"I hadn't been to Brown Sugar in about 20 years!! Actually reading that sentence outloud makes me feel ooooold.Brown Sugar is still amazing. I went in on a cold winter night recently and the restaurant was nice and warm. They had jazz piano playing and the vibe was perfect. The service was amazing. The gaprow chicken is one of the best. I asked if it could be medium spicy and it was perfect. The chicken satay was delicious, tender and flavorful. The thai ravioli are filled with pork and shrimp which isn't my favorite but they were still good."
"Friends that are locals visit this lovely restaurant in Chinatown regularly, so we met them at Penang for a wonderful dinner. They made reservations for eight of us and they had the perfectly sized round table to accommodate our large group.Thankfully, it wasn't extremely busy because we were there for quite a long time. There was no pressure to push us out the door and everyone really enjoyed their food.I had the mango shrimp which was very reminiscent of sweet and sour. It was very sweet, and I was hoping for a little bit more of a spicy kick as it was described in the menu. The chicken satay was delicious and I tasted the chow Fun-which was just like I had when I was a kid.The watermelon (non alcoholic) drink that I ordered was delicious. I specifically asked for no additional sugar and it was light and refreshing. Next time I really want to try the red bean shake!"

"Don't you even think about letting the outside affect your inclination to immediately visit My Thai Vegan Cafe. Located up some questionable stairs on the second floor of a non-descript building in Chinatown, this unassuming vegan establishment is worth MANY visits.-Ambiance: what one would expect for a small, local business that places emphasis on the food, not the extras. That said, very comfy with a great view (because second floor).-Staff: friendly, welcoming, forthcoming with trustworthy recommendations.-Food: yes yes yes. Oh yes. EVERYTHING is vegan. EVERYTHING. As such, one can order vegan shrimp, vegan beef, vegan chicken, vegan duck, vegan pork, vegan veal, tofu, seitan, and bubble tea made with plant based milk. And we did. The steamed dumplings are packed with vegan chicken and veggies, beautifully seasoned, and accompanied by not ONE but TWO delicious dipping sauces. The Pad See Ew Plus (plus means you get multiple vegan proteins - definitely do this) was prepared expertly. I could have used a bit more sauce, but otherwise it was perfect. My dining companion raved about her yellow curry noodle soup; I tried a bite and it took most of my willpower not to steal it from her.-Value: excellent. For delicious, vegan, Thai food in Boston, absolutely worth it.I'm considering making many trips back to Boston with the sole purpose of trying many more dishes. You probably should too."
"After many delivery orders I finally ate in the Sugar & Spice restaurant. Place was very busy but there were a few tables open inside. I had their chicken pad thai which was very good. The staff was very attentive and food came out pretty quickly despite how busy they were. While they do a good job with takeout orders it's always nice to be able to eat on site if you happen to be in the area."
"Great little Thai restaurant offering a wide variety of authentic Thai dishes. I ordered the Ba Mee Moo Dang ($13), which had egg noodles, BBQ red pork, crispy pork belly, pork & shrimp wontons, and some other ingredients as well. This was a delicious bowl with different flavors and textures within it. It also came with a bowl of chicken broth on the side. The fried gyozas ($7) were nice and crispy on the outside and tasty as well. The pink guava juice ($3) was just from a little bottle and had a slightly strange taste, so that was just so-so in my opinion. The place is pretty small / cute, with colorful decor to give it a bright feel. The staff are pretty friendly and the service speed is decent. We were able to just walk in and grab a table on a weekend night (granted it was a bit rainy).Overall, Dakzen is a very solid choice for Thai food in the Davis Square area. While it was not quite 5 star quality, it gets a solid 4 stars from me."
"Great Thai food - I had to exercise some serious restraint to not finish my green curry because I wanted a portion for leftovers for the next day. The inside is not very big so if you don't want to wait for a table, suggest coming during the early hours. We tried the corn cake as an appetizer. It was pretty good, though the individual corn nuggets got stuck in my back molars. Loved the spicy peanut dipping sauce that came with it. My green curry was seriously one of the best iterations of the dish I've had in a while. Good coconut flavor, packed with veggies (eggplant, string bean, carrot, zucchini), and the tofu I ordered as a protein soaked up so much of the flavor. They offer lunch/dinner portions for the curries. I picked mild for spiciness because I'm a total wimp and it was still pretty spicy for me (so just know their "regular" may actually be quite a kick). The pepper signs on the menu are pretty accurate. I also can't pass up homemade ice creams, especially with black sesame as an option. It nailed the black sesame flavor (i.e., not too sweet) but the texture was a bit too icy and hard to spoon. Next time, I may skip the ice creams and save the stomach room for more of the appetizers/entrees. Next time: the tom yum noodle soup, the crab fried rice. Parking: street options available."
"Highly recommend! Was looking for a restaurant near the hotel we were staying at for a quick dinner before meeting with friends. Read some old reviews about how they are skimpy on the portions but we were so surprised by the generous portion of our dinner.Taste is amazing. The bf had the beef pad see ew and declared it the best version he had ever had. We even returned for lunch the day before heading to the airport. I had the yellow curry tofu and loved it. The dish was creamy with thick coconut curry with tons of vegetables and tofu. It is also not overtly sweet unlike some Thai restaurants' rendition of the classic. For our last lunch in Boston, I had the drunken noodle. I must say that was a strange. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't drunken noodle. The taste is not quite there. In any case, place is an absolute gem. Service is courteous. Will be back when we return to Boston.P/S: Parking is tough in the area. You are better off walking like we did or take the T"
"This place has some of the best Thai food in the Fenway neighborhood. They have a good broad menu, and they are open to small tweaks if desired. The food comes out hot and quick, so is great for takeout."
"Omg the food was as good as I remembered from several years ago and this is still tbe best Thai food I've ever had in the states!!Must-have:Thai teaCrying rib eyeRoti bread with green curryPanang short ribs Amazing food. Everyone was quiet eating because it's so delicious"
"I was referred here by someone at Salon Monet after expressing my desire for a good Thai meal. The local is solid - I'm told the area is called Back Bay. So many shops, people watching, buzzing vibe, and great walk score. This place is popular with a diverse array of customers. And lots of solo eaters which felt very comfortable as a solo eater myself. I chose one of their lunch specials - Spicy Tofu - with spring rolls. I don't need to ask for additional chili here - the flavoring was perfect for me. The serving was perfect size for me, didn't leave me wanting or stuffed. Prices are reasonable as well. I really enjoyed this dining experience - one of my best in Boston."
"I ordered drunken noodles for delivery and one thing I appreciated so much was that it included not only a spring roll but also crab Rangoon! Typically I am left wishing I could replace the spring roll with a crab Rangoon (which most places do not do), but here I did not have that struggle. I also enjoyed how the food was still hot when it arrived. The noodles were consistent throughout. There have been times where l've ordered drunken noodles from other places and some parts are white since the sauce did not reach them. The texture was perfect; soft (like rice cakes) but not falling apart. The taste was really good, and it was not too spicy so you were able to capture all the different flavors including basil leaves, protein, and veggies. And speaking of veggies, they all tasted fresh and there was a good amount of them. The shrimp was a good size and cooked well, and the chicken was thinly sliced but not dry. The spring roll was crispy and the filling was tasty. The crab Rangoon was a bit different than traditional crab rangoons in that the filling had a curry hint to it and it was yellow-ish rather than white."
"*NOTE* There's a small parking lot on your right when you pass this restaurant!Came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. This place is fairly small establishment but has a huge menu selection (cuisine from Japan, Thailand and Korea!).I got the beef Pad See You and it was absolutely tasty especially for the price! Many restaurants I've been to charge $2+ for what I got so I was extremely impressed for the high quality and taste of the meal.Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal and our waitress was quick and prompt with drink refills. This place can easily be passed by if you're not looking for it but if you want some high quality Asian cuisine you can't go wrong with this place if you're in the area!"

Everyone needs to come here! The staff was extremely accommodating and ensured that my khao soi would be made with tofu. Loved the khao soi and honestly the portions are bigger than almost every Thai place I've been to in Boston. It's such a cute place, right near BUs campus.

Met hubby's cousin her so was a fail on pictures, but had to write a review for the food. It was quite delicious and reasonably priced. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. When we got there it wasn't very busy l, but by the time we left it was hoping. They were getting ready for the rush, lol. The restaurant is decently sized with nice decor accents.

Wow! Talk about a hidden gem.5 stars are easily deserved. We got the bubble tea which tastes strongly of coconut, and three dishes including the fresh rolls. Each bite was excellent. It was much lighter and fresher tasting than traditional non-vegan spots. I loved it.Service is fast and personable. I went with someone gluten free and they knew exactly what menu items she could have, there were an abundance.Ambience is that of a normal restaurant which pretty decent views, you just have to walk up the stairs! Makes it cooler imo.I cannot wait to be back.

They have such an extensive menu featuring Thai dishes from different regions in Thailand and I am for sure coming back to try their other dishes! We got the Tom Yum Sukhothai which is different from the regular Tom yum but it was good with a mix of spicy and sweet. The crispy pork belly was amazing and we enjoyed the Pad Mee Korat. The portions are generous. However, the dishes do come on a heavier side where it's saltier/ sweeter than I personally would like. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings. It's quite busy during dinner hours but they were speedy in serving our food. Wait time was around 10 minutes for two on a Tuesday evening around 7pm. Staff were friendly and attentive!Food: 8.5/10Experience:8/10Service: 8/10 Value: 8.5/10

Having had a chance to give them a try in person I have to up my rating. The fresh Pad-See-Ew I was served was great and not mushy as the one from the delivery orders. I came for an early dinner and service was quick and attentive.

What a great find! Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, Cha Yen Thai Cookery was a nice surprise! Great Service and Hospitality; Great (authentic) Food! Highly recommended!Note that this is a rather small restaurant. We were shocked that my party got the last table for 3 on a late Tuesday evening! We didn't expect it to be so busy at 8pm. They also do a bustling takeout service! On this evening, the 3 of us each chose an entree each and dined family style:- Roti ($6.50): a large roti was cut into 8 pcs, and served with a chicken peanut sauce. This was a very good dish; just wish there were a tad bit more chicken peanut sauce though.- Larb Salad w.Pork ($9.75): the portion size was huge and the Larb was tasty! - Green Curry w.Chicken ($16): this dish came with a bowl of jasmine rice. This was a good dish but I wish the chicken wasn't all white meat. The chicken was a little overcooked and hard. I think dark meat would have been more tender and moist. However, the green curry was very good.- Short Ribs Curry ($19): this dish came with a bowl of jasmine rice. Hands down, this was the best dish of the night. GET THIS!!! It was so unusual to see Short Ribs in a Thai Restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! There were 4 large pcs of short ribs, which were very tender. Great flavor and just delicious. A Must Have Dish!If I'm ever back in the neighborhood, I look forward to a return visit! What a hidden gem!

Ordered for delivery from here and the short story is...really, really good pad thai. Presentation was also quite unique. I definitely will go out of my way to pay this place a visit.ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: N/AOrdered delivery.SERVICE: 10/10Smooth delivery and everything was packaged beautifully. Cohesive logos, packaging, every little detail was in place. The pad thai was in an interesting box with all the components at the top.FOOD: 9/10 (I know the math doesn't add up but I weighted the pad thai much more heavily)Pad Thai - 10/10 - First thing is first. Who the HELL packs pad thai into an ice cream container?! I guess Laughing Monk does. More like MAD MONK. But it works. It was beautifully package and beyond the presentation, the pad thai was simply...delicious. Perfection. There was not a single thing out of place with this chicken pad thai. The BEST pad thai in Boston. The flavors were all correct, not too sweet, not too spicy, not too sour and not too salty. Get it.Chicken Satay - 5/10 - This was kind of disappointing. Not really flavorful and the sauce that came with it could not help it much either. VALUE: 9/10PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 10/10I will try and come here in person.TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: Come and eat the best pad thai in Boston.OVERALL: 9.5/10

I think this spot is one of the most underrated Boston restaurants. I got the pad kra pao which was phenomenal. The pork was super crispy and peppers added a nice touch of sweetness. If you don't have the best spice tolerance like me, you should ask to modify the spice levels for this dish.

"I can't count the number of times I've been here, the only thing I remember is how amazing all of the food is. I could pick items off the menu with a blindfold and I'm confident that I would enjoy each of the dishes. The seasonal salad is always refreshing and a great way to kick off the meal. The fried chicken is always crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The drinks here are amazing. Their cocktails aren't too strong and the Cafe Thai is one of my favorites. I highly recommend making a reservation for a date or a small group."
"Despite eating a full breakfast, then eating after breakfast ice cream, I was told this was the best Thai restaurant in Boston so I made sure to try Kala Thai out. It's easy to miss, so make sure to google maps this place. It's a very small restaurant, kitchen is open concept so it's a modern hole in the wall. The lunch menu was very affordable and expansive. There's a little bit of everything on it. I ordered the Garlic Bok Choy and my friend ordered the Pineapple Curry. Both came with white rice. You can upgrade to brown rice for an extra charge. I absolutely loved how the veggies weren't cooked to mush and that my entree came on a banana leaf. Both were beautifully presented dishes and full of flavor. I'm a huge fan of the fried tofu so already that was a win in my books.Garlic Bok Choy - think fried garlic tossed amongst simple veggies and the star is the bok choy. Aromatic, bold, oily stir fry in the best way.Pineapple Curry - fresh, bright, and tastes like it was cooking for hours with pineapple simmering at the last minute. We beat the crowd and there weren't too many other tables at the time. But I'm told that this place fills up all the time, so don't be surprised."
"Soup Shack, located on Centre Street in Jamaica Plains, specializes in made-to-order Vietnamese pho, Korean ramen, and Thai noodle soups, and Japanese-inspired rice bowls. The ambiance is very casual with countertop seating facing the front window and the open kitchen (.. a consideration if you don't want to smell like cooked meats for the rest of your day ..) as well as a few tables and chairs outside. It's a small dining area with 12-15 seats, so you may have to wait for an open seat, but the staff does a good job serving the food quickly and turning over the seats. The service was very good with staff that's very personable and knowledgeable about the menu.Craving a hot soup on a slightly chilly and dreary Saturday, I opted for the special Mala Pho ($16), a generous portion of hot soup comprised of soft rice noodles topped with sliced steak, beef balls, flank steak, bok choy, cherry tomatoes, onion, scallions, and cilantro, served over a spicy mala beef broth. YUM! Loved it. My dining companion tried the Fried Tofu rice bowl ($14), with lightly battered soft Japanese tofu, cucumber, bok choy, and scallions, served over Japanese steamed rice, which she really enjoyed as well.We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!PRO TIP #1: Soup Shack doesn't have its own parking lot, but there's plenty of on-street parking on Centre Street."
"My friend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The menu is huge and everything looked delicious, so it was difficult to decide what to order. I finally settled on the duck noodle soup with vermicelli noodles. Is there anything more perfect than a big bowl of noodle soup in the fall or winter? No, no there is not. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back and order another bowl.Affordable price, cute interior, and great food. I'd definitely recommend!"
"I LOVE Nud pob. This Thai restaurant is conveniently located in BU central. It is family owned and all of the employees are really nice. Most of their customers are BU students. There's ample amount of seating, but they also offer take out. My go to is their tofu pad see ew. Portions are always generous, and costs about $12.50. They've got a ton of options on their menu, from curry dishes to squid prik pow. Definitely get their thai iced tea too - it's sooo good. Street parking is convenient right outside the restaurant. Overall rating: 10/10"
"Years ago I used to work in Boston, and Montier was some of the best Thai. Great location, just outside of Chinatown, near the theater district. Was in town for a show, and stopped here for a pre-show dinner. I was amazed at how affordable the prices were, and no skimflation either! I ordered the classic Pad Thai, my wife ordered a salad with minced chicken & lime she saw on their online menu. Both were delicious and plentiful."
"How do I give it 10 stars? I am a native Bostonian and cannot believe I just learned of this place! It is not too far from Fenway but nestled in a residential neighborhood so in essence, to me, this is a HIDDEN GEM. This is a family owned Thai restaurant with no frills, just simply focusing on preparing a delicious meal for their customers. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly and humble. The curry puff was the best I've ever had. The other appetizers were amazing. I had Khao Soi for the first time and truly enjoyed the flavors. I'm not someone who normally consumes spicy food but it worked well for this dish. Not too spicy but enough to for a little kick. I honestly cannot wait to come back here. Thinking about it makes my mouth watery."
"First time in for me today. We tried to stop in another day but they were closed for vacation last time. Glad we got to catch them open this time around!First their menu is definitely got a lot going on. Sushi ramen Thai, kind of overwhelming at first.Pricing is on the higher side for rolls and dishes imo. The chicken skins. : fried well, crispy, but fried unseasoned. Asked server for some dipping sauce and salt and it was good; server quickly got me something for it. Probably wouldn't start with that again next time. The Hokkaido don was what the lady ordered she said it was fresh and yummy comparable to Tora's bowls. They ran out of sea urchin and let us sub it out for otoro. That was cool of them.I got the spicy basil with crispy chicken. Flavor was good! As i was expecting for the dish. The portion of chicken was a whole cutlet cut up into strips, a lot of onions, peppers and basil leaves.Rice doesn't come with the dish so added a side of white rice. I would note, the sauce was super watery, I'm used to having a bit thicker of a sauce for this type of dish but again, flavor was good! The Thai ice tea came in a nice glass, definitely on the creamy side flavor wise, a bit watered down but enjoyable nonetheless!Probably will be back to try some other dishes. The space is open, plenty of seating!"
"The prices here are quite reasonable even after inflation. I placed a to-go order for chicken satay ($8.95), seafood madness ($16.95), and spicy pad thai ($12.45). I like how you can customize your preferred spicy levels for the entree dishes. My favorite was the chicken satay which was quite a big portion for its price. The chicken was not dry at all and was full of delicious lemongrass flavor. It came with two sauces which were both on the sweet side. The seafood madness was packed with seafood and came in a thick sauce. There were a lot of veggies like onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers. The sauce had a lot of umami flavor but I wouldn't have minded if it had even more seasoning.I thought the pad thai was decent. The portion was good and could be split into two meals if you are not hungry. I wish the scallions were more crunchy though-- they were on the mushy side.Overall, this is a solid spot to satisfy a craving for Thai food that won't break your wallet."
"Khao Soi: Delicious. Ingredients fresh and well-balanced. The chicken leg was really good with a nice, browned exterior and tender on the inside. Both the regular noodles and crispy noodles were tasty. The curry was delicious, with a bit of a kick to it.The Bangkok Ribs: nice glaze on the outside. I really like the marinade. It's so good. The ribs were really tender and fell easily off the bone. I wouldn't say prices are cheap, but they are reasonable. Portion sizes are good."
"Sometimes the only option for delivery is a third party service such as GrubHub or UberEats or DoorDash. Well, that's not the case for Lemon Thai. They offer to take both delivery or pickup orders on their website (http://www.lemonthai.com/) through Toast. The delivery fee seemed reasonable at first glance, unlike the inflated prices deliver apps often offer on top of their delivery fees, but I was placing an order for a friend and she was happy to pick it up as she made her way home.Order placing was simple enough. Prices for their carb dishes were quite reasonable summer 2022 at $12-13. I like Thai, and it is a cuisine that works well for their dairy constraint. And if you set up an account with Toast, you can earn points. (I hope those don't expire...)Can't judge the food myself though since I didn't get to eat it. But they live in the neighborhood, and didn't balk at my consideration of Lemon Thai for this meal, so that says something.Steamed Thai Dumplings (7 pieces) $8Crispy Chicken Pad Thai $13Pork Pad See You $12"
"I love the pad Thai, drunken noodles, and curry dishes at this restaurant! They are always friendly, fast, accommodating, and may go to lunch or dinner, fast food place. The delivery has always been perfect. Sometimes I even come here to dine in for a show at the chevalier theater. They sell wine and beer too!"
"I stopped here on a weekday for lunch with a few of my colleagues. There were a few parties dining in and some take out, but overall not very busy. We made a reservation in advance since we were a large party but otherwise weekday lunch reservation wouldn't be necessary. Service was attentive and food came out relatively quickly once we ordered. I ordered the pad see you with beef since previous reviews of the dish were positive. Unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. The beef was tough and some pieces were crunchy.. the noodles had a little too much sauce making it sweeter than I would like. They also use regular broccoli instead of the Chinese broccoli which I thought was interesting. I did try a vegetable crispy roll and it was decent. Overall it was fine for some Thai food in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here."
"I had the seafood kamakazi. I had it mild because I was not sure what medium ( two peppers) meant. It had shrimp, scallops, calamari with mixed vegetables. It came with a dish of white rice. It filled me up. They had another version with chili sauce which I would like to tryAlthough the interior could use an update, I still felt I was Thailand. The Thai music might have had something to do with it.The service was about 5 minutes. It was like I just placed my order. Speedy Gonzalos.Overall I was satisfied and would return."
"Good local option for some Vietnamese takeout food. I ordered the Com Ga rice plate and the food was very good. The meat was well cooked and flavorful and there was plenty of rice and a side salad as part of the meal. Good deal for a simple weekday dinner."
"I absolutely love Giggling Rice Thai To Go. It's easy, reliable, and always delicious. I truly believe they have some of the best Pad See-U. A lot of Thai places use too much soy sauce so the noodles are drenched in salt. This place strikes the perfect balance. (I also like the range of vegetables -- broccoli, carrots, and zucchini!). When it's a slow day, you can order in person and have your food ready within five minutes. But when it's a rainy day around dinner, expect 10+ drivers waiting to pick up takeout orders. This is a popular restaurant even if the inside looks casual and occasionally empty. Finally, this is a small note, but if you're eco-conscious, the restaurant gives you a plastic takeout box even to dine in."
"Super tasty food - only wish I could have tried more from the appetizers section. They run a nice HH special from 5-7 on weekdays where you can order three of the per piece items (like the chicken/tofu betel leaf and oysters) and get a fourth piece for free. Our table got four of the mains. I went with the Thai red curry of duck but I'm not sure I would order it again. The duck came with some fatty pieces of skin still attached - I'm used to eating roast duck when the skin gets nice and crispy so the texture of boiled duck skin wasn't my favorite. The addition of lychee too didn't really do much in terms of taste and I knew to look for it in the curry, otherwise I would've mistaken it for another piece of duck skin. After eating a bite of the Singaporean chili beef, I should have gone with that one instead. The beef was chopped into cubes, extremely tender, and I loved the balance of flavors with the ginger, chili, and scallion. You could taste the charring from the wok. Also tried some of the chicken korma as well as the pork hock (which came in a massive portion). Rice doesn't come with each dish, which took me aback a little. They scoop it out for you but they do offer free refills. Parking wasn't too bad to find - there are metered parking spots along the street that go until 8pm. There's also the Lesley University parking lot (I think it's a fixed fee) as well as the bigger Star Market lot."
"I came here with a friend for lunch and there was a lunch menu lunch is around $16 depending on what you order. I had a tamarind duck which was delicious and tried the mango curry which was meh since the chicken was chewy,, and the mango sticky rice is divine! But of course I came at the tail end of lunch. They have a way of telling you to go after they had to hurry my sticky rice because the kitchen was closing at 3 PM but as we were about to pay the bill, I was in deep conversation, I asked the server if we could stay a little longer even though we're not gonna order anything, but she didn't really answer the question directly. She said that all the kitchen is closing...fine! And the lights were shut down. Upon leaving the restaurant, my friend and I saw one of the cooks lie down with his smart phone watching a movie on the waiting room front couch as if he was in his living room, barefoot and all. Oh well."
"The reviews on Yelp don't reflect this, but I actually prefer Noodle St to Nud Pob for their Pad See Ew, the one time I tried both (in the same week too lol). The noodles were not broken up or over cooked, the sauce was familiarly sweet and salty, there was a good amount of broccoli and tofu, and all in all was a good portion size. I did find a piece of chicken in my vegan noodle dish though, which was very sad to see but I am not allergic at least. It got very very busy right at 12:15, but we were still served pretty promptly and service was good. All of my friends also enjoyed their meals, though the fried rice was noted as very spicy. All in all will definitely be back, though hopefully there is no more food cross contamination."
"Brown Rice has solid food. They used to have two locations close to each other which didn't make any sense to me. The current location is in a strip mall near Salter College. I come here pretty often as the Fiery Pad Thai is simply amazing and incredibly spicy. The service here is always great and the ambiance is quite nice as well. It's not a cheap place by any means, but it's not break the bank either. They have a website where you can order food to go and it's prepared quickly."
"Brookline truly has some really good restaurants, Rod D being one of them! There are a bunch of Thai spots around in the area but Rod D is sooo super worth giving a try. Tonight, we were craving Thai food and decided to head on over to the area. There is plenty of meter street parking available, which was such a relief because having to drive around in circles to find parking is such a hassle sometimes. We started off with Thai iced teas, per usual, for entrees we went for the Indonesian fried rice with crispy chicken & Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles with seafood, & ordered mango with sticky rice for dessert!Thai Iced Teas: 4/5. Good flavor, a little on the watery side. I prefer a thicker, more creamy thai tea but still good!Indonesian Fried Rice w/ Crispy Chicken: 5/5. Perfectly seasoned & had a nice kick! The spiciness isn't bad at all. It was just the right amount that makes you wanna keep eating!! I have never had Indonesian fried rice before but I surely did enjoy it. Pad Kee Mao w/ seafood: 5/5. Man, I love a good drunken noodle! The noodles were stir fried well. Very flavorful & couldn't stop eating it haha. I also loved that they gave a lot of vegetables; I am a huge fan of veggies ;)Mango w/ Sticky Rice: 5/5. THE MANGOS WERE PERFECTLY RIPE! Oh my goodness. When this dish was served to us, I could not stop looking at the color of the mangoes. You know when you just know it's gonna be a good tasting, sweet mango? Sure enough, I was right. Literally perfect! I could have like 5 more. Paired with the sticky rice, it was chef's kiss! I liked how they kept their mango with sticky rice simple and didn't drown the mangoes and sticky rice with coconut cream. Sometimes, I find that coconut cream can be a bit overwhelming so this was quite refreshing. ** I was blown away by the FAST, EFFICIENT service here! Oh my lanta. Our server took our order, and not even five minutes had passed, our entrees were served to us. It was also super busy and packed here today but I can definitely see why they are as busy as they are; quick service & absolutely delicious Thai food. AND they don't skimp on the protein either!! We didn't expect for the Indonesian fried rice (added crispy chicken) to have both the crispy chicken and regular chicken. The portion sizes are pretty hefty too so I'd say, definitely worth the price. We both still had about a 1/4 of our noodles & rice left. Would totally come back again !!"
"Delicious Thai food that's authentic and cooked to order. All of our dishes were delicious and I really enjoyed the balance of sweet, savory, sour and spicy. Chicken Satay-tender well seasoned grilled chicken served with a peanut sauceGreen Papaya Salad-fresh and crunchy salad with a tangy dressing Ga Prow Chicken-spicy chopped chicken. So good and perfect with rice Panang Curry Beef-intensely flavored curry with eggplant, mushrooms, crisp tender green beans and the most tender sliced beef. My favorite dish!Drunken Noodle Beef-delicious stir fried wide noodles with egg, tender beef. Another dish that was full of flavor. This was my son's favorite and he could have eaten the entire plate! This Thai restaurant is great! It's a small little restaurant with friendly staff and there's plenty of parking."
"Just off restaurant laden and bustling Shrewsbury street is this unassuming Thai food restaurant. Most of the Yelp reviews I read leaned toward the positive, so we decided to give it a try for lunch on this unseasonably cold Saturday afternoon. We were the second patrons of the day and seated immediately. The menus were already on the table and the options are fairly extensive. We ordered:- Scallion Pancakes $8.95- Chicken Dumplings (fried) $8.95- Honey Duck Meal $25.95Our food arrived about 20 minutes after our order, we were surprised the appetizers took that long, as in many Asian restaurants, these arrive much faster. The Chicken Dumplings were the best dish, hot, nicely fried and tasty. The Scallion Pancakes were dry, bland and a little overcooked. The Honey Duck was disappointing, it was also dry, there was very little sauce to help it, and the carrots were cool. It wasn't a well executed dish.We would be unlikely to return here, as there are a plethora of other restaurants to choose from in this area. Overall this visit warranted 2.5 stars, rounded up to three stars for the polite and reasonably prompt service."
