The best tuna salad sandwich I ever had. Came for the clam chowder (which was phenomenal like absolutely incredible), but I'm still thinking about the tuna salad sandwich. Maybe I've never had good tuna salad but wow loved this place. Unfortunately I ate the entire sandwich without taking a picture. I would recommend coming around opening because we tried to come last night (Saturday) and there was a 2.5 hour wait! Came today at 11:25 am and got a table right away.

Love this placeFood was great- clam chowder was a highlight. Every bits and bites were so chewy and the soup was deep in flavor. Best clam chowder in Boston.Staffs were friendly and casual. Place was lovely with small balcony outdoor space for 2 parties.Seafood was pretty good too- I really enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese. It was cheesy with good amount of lobster inside.

Met up with some friends visiting from out of town who wanted some clam chowda. The chowda here is good but unique- contains dill. We also enjoyed warm and cold lobster rolls. Good serving size. Large chunks of lobster. There is a very small patio- maybe 4 takes and we were lucky to find a table outside. Very busy inside so we appreciated the quiet outside space to catch up.

We were famished after walking the Freedom Trail most of the day but despite the hour 15 wait we were committed to give this place a try. The food was great! I had the shrimp and fries. The shrimp were well cooked and flavorful. I also had a rum punch cocktail that was a tad bit too alcohol-y which I recognize not many people would share my criticism. By the time we sat the sun was setting so we didn't get to enjoy the water views much but I'm sure they are beautiful.

We came on a weekday for lunch and didn't have to wait. By 1pm, the place was filled. There is seating outdoors as well overlooking the water. I had high hopes due to the ratings that this was one of the best lobster rolls in Boston. But there's a lot lacking. My lobster roll was advertised to have Mayo in a buttered bun but I couldn't taste either. It didn't taste seasoned either. The only good things were the large pieces of lobster and it was cooked well. But if it doesn't have any taste, those components don't really matter. Same thing with the fish fry. The batter and fish texture were great, but couldn't taste any salt or seasoning. They offer tarter sauce but it didn't add much. Skip the Caesar salad. Bread pudding not badThe one thing that stood out for us is the clam chowder. One of the best I've tried and I would come back for that. Service is also friendly and they check on you often

Staying at the Marriott Long Wharf and wanted to experience some local vibes. Had the half tuna salad sandwich and cup of chowder for lunch. Chowder was their dill speciality and did not disappoint! Seating areas in the front (for lots of people watching), inside (when it's cold!) and 3 small tables on the back deck by the water. Bar is very friendly and can be populated with locals recalling lots of stories :-) Table side payment taken on tablets. Digital jukebox by the bar/entrance when you want some extra fun. Beware of the lingering fruit flys by the bar/sink in the warmer days when the windows are open. BTW, At night last call is usually around 1:45am :-)

This area is popping on the weekends! Parking is difficult so we ended up just paying for the lot ($18+) after circling around the block a few times. We arrived fairly late at night around 9:30pm and were seated right away. Service was good and food came out quickly. We ordered Clam Chowder based on reviews and it did not disappoint! We also ordered the New England Lobster Roll, which I thought was overpriced but good enough. The fries were nice because they were crispy and thick. After eating we walked around North End to explore the area. Definitely worth checking out if you are a tourist here!

The best clam chowder in Boston! Yes, it's that good and there's something about enjoying it in an overflowing mug that makes it even more special. Don't write off this gem as a tourist restaurant, it's so good! Vibes, food and drink selection are all great plus their servers are so friendly and won't rush you. A place to truly eat and drink like a local!
