I just had a calzone from Andalus and it was very good. I usually avoid takeout because, frankly, most takeout food is disappointing, generates a lot of plastic trash, and is often rough on my stomach. But in this case I'm happy about the choice. The vegetables calzone had a homemade feel, plus a special flavor. Service was pleasant and efficient. I'd say Andalus punches above its weight compared to more visible places on Beacon St and other busier streets, considering its location which is more hidden. At the next opportunity I'll try other calzones, and perhaps inquire about their Middle Eastern recipes and the reason for the name.

Andalus is a solid spot for take out or a very casual dine in (I'd recommend taking out though). The pizza is not fancy, it's not artisanal, it's not trying to be anything except, good, solid take-out pizza. And I respect that. I'm not saying that you should go out of your way to get Andalus pizza. But if you're in the area, and want a pie, this should be your spot. The last thing I'll say is that I came here on a Friday night once and knew that I was driving to Vermont early the next morning. There was a major snowstorm, and my car was parked around the corner, so I asked the dude working if I could borrow a shovel. He was like: "Absolutely my friend!". He even asked if I needed any help shoveling out my car. What a guy. That's pretty much the best you can hope for from a neighborhood pizza joint. Andalus, I salute you.

This is my favorite restaurant in Brighton. Their flatbread pizzas, popcorn chicken and frozen yogurt are a must try. I eat here atleast 2 times a week and never get bored. And the folks at Andalus are the best. They are genuinely nice and kind.I love love this spot :)

I haven't had their food in forever but their chocolate chip cookies are to die for. Some of the best I've ever had.

Got a steak and cheese sub. Tough as rubber. Pizza sucks. Anybody who thinks that is good pizza has no idea what pizza is.

Good food, lots of options. Soft serve ice cream is good so is pizza, chicken tenders, fries, mozzarella sticks, and more. More of a take out place but there's a few tables if you want to eat there. Nice staff, the same guys are always there and work very hard!

Andalus food is ok, IT USED TO BE MUCH BETTER. You know how that happens when a place starts out great, but then begins to really lack? Besides the food quality going down the tubes, the main thing "lacking" here is their service. THEY ARE RUDE. All of them. Rude rude rude. My rating says 3, but only so that yelp might post it. My rating for the food is now 2. My rating of their people is ZERO. Did I mention that they are wicked RUDE?? I don't understand how they can feel free to act so arrogant.Rude, condescending, angry, arrogant, snippy, mean. But why?? This is only food. Do not ever try to call them on the phone with any question at all unless you want to have your head bit off. And, they've discontinued their frozen yogurt, so now we have no reason to ever order from or go to Andalus again. It's a shame because now they are just a waste of space in Brighton.

The quality of food has gone way downhill, and it's still $25-$30 for a sandwich, fries, and a drink. The fries they used to have, and still advertise are not the same, which should probably be illegal. They used to be golden and crispy, now they're bland and white like grocery store frozen fries. Get it together or just give up and close the place down.

I've lived in the area for awhile, and on occasion will stop in to Andalus in the evening for a frozen yogurt. No complaints there at all.The pizza however is the grossest thing I've ever encountered. It's not edible. For starters it was the furthest thing from a Buffalo Chicken pizza you could imagine. It was a cheese pizza with some pre-cooked over-cooked chicken tossed on top with some hot sauce. The toppings immediately slid off the pizza, making it impossible to pick up.$20 for a small 12" pizza and a bottled juice.I feel sick from the one slice that I ate. Coming here was a mistake that I will not be making again - even for frozen yogurt. Great way to lose a customer.Pizza is in your name - How do you mess it up that badly?
