City Bar

Good drink selection but the bar is not expansive, they don't have cachaca and can't make a caipirinha. Great service. This is located inside the Lenox hotel and there is no indication of it from the street... sort of difficult to find.Ambience is dark and moody. I was surprised to see a fake/electric fireplace lit in July!

Wow I loved!!!! A cozy, intimate bar. Perfect to enjoy after a long day of exploring Boston. They made a great espresso martini and beer cheese pretzel as a snack. Would definitely come here again to enjoy a few drinks. Nice ambiance, great service, and great drinks!!

One of the only places that's open past 10, this is a good bar to see and be seen. In the heart of Copley, convenient to the mall and hotels, this spot always serves up cold beverages and tasty food. My friend and I go there every time we stay at the Marriott (a quick 3 minute walk) and always return happy and smiling! I'd recommend this place as a good, cozy bar that has good drinks, good food, and very good service! See you soon!!

This bar was an enjoyable experience! The food was top notch! Highly recommend the butterscotch pudding and Asian fusion cauliflower bites. Our bartender, John, was very attentive and personable. The drinks were amazing! He even designed a special drink for my friend based solely off of her likes and dislikes and hit spot on!

Beautiful bar located inside The Lenox Hotel. It has an old fashioned smoky vibe with friendly service. The food was delicious and the mixed drinks were generously poured. Great for a date night, friends, or small business meeting.

We were out and about in Boston on a Thursday night looking for dinner. It was after 10 PM and nearly everything was already closed in the neighborhood and whatever was still open was no longer serving food. I am thankful we found City Bar, where their kitchen was still open and they have "late night" eats (quotation marks around late night because 10 PM is hardly that late in a major city to me) It was packed - it seemed everyone needed a place to go on the slow Thursday evening. We waited at the bar to order a drink. Enter Janelle, the bartender. She is AWESOME. She signaled to us that a couple further down was leaving soon so we could take their seats. She literally held down the fort for us so that we were able to sit immediately after the couple left. Reminder that the entire bar was PACKED and she saved the seats for us.From there, I told her I was scouting the area for food and that's how we happened upon City Bar. She highly recommended the chicken tenders and I ordered a wine to go along with it. Great pour, great food, great service, and the music was on point too (reggae island vibes). Absolutely love it there - highly recommend!

I come to Boston A lot for visits. I usually end up at City Bar for their chill vibe and greatcocktails. I have not really had their food so I can't and won't post about it.

I can't say enough about this venue, the staff, the quality of the food.We hosted my daughters engagement party last weekend and had people from all over the country join to celebrate. To a person, the remarks were 100% positive. Thank you Taylor Marshall, Stephen, Maddy - all who helped make this event flawless. You can't say in life that many things are "perfect" - City Bar and its staff certainly met that standard.Crystal Canney

On Sunday Ben is working and he is an amazing bartender! The spicy bolognese was really good but the steak frites was the show stopper! Great flavoring and cook on the steak and the fries were cooked to perfection!

Do NOT come here. I got a drink with a friend here last night and we were sitting at a table enjoying our drinks when a waiter came to clean up the table next to us. The waiter accidentally knocked over and spilled my drink and didn't realize it, so my friend kindly went up to the bartender explaining what happened and asked if we could get the drink replaced. The waiter stepped in and basically told us that the bartender was requesting us to leave and that we were exceeding our 'time limit' as well. We were quite confused as all we did was calmly and kindly ask for another drink since mine was spilled. They told my friend he couldn't finish his current drink and that we had to leave immediately. I was extremely disappointed to interact with such rude, unacommodating staff members at what I thought was a classy bar.
