latest experience was so far from quality, it's almost unbelievable. A southern fried chicken with no crispy breading. For the first time in my entire life, I asked for a new plate of food. A very similar piece of chicken was delivered on the second go round. Is southern friend chicken no longer crispy? A waffle that is as flimsy as a price of paper. A biscuit that has absolutely no crumbly quality, almost resemble a dinner roll. Another first? After almost 700 reviews, having to finally update 1 because the original no longer is applicable. It pains me to say, not only is the Southern Kin of old no more, but I can't even say it's of decent quality. Until things change, look elsewhere."
"Their menu is eclectic, lots of various options (seafood, burgers, chicken, buffalo nachos). Great covered outdoor seating available. We started with the buffalo chicken dip, which was delicious, not too spicy. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich, which I felt was a little pricey at $20, but was quite tasty. I ordered the swordfish picata special, which was a decent size portion, but too lemony (that was the only flavor I could taste, and a lot of it); that may be personal preference, i just like a milder lemon/butter flavor vs. sucking on a lemon directly. We didn't have room for desert, but they had several options that sounded very good. Service was good. Luckily we got there just before the dinner rush, as they started filling up halfway through our meal."
"Pretty good spot. Drinks were great, ambience is the cool side of Amazon's home decor, hummus plate was pretty good. Prices are reasonable but on the high end.The service was fantastic. Down to earth, personable, and gave great recommendations for what to order. Highlights included their award-winning cocktail (I forget the name, I think it had elderflower? Maybe lavender?) and the truffle deviled eggs. We asked for the bacon in the side and received a generous portion. 4 stars for it not really pushing the boundaries much when it comes to the experience. I kind of expected more exciting things on the menu based on the look of the place online. Nevertheless, I was happy and would maybe go back if I didn't have anything else to try!"
"Italian restaurants in the Northeast are light years better than Italian restaurants in Texas where I live. This is upscale Italian so it is reasonable to expect higher standards.I could not tell you where Cappella rates compared to upscale Italian restaurants in New England. But Cappella is freaking amazing.Pure and unadulterated happiness on a stick.I don't care if Cappella is #1 or #63,598.I want to eat there again and I want to eat there all the time.* * *The bartending is very good at Cappella.I was drunk and happy at Cappella so my memory of details is not as "accurate to the fifth digit" as I would like it to be.The menu changes frequently, so using the internet menu as a spur to the memory is not all that helpful.I will tell you what I do remember - because what I remember was completely happy and wonderful.a) There was a house original mixed drink was. Whatever that drink was - it was powerful and amazing. (Heckler at the back: It was forgetfulness potion!)Yeah, Heckler. Maybe it was.b) I had a modern appetizer and a traditional main course. The modern appetizer got an A. The traditional main course was A +++++++++++c) The appetizer was thinly sliced tempura acorn squash with pistachios, butter and drizzles of a white dip.Acorn squash is just good. New Englanders get acorn squash all the time.We in Texas get acorn squash rarely. The squash travels just fine and the squashes are good. But you would pay more for a car than you would for an acorn squash in Texas.(Cars are cheap in Texas. Pickup trucks are even cheaper.)Note that just a plain ordinary baked acorn squash cut in half with the seeds removed and butter in the middle would have utterly delighted me.The tempura coating here was so light as to be nearly non-existent.All the better to taste your squash with - my dear.Sauteed pistachios are just good.I would have gone with any white dip they wanted for a sauce as long as it was not Crest toothpaste.I was happy.d) The follow up was the chicken parmigano of my dreams.Which is like saying the follow up was the honeymoon sex of my dreams.Yeah the sex looked like the sex had by everyone else on the planet. But I kind of suspect I had a superior version of a classic. We have had ho hum parmigano dishes before.Heck you can get a chicken parmigano at any one of four hundred sub shops in the Boston Area.No surprises as to what was good here.A good natural tomato sauce. No marinara. No spicing. Just very good tomatoes doing their job.A fine crusting and saute on a very good chicken breast.Cheese being cheese. That was all I needed.I was in complete bliss for most of an hour.e) It broke my heart I couldn't have dessert.I would have exploded all over the restaurantWhich might have been distasteful for other patrons.f) I sat outside on Chapel Street.Chapel Street down where Cappella is is both scenic and not scenic. The good news is that you get lovely views of both Needham Town Hall and Saint Joseph's Church. The bad news is that you are in the heart of the dry cleaning district - and next to a gas station to boot.(A major one that services the needs of much of the Needham population.)There are a lot of diners going to and from Cappella or the other well frequented restaurants of Chapel Street. So there is a scene to watch - and some beautiful buildings to look at.If I had spilled tomato sauce on my shirt - which I didn't,I had a broad choice of places to bring my dry cleaning the next day.* * *Altogether a wonderful and magical evening. An evening to remember served with magical potions of forgetfulness."
"Such a fun and up-scale bar! Seats are quite close together but with such a nice view the staff is really helpful and accommodating to try and get you seated in the area you want. We wanted to be seated in a less tight space and near the window and they happily moved us! We ordered two cocktails that came with complimentary snacks to munch on. Cocktails were great! Sooo yum, would recommend the two we got if you like more sweeter, less alcohol forward drinks. It was my friends birthday so I asked if they did anything for birthdays and the waiter said she got us. She had me pick from two desserts and we got the egg tart -- SO YUM!! But we ended up getting charged for it anyway even thought we were told otherwise which was....interesting. But regardless would love to come back again, apparently they'll have DJs and open dance floor but didn't get to confirm that with the workers."
"Food was good. Wait staff was excellent. Attentive. Yet left you alone. Portions were right sized - at least for me. I liked that you ordered items individually. You could order 1 taco. Or 3 tacos. Or 6 tacos. Option of outdoor seating. Parking on street or a big parking lot out back."

Great spot to enjoy some seafood raw bar! The deco is trendy and the vibe in the place is very modern and hip! We loved our great cocktails, the fresh oysters, the rich flavor of the shrimp cocktail, salmon tartare and mango/avocado salsa... everything was delicious and to our liking. Definitely will be back soon!

We were attending a concert at the Roadrunner, and Rail Stop is incredibly convenient across the street. We knew we were in for a long night, and Rail Stop prepped us with delicious, filling meals. The steak tips are a generous portion of tender meat with a delicious bourbon sauce. They are accompanied by a large amount of green beans and fluffy, whipped cheesy mashed potatoes. My son really enjoyed the burger, with their house tomato jam and bread and butter pickles. The interior is clean and attractive, and the seating is comfortable for slow paced, relaxing conversation. In the bar, music was playing from the artist performing across the street, which helped set a nice vibe for the night.

I loved my experience at Contessa !I arrived shortly after 5p on a Friday without a reservation. I had planned to go to the bar and hoped for open seating. I did have to wait for maybe 15 minutes before a spot for me became available. I was served a drink while I waited. From the bartender's recommendation of the octopus or calamari, she told me to go with the octopus and I'm SO glad I did. The octopus was probably one of the best I had. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. And the peppers had the perfect balance of sweet and acidic. The sweet corn ravioli was just as memorable and delicious as the octopus. The bar tender was able to recommend a white wine that would pair nicely for the two dishes. The bartender was friendly was friendly. It's definitely worth it for special occasions, and I will be back.

Tried Nirvana for the first time with my boyfriend this evening! Sat outside but inside of restaurant was really pretty and seemed to have decent ambiance. Started off with a round of cocktails (I believe I ordered the masala chai punch) and they were only $13 a pop which is pretty reasonable for Cambridge. Since it was just us, we ordered the Royal dinner for two which is $60 and it included appetizer(s), naan+entrees, and two little desserts! Honestly one of the best bang for your buck meals I've found so far in Cambridge, we both left full and still had some leftovers to take home. Don't know the name of the two little tart looking things but they were yummy! The soup was very tumeric-y and flavorful and the meat somasoas were huge! This plus three entree mains, naan, and rice was more than enough to eat! This was a fun way to try a variety of dishes and getting an "introduction" to the restaurant. Most everything we had was absolutely delicious and flavorful, and food came out fast! The tandoori chicken was a little overcooked but other than that everything was pretty much perfect. Very much enjoyed my first dining experience here and will definitely be back!

Easily the best meal I had while in Boston. The location is tucked away from obvious tourist attractions, but still accessible near the Back Bay area. It's not often I see an "industry brunch" offered on a Monday. It's a great idea when I think about it, especially since this isn't a weekday lunch powerhouse spot like a sandwich shop near the financial district would be. Service was excellent. It felt fluid, well spoken, and well paced in regard to the food. The smoked salmon rillettes (a type of salmon spread) was an explosion of fresh dill and smoked salmon! Every bite was as strong as the first and you should savor it as much as you can. If there was one seafood appetizer you order, this is it!The Tuna poke is not as amazing in flavor as the salmon rillettes, but it's quite satisfying and a great, small portioned dish. I could have ate an entire popcorn of that poke with how everything was well balanced, easy to eat, and quite nutritious. Salt and vinegar chips are made in house and taste exactly as described. I'm a big fan of salt and vinegar chips, so I scarfed these down with ease. The cornbread with butter and pimento was way better than I thought it would be. They serve it in a skillet and this definitely made the texture nice and crispy. The inside was sweet but still savory, while the texture was most buy still has some structure. The whipped butter is base level delicious, but you should also pay extra for the pimento. It's made in house, and it may be the best pimento I've had! Fries are good, but pale in comparison to the other items. Perhaps this is more of a personal preference in my critique? These are still good fries, but I guess the only way they could be better would be a little thicker, crispier, and more seasoning. Don't feel discouraged from ordering them, but rather temper your expectations. The lamb burger was great! They asked you how you want it cooked and I said medium. It came out exactly as I wanted! The flavor of the lamb is pronounced but not too the point that it's offal or pungent. There picked onions and 1000 Island dressing are nice touches. This is not that great for sharing, unless you leave it uncut.

If you are looking for a hidden gem with great food, fantastic drinks, and outstanding servers, then Magnolia 525 is the place to go. For the customers that went there years ago it has changed hands, and the owners, Larry and Tamie, are amazing. They are always checking on the customers to make sure that they are satisfied We have eaten there at least 50 times... and never had a bad experience. Sometimes when a restaurant is busy, there are those customers that just can't be happy... free drinks... free appetizers... something taken off of the bill? Not good enough- the prices are excellent, and you get huge portions. Everything is made to order and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is great and it is very clean! Stop in bring your friends and eat up you won't be disappointted...
Visit Restaurant Page"I could not visit Boston without trying Boston Cream Pie, and what better place I thought than the place that claims to have invented it? When I initially read that the Omni Parker House Hotel's claim to fame was creation of the pie, I was a little confused since it was a hotel and wondered if you had to be a guest to try it. After some quick research, I found that Last Hurrah, the onsite bar, served it. Needless to say, I made my way over to the hotel for a little dessert. Last Hurrah is immediately to the left when you enter Omni Parker House. Like the hotel itself, the bar has an upscale aesthetic with lots of earth tones, woods, and high-end finishes. Theres' a variety of seating types available, including tables, lounge areas, and the bar. It was kinda busy when I arrived but was able to snag a seat at the bar and started to browse the menu. They had a decent variety of drinks and food - I decided on a drink and ordered the Boston Cream Pie. The drink was good - I had the Hemingway Special which was smooth and had good flavor. I was disappointed in the pie - the cake was dry, and the cream wasn't smooth - almost like it was split or something. I expected more from the place that claims to have invented the dessert - but like other instances, the original isn't always the best. Service was good, the bartender was friendly and made sure I was taken care of. Overall, I would come back to Last Hurrah for another drink and to try more of their food, but I would seek Boston Cream Pie elsewhere."
"Very cute bar situated steps below street level, can be easily missed if you didn't know what you were looking for.We sat at the bar for a drink during our journey walking through the city, so glad we found this little cute gem of a place! Came early dinner time and the place was empty, drinks were creative and very yummy! Definitely worth a visit!"
"Really cool bar above the restaurant A&H, though I'd come back on a less busy day of the week. We went on a Thursday evening and the place was absolutely slammed. (Also, if you're a total newbie like me, don't go around the corner outside below the Longfellow sign, you'll just see a staircase leading down to the basement. You need to go inside the restaurant above the sign Brattle Hall and the bar is upstairs. I popped in and asked the hostess where Longfellow was and she very coolly told me I was already here. Whoops.)We put in 3/4 of our drink orders well before this massive group swept through and went out onto the rooftop deck, but didn't get most of our drinks until maybe half an hour to 45 minutes later. I didn't mind since we were all catching up, but it did feel like we were forgotten about, when our waitress started bartending too (or mixing ... I forget whether bartenders at cocktail bars prefer to be called mixologists instead). One of our party ordered a drink a few minutes after the rest of the group did and she just never got her drink. Seems maybe they go drink by drink rather than table by table? Given how long we waited by then, she just cancelled her drink and we all opted to not order a second round, which is a shame, since the ingredients and combos all sounded pretty inventive. Mine was good, a tad on the sweet side. The setting is beautiful - the seats at the horseshoe bar would be great for a date or relaxing dinner. We didn't order any of the food. All in all, check it out if you don't have anywhere else to be/aren't falling asleep by 9pm (I'm guilty of the second one, for sure)."
"We finally got to check out Fool's Errand after they reopened and were not disappointed.Everything we tried surprised us in the best possible way. We went for four cocktails that seemed to have an interesting balance of herbaceous / earthy notes: mattress money, espresso martini (not what you're thinking--this one features cynar, averna, and branca mentha), grandma's baby, and a blended scotch flip style cocktail with beets we forgot the name of. They were all lovely, but those first two were our favorites. They certainly delivered in the unique/funky direction, and none felt too sweet. It was so fun and lovely to have an espresso martini that focused on different dimensions of bitter that complemented the coffee and with sweet underlying, not playing center.I particularly enjoyed that they all took several moments to unfold and tell a story. You got something distinct at the beginning, something new in the middle, and something quite different at the end. This happened perhaps a bit less in the beet cocktail, but it intriguingly grew more earthy as we kept sipping. We asked the bartender at the end who came up with them and he said he did! So on top of being a wonderful, personable and kind server, he was the talent behind the lovely menu. Kudos Rob, looking forward to returning."
"A hit every time. BIG sandwiches with generous sides... but don't miss the onion rings either. Beer selection is great, service is great. Ambience is pub-ish but I find a variety of people of all ages here. Vegetarians should note that substitutions for sandwiches are the best way to get a good combo. Don't settle for anything, and keep in mind both the exceptional truffle and exceptional saffron aiolis. Bon apetit! I can't wait to go back."
"Interior is stunning, with gorgeous seats and an ambiance that is perfect for a date night. The cozy, luxurious seating enhances the overall experience and the service was excellent. We got:- Portuguese Sweet Rolls w/ chamomile butter ($8) - Salt Cod Bolinhos w/ saffron mayo ($15) - Shrimp Mozambique w/ chili, lemon, cerveja ($18)- Grilled Mushrooms w/ harissa, charred onion yogurt, fried shallot ($17)- Piri Piri Poussin w/ fries, roasted garlic aioli ($34)For dessert we got: - Portuguese Egg Tart- SohnosThe sweet rolls were a great starter, not the best I've had but good enough. The piri piri and fries were heavily salted, but everything else was delicious and highly recommended. Do note that a 3% "administrative fee" is added to the end of your meal. Overall, a great dining experience."
"Stopped in on an autumn evening for a late weekday dinner. Really nice space. Casual but stylish design. Small bar crowd watching sports, couples eating at tables in the back. Delicious salad and burger. Will be back when we are in the neighborhood."
"Just moved to the Boston area and celebrated our anniversary here. The clam chowder was excellent NE, and the French Onion soup was classic. I had the baked oysters, which was a first for me and I'd return for them as well as the mussels! We had the special Sea Bass and the Seafood Risotto, both large portions and excellent! Their special Old Fashion was made the same way as my all time favorite of bourbon on the rocks with an orange slice or twist but made perfect muddled with sugar and cherries. The Old Fashioned and wine were huge free pours.Reservations are difficult to get, so plan early and let them respond with availability. The large private parking lot is not large enough!! Cars were overflowing to the side street! Will return for sure!"
"Pretty interesting, seafood-centered dishes - and a reservation here is easier to come by than Giulia's. Even on a busy weekday night, I could still hear the people across from and sitting next to me (not a fan of places where you come out of dinner with a sore throat from having to yell to be heard). However, the food was not as good as I hoped, particularly given the price point. We ordered 5 dishes from the main menu, which turned out to be a perfect amount of food (our waitress recommended 6-8 for three people), and a dessert. My favorites were the tuna d'nuja, or minced tuna with Calabrian chili (the bread on the side, however, was way too burnt), the bucatini, and the dark chocolate bread pudding. The bucatini in particular was cooked perfectly. That said, a few of the other dishes were too heavy on the salt for my preference, including the chickpea pancake and the sprouting cauliflower. Our waitress was wonderful and patient in going over the various dishes on the menu. Overall, though, it was about $180 for three people, so not a cheap dinner, and I was still hungry after we left. I'd give it another try, though, if I'm in the neighborhood."
"Really great place to grab some apps and a drink. We came here after picking out a Christmas tree across the lot. Burrata was a 10/10. Croquettes we're very good as well. The drink that was served hot was DELICIOUS. The raspberry drink is a one and done for me."
"What a cool bar! My friends told me about this place while we were in eastie and I'm so glad they did. The menu has a ton of options from small bites to good portions. The fries and fries pickles are my favorite. I orders a Mexican salad once and it was tasty. The bar has typical options for drinks and pickle back shots if you're interested. The service is always great. Bring your friends or come on a date you won't regret it."
"Amazing dirty chai martini! This was my first time here since new ownership. The menu has a lot of diner items like before but with an Indian flair. My friend and I both ordered breakfast for dinner. I had the French toast with berries & and she had the waffle with 2 eggs. The French toast was delicious, I loved the extra spice (cardamom/cinnamon). Service was great and we were both very happy with our meals & cocktails.I will definitely come back and try their dinner items. The fried chicken we saw other people eating looked so good!!"
"I liked the non alcoholic mixed hibiscus drink best. The beers didn't do it for me. And my friends agreed. I would go back to try a small burger. First visit was kinda weird vibes. I'm in my late twenties and the male bartender carded us so hard that he was quizzing us on our friends names. I've never felt that uncomfortable being carded but we also don't look like high schoolers and we're all mid-late twenties so was a bit off vibe wise. The female bartender looked really cool and probably knit her own sweater."
"This place is truly amazing! They have got it all, the seafood dishes are fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. We started out with oyster rocafella, then seared salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus , sword fish topped with jumbo shrimp and spinach , and grilled halibut with roasted carrots. We also got a coconut cream brûlée for dessert. The service was helpful and friendly. The place is a nice, casual elegance fell. I really look forward to go back again soon!"
"I loved it here. I couldn't tell whether it was a restaurant or if it was going to turn into a nightclub because of the loud music. I read the reviews before coming in and it seemed like all the positive reviews were eat-in experiences and all the negative reviews were takeout or delivery. It's definitely worth the time to eat in. They have all the items listed in Spanish so you're able to order correctly if you aren't fluent. Rincon has a large space for many tables, and there were only 3 other groups here, plus the bar, which made it feel more private. I didn't get exactly what I ordered but I loved what I was served. I ordered shrimp with coconut sauce, with rice + beans, veggies, and tostones. I got 6 shrimp which was a great portion, but I didn't get vegetables, just a small side salad. My friend ordered their chicken and he said it was very flavorful and filling. Vanessa was a great waitress, kind and patient. I love authentic food for a great price which is what I think Rincon definitely provides. They gave us plenty of time to eat without rushing us. It only got 4 stars because it was so loud it was hard to speak with my friend, and although I loved my food, it wasn't exactly what I ordered. I'll definitely return keeping this in mind.Ambience: 4/5 (beautiful + spacious but very loud)Food: 5/5Service: 4.5/5Rincon: 4.5/5"
"One of my favorite sushi places in Boston!!! True hidden gem. The ambiance and decor of Purple Shell is a bit lacking; when you walk in it doesn't look like anything special. The food (quality AND presentation) is what blows this place out the water. Ignore the LARGE menu, complete with pictures (the combo of those 2 usually scare me off). It is easier to use the online menu (than the paper version) because all 93748595 food items are neatly organized. I ordered the pan fried pork gyoza, crab rangoons, the fire salmon, torched toro maki roll, and a bunch of pieces of the signature nigiri (torched wagyu, double tuna, torched salmon belly). Every.single.item. was DELICIOUS. The fish was all SO fresh; tasted like it was caught the morning of. The gyoza and the crab rangoons were perfectly lightly fried and crunchy. Each piece of nigiri had a pop of flavor, the flavor combinations blended so well. I ended up ordering doubles and triples of the nigiri. The service was friendly, and helpful. Our waitress gave us several recommendations and informed us of her favorites. She was always around if we wanted to order more food, but was not lingering or nagging. I really loved Purple Shell and would highly recommend to everyone! Love love love this restaurant!!"
"Good Food and Cheap BeersI went here at the last minute with a friend before an AEW event and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was very nice and had a range of selections. We both ended up getting the burger and it was excellent and perfectly cooked. There was also a great selection of cocktails and reasonably priced oysters! It took a little longer than I would have expected for our food to arrive but not outrageously so. Service was friendly and I would definitely go back before my next visit to the Garden.Tip: Hamms Cans for 4 bucksThanks"
"Cambridge doesn't deserve Vinh Le. We're here giving five stars to Waypoint and Alden and Harlow, we need to get our culinary issues sorted before we get gifted quality like Cicada and Saigon Babylon.Holy moly is this place good. I'm not talking "date night good" or "rooftop bar good". I'm talking some of the best food I've eaten in this city good. And it's good for a date. And it's a rooftop come on people how are you not already eating here?!Atmosphere is cute, a bit busy and crowded on the inside, but step outside and it's a totally different scene. Chill little tables and an unobstructed view so nice it'll make you a NIMBY. Cambridge is totally unaffordable and STILL we get awesome restaurants like this one.The dishes are what you might expect if you've been to Cicada, carefully crafted modern takes on Vietnamese dishes. If you come here and don't get the Bac Ninh you have wasted your trip. This dish is probably one of the best things I've had in Boston generally. The duck is perfectly salty and greasy, the noodles are fresh and whatever magic they do with the sauce should be outlawed. Or given a medal. Something should happen to it.The Nom Chay (I think) was really interesting - it had a metric ton of mint on there but somehow that worked with the other ingredients, making this mix of texture and flavor that didn't have the wow of the Bac Ninh but was new and different. The way the dishes are presented is also just gorgeous, each part of it is layered for a complete bite. It's like Le knows we Cambridge people are too stupid to figure it out ourselves. (we are)"
"This place was a hidden gem; even their entrance felt hidden. We came here after dinner to drink; we ordered three rounds. We tried Rio to Tokyo, San Juan to Hanoi, Lima to Dubai, Pennies del cielo, and Guavaleada. It was interesting that they mixed flavors from the departure city to the final destination into a drink. All drinks are presented beautifully, and you really can taste the alcohol. Since we both can't drink without snacks, even though we had dinner less than half an hour ago, we ordered the wagyu temaki, snow crab temaki, negi toro temaki, and yuzu rotate temaki. The quality of the ingredients was fresh, and there was not much rice. The menu is limited; don't come here if you expect a full meal unless you want to eat a poke bowl and/or are willing to pay a lot more just for small bites.I am willing to return if I am around the area for drinks and small bites."
"I love the other Shojo location so definitely had to try this one when I heard it was opening. I visited here with a few friends. Would definitely get a reservation - the place was poppin when we went on a Saturday evening. Large space inside with fun funky decor. Dark lighting for some ~ vibes ~. The wait staff were all so friendly. Food and drinks were just as great as their other location. Pork bao buns - so yum! The fried rice is always a great go-to as well. I felt like there were a few cocktails that were not there at the menu on the other restaurant. I have 2 vegan friends and they love eating at the Shojo locations because there are lots of vegan friendly items and are well labeled. DEFINITELY will go again!"
"I was in town for a conference in the Seaport and wanted to find an outstanding restaurant for my first meal. After reviewing several sites, plus Yelp, I selected Chickadee. What caught my attention was several of the principals had worked at Barbara Lynch's No 9 Park and Chickadee's amazing 4.5 score on Yelp. It's self-described as a New England-born and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant. There were plenty of reservations available mid-afternoon Tuesday on Resy, which I found surprising for a great restaurant. I selected a 6pm reservation.Having read an extensive review of Chickadee in Boston Magazine, I was ready to order quickly. I started with two signatures: the Smoked Sea Trout Dip and the Crispy Hen of the Woods. The Trout is buried under a layer of light hollandaise-like sauce. The Hen of the Woods mushrooms look like a crazy Bloomin' Onion atop a thick puree of potatoes, walnuts and garlic. Both were excellent and so unique.I was debating between the Spring Onion Spetzle or the Lobster Campanelle pasta. I asked Santiago, my server, which I should pick and he suggested the Lobster. He said the Lobster is somewhat spicy, with Calabrian chili. I asked for it to be served on the side.I can't put my finger on what I disliked about the pasta. It was bland. And the chili sauce was too spicy to be added. You'd think with lobster, it had to be good. I ate about a quarter of my plate and it just wasn't working for me. I set the dish aside and waited for Santiago's return. He asked me if I wanted to box it, and I said no.What I found odd is why he wouldn't have asked if there was an issue with the pasta. But since he didn't ask me, he'll need to read this review. After two amazing starters, I was disappointed with my entrée. As I walked out, the two managers thanked me for visiting, but didn't ask how my meal was.I don't know what would have happened if I told Santiago I didn't like the pasta. Ditto for the managers. Maybe they would have found some accommodation. Regardless, I tipped Santiago 20% and called it a night. I was in the restaurant for one hour."
"Trade in Boston, Massachusetts is a stylish and beautiful Mediterranean restaurant led by co-owner and James Beard Award-winning Chef, Jody Adams. We love a female chef. This is an easy-shareable spot. Almost every dish is shareable. The restaurants is inspired by the Greek way of life of fostering relationships, building conversations and connections over the sharing of plates. -website Every dish seemed like it had a meaning. All dishes we tried were rich in flavor and had a connection with Mediterranean cuisine. My group enjoyed the crispy calamari, burrata, hummus and pita, spinach pizzette, and then I had the tuna and rice bowl as my entree. We went for a non-drinking lunch but I must say something about the cocktails at this spot. The cocktails are fantastic and the bar is elegant and beautiful.Just a suggestions. No big deal! On fire halloumi cheese."
"I've been to this place a few times and the food here is delicious. I ordered the Lahori chicken special pizza and it's soooooo good!!! The chicken is super tender and the ingredients all make sense together. I also had other things and forgot to take a pic but the veggie samosa and malai kofta was sooooo good! The staff was super nice and the service was great. I'll be returning for sure!"
