PROS: Very nice nightclub at night. Live music, tourist and native favorite, and the bouncers were very nice CONS: The bartenders were a bit nasty to me. Also, there is only street parking OVERALL: Besides the personalities of the bartenders I would highly recommend coming here

We had a great dinner at Carrie Nation before the Jelly Roll concert. Reservations were easy to make, but we went before the dinner rush so you could probably walk in. The restaurant has a speakeasy prohibition vibe with low lighting and photos all over. Our server came over pretty quick with waters and our took our drink order. We decided to go for the three menu price fix items. I started with the seasonal squash soup and homemade roll, they were both delicious. My driend ordered the Caesar salad, said it was a standard Caesar- the dressing had a bit more of a mayo flavor but overall good. Next we shared the pesto tortellini and chicken breast. The pesto sauce was creamy with big shavings of Parmesan on top. The chicken was amazing, with potatoes, bacon, peas and a squash/sweet potato mash. We ended the night with a crème brûlée and cheese and crackers plate. The crème brûlée had a nice crunchy top and creamy inside. There were five different types of cheese and three biscuit type crackers. Drinks were filled as needed and the server checked in on us a decent number of times. I would absolutely recommend dining here. It's also great for groups with some pool tables and seating in a back lounge style area.

I've heard good things about this place but I think most people come here just for the cocktails.I came here for dinner and got the beef ragu. The sauce lacked flavor and the beef was very chewy. The pasta was stick together in one clump. I also got the Drugstore Cowboy cocktail and that was very good.Overall, I would not recommend an actual meal here.

Much better place to grab a drink and hang than to eat dinner. Our group was seated in the back and kind of forgotten about as the night went on. Pasta portion was small, unevenly cooked, and a little cold. A lot of things were not available on both the cocktail and entree menu. Our group had a better time when we got up and went to the bar / danced to the live music

Came here for my cousins birthday and enjoyed a nice cocktail hour! Their creamsicle delights are amazing! And so are their espresso martinis. Service was great and the ambiance is calm but nice. Their clam chowder is also amazing, will be coming back!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4 and 7 pm, Carrie Nation offers $1 oysters. Unable to resist the allure of such value, I went to Carrie Nation on a Wednesday at 4pm. Predictably, staff seemed unoccupied and I sat myself at the bar immediately. I ordered a dozen oysters, which arrived promptly. They seemed fresh, plump, and delicious, given that the day's oysters originated from the East Coast. Apparently, the origin varies by day or several days. A couple had a bit of grit, but at this price point, I overlooked such a detail. The oysters arrived with 4 garnishes - lemon, cocktail sauce w/horseradish, a spicy mignonette, and a tart and garlicky mignonette. Personally, I preferred a dash of lemon and horseradish.Additionally, the establishment had Maine Lunch IPA on tap for $11. Any place w/this IPA already receives an elevated standing in my mind.In summary, for happy hour oysters, consider Carrie Nation.

I'm surprised the ratings are only average here! I have nothing but positive remarks about Carrie Nation. A group of 8 of us were able to get a reservation for a Friday night just a couple days before. The space was elegantly decorated for Christmas and a cabaret trio was playing holiday tunes. Our server was extremely friendly and accommodating - going so far as to getting our names on a "skip the line" list for the speakeasy after dinner. My squash salad was one of the best salads I've had in my life. 10/10!
