"Came here for dinner with a couple friends and really really enjoyed the food and ambience. The place was hopping and very noisy by the bar, but we were seated on the far wall and could hear each other fine. We ordered fattoush salad (amazing - asked for more lemon dressing, which took it over the top delicious), brussels (very good), scallops with elote risotto (super delish), and chilean sea bass with gnocchi - mmmmm. Portions were generous enough (not huge, but definitely not tiny) that 3 of us were totally satisfied. Waiter was also very fun and nice. So overall had a great experience and highly recommend!"
"One of my favorite small neighborhood pub when am in the west beacon hill/Charles street area. Walk in the commons, say hi to the ducklings and then walk up here for a few beer. Big no to cheers though. Nice quaint place where there's always a place to sit down. Love the decor and almost has a divey feel to it. Haven't tried the food yet although doesn't look like a place where you'll go to grab a bite."

Visit Restaurant Page"I ordered food from Larry J's BBQ Cafe via an app, but then I realized it would be a while till I could sit down to eat, so I called in to see if they'd be willing to pack the fries separately in my Hillbilly Nacho appetizer (Fries, chili, pulled pork, cheese, jalapeno peppers) Half $7.95 before I headed on over.Larry J's is located in a building plopped in the middle of an urban greenspace with tables and chairs strewn about before it. You order at the window out front, and await your order by the window to the side where you may also claim some paper napkins and sauce packets if you wish. The fellow who took my call let me know in a reasonable manner that this request of mine took more time than they can normally extend to each order, but that it was no trouble this time. I appreciated that.Turns out they packed everything separately - the fries (as expected), the pulled pork in a pile, the chili in a soup cup, and the cheese in a sauce cup. Wow. I was imagining the pile of toppings layered up in a dish, with the fries separate. The pulled pork by itself was a bit dry in spots, but mingled with the chili, it was perfect. This was a nice mess of a dish once put back together.Their sweet potato fries $2.95 small from their Teasers menu was a goodly portion, all soft (no crisp) but full of nice sweet potato flavor."
"Our party of five wanted to dine outside, and we were promptly seated on their large deck. The Marina Restaurant has a great deck, on the ocean with umbrellas. Most of our party was shaded during our lunch, two diners had difficulty remaining out of the full sun. On the weekends, they defer to their dinner menu, so portions are large, and the prices are set accordingly. We selected:* Baked Haddock* Bacon Cheeseburger * Bowl of Chowder* Eggplant Rolitini* Seared TunaThe haddock was described as tasty, the eggplant dense and heavy, the cheeseburger and chowder good, and the seared tuna was good, though slightly sinewy and difficult to cut. The tuna was prepared as two large pieces (it was a large portion), I'd have preferred it if it was cut into a series of thinner slices. Also at $38, it compared unfavorably to Hemenway's in Providence, which has a much better dish and is $36. Further, The Marina Restaurant Tuna dish included a very modest seaweed salad, and a more substantial traditional salad on the plate. As we were already getting a salad with our entrees (more on that in a minute), I would have preferred a more substantial seaweed salad. Our entrées included a salad served in a large bowl for the table. It was a traditional garden salad, mainly lettuce and tomato with some onion, with an Italian style house dressing. It was good, standard fare. There was plenty for everyone, nobody had seconds.Overall, I'd describe the food as fairly good, the service very good and the deskside venue very nice. The bill total (no alcohol) was $143 with tip, and an overall four-star dining experience on this day."
"Not sure why I haven't reviewed this place before, it is a staple in my bar diet. Cool vibe, nice service and live music every single night. That last part is kind of insane to me because the place is pretty small and they manage to have full bands jamming in there. It's so tight you have to squeeze past the bassist to get to the bathroom. It's also got that interesting diversity of generations that you see at Cantab, people old and new Cambridge. The beer selection leaves a little to be desired, last time I was there the options were Stella, Guiness or IPAs, so basically nothing drinkable. The food is a bit overpriced for what it is, but it's not bad.I've also just had kind of fun times here in the past. I remember once we stayed a little late and rather than tell us we had to go, they just closed the curtains and let us hang out for longer. I know, after hours in Cambridge, heaven forbid!Generally just a good place to have a burger, a beer and a conversation and if the conversation is good enough, you get some live music in the bargain. A nice Cambridge institution, I feel."
"I'm giving Cappy's a 5 star rating! I've never eaten here BUT I get so many calls for this pizza place I am tempted to make the trip from Ohio just to check it out! I get a minimum of 5 calls every week. Most callers are pleasant and clearly hungry when they call. Some callers are annoyed but generally courteous which tells me that their call to Cappy's has some serious importance and I am standing in the way of the achievement of delicious satisfaction...With all of this said, I look forward to visiting my brother and stopping by to experience this gastro excellence..."
"We came here at 5pm. The place was pretty busy. Service was good. We got the Smokey Mango Mai Thai, Bee Stings wings, Hot Honey Roni Pizza, Wagyu Sliders, Buffalo Dip, Clery's Famous Steak Tips, and Southend Cheesesteak. All of the dishes were tasty. You can definitely tasty the quality in the ingredients. The Cheesesteak was made with a tasty shaved Ribeye in a toasted Panni. Steak Tips were cooked perfectly medium raw. Overall, one of the best bar food that I had so far"
"I'm not at all familiar with the Fenway area but stopped in here before my first Sox game. While it was busy and a little crowded, the bar line moved quickly, bartenders friendly and crowd was fun. The convenience of using the bar to enter/exit the park is very convenient."
"Menu is full of healthy, yet tasty options! NU Kitchen has a bunch of fresh smoothies, coffees, sandwiches, bowls and salads. But my favorite thing to get is the Acai bowl! Acai bowls here are legit and so good! I love how NU Kitchen is loaded with toppings so there is almost 1:1 ratio of topping to acai which never happens! I've tried the Oahu and Maui; both were good but I prefer the Oahu more. The cocoa nibs are bomb and plentiful. The acai is also creamy from the oat milk! Short rib torta was delicious. The short rib is super tender with great flavor, crunch from the light crunch of the bread, and slight heat from the peppers. The egg and avocado are a nice extra touch that goes together so well.Short Rib banh mi was an interesting take on banh mi, but quite pricey for the size and compared to a traditional banh mi. Prefer the torta more."
"Can't say enough great things about H&B!We stopped in for lunch while we were waiting to check into our Airbnb. The place was dead, so our server Nicole was extra attentive, but we were so appreciative that she could sit and chat with us and give us recommendations for later on. We ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pizza and WOWOWOW - so good! We also shared the Fish and Chips, which was tasty and fresh! For drinks, we got the #getskrewed and it was the most delicious peanut butter coffee drink I have ever had; and we finished up with the Cranberry Sauced, which was a lighter, fruity cocktail to cap us off.We ended up going back for some late night drinks a few days after and the place was packed!"
"What a pleasant surprise to stop in this bar on Saturday for a quick lunch! The place is pretty and clean, we had a great chat with the waiter and they seems ro be known for their burgers. We got the Tessie Burger and another build up on an iceberg with blue cheese. The meat was fresh and tasty, the iceberg with Tessie sauce was delicious and refreshing! The coleslaw was crunchy a not too sweet like others, i did enjoy it! Service was fast!will defined come back!"
"Glad to have found a spot that was open late and had much better pricing considering this fancy downtown Seaport location. It's a great spot for hanging out by the bar and watching the game.As for the service, our waiter was friendly and offered suggestions since we were a bit torn about what to order. I was here with my family and we were all over the place with the menu. One kiddo wanted a sandwich, the other wanted just appetizers. Hubby and I chose entrees.Appetizers:- meatballs came with garlic butter bread but the butter wasn't really melted. Meatballs were good with a pepper-y aftertaste. - lobster bisque was way too salty. Had a few loose pieces of lobster so that was nice to see. It was like a sherry cream base. All soups are one size.- Mac and cheese bites were served with ranch dipping sauce. This was good but needed a little more salt or cheese. It was not memorable. The beef short rib grilled cheese was really delicious. Totally recommend. Comes with fries and they were served in a little basket with ketchup on the side.Entrees: - rosemary steak tips as requested were medium rare. This was recommended by our waiter so we ordered it. The mashed potatoes it was served with was a nice heaping portion and totally butter heavy. Very much a comfort food item on a cold Winter night.- pan roasted seabass, as I know it's not a seafood restaurant, I just didn't want meat. Ordered the seabass, great portion and the string beans were perfectly cooked "al dente". Good crisp. And the wild rice (pilaf) with mushrooms it came with was a nice side accompaniment. Seabass was a bit dry but flavor was good. Next time we'll stick to bar food, that was consistent and probably what they are best at. Great location, a block from the waterfront."

We enjoyed our dinner here. My husband got the salmon, and it was grilled perfectly with crispy skin. He said he didn't care for the squash risotto that came with it though. I got the duck, that came with cherries, mushroom risotto and spinach. I really liked the dish! The service is nice, fast and friendly. We liked the dark rustic, casual atmosphere of this restaurant. Overall a great place to go for dinner.

This is basically set up as a food stand with outdoor seating. The food is fantastic and the service is great. If the weather is right, this is an ideal place to stop off for lunch. Enjoy it outside under the trees with the waterfront view

Normally, I rave about this place as they have never let me down. Their homemade bread came out borderline burnt. When we asked for the house salad the waitress informed us that she had to base it on what we order, which was a first. When the salad was brought out, the tomatoes were so so mushy that they were borderline rotten. We also ordered some steamers which usually were fantastic, so we were disappointed with this experience. They were so sandy it was impossible to eat. I still had gritty sensations in my teeth by the time we left the meal. We sent those back as it was inedible. Entrées themselves were OK. Definitely better on other nights. Based on how my last experience was, I am very hesitant on returning. I'm not sure who was in the kitchen on a Monday night but they left a sour taste in my mouth.

Love the vibes of this overlooked Cambridge bar. While it is located on Mass ave, the central street of Cambridge, this place is neglected because it is not close to any of the major squares. However, that just makes it a hidden gem. The atmosphere inside is dark and serious, with lots of dark wood and cool decor. However the staff is really outgoing, offering to make all sorts of special drinks that aren't even on their (already special and long) menu. There is also food and outdoor seating available. However the highlight is definitely the drinks, which are excellent, and the bar experience, which is so greatly enhanced by conversation with the wonderful bartenders.

This is good old fashioned American classicsThis place is one of the best places fo takeout in townMy personal favorite from Cappy's is the Steak Tip sub with bacon, pickles, barbecue and peppers and when they put that badboy on a toasted roll.. my goodness! The only thing you're missing is a solid salad or fries depending on how much you're looking to indulge. There is definitely more to their menu than sandwiches and subs but I can assure you this recommendation is the place to start and from there make sure to get wings, pizza and other sharable stuff for your super bowl parties and kickbacksBest in Hyde Park no doubt

Fun times and decent beers. This place had a cool atmosphere for the 3rd game of the Boston pacers Aries when the Boston won and it was cool to be a part of it and then me and my neighbors and her boyfriend went downstairs where it was a clubbby type vibe and we had a lot fun. THABKS!!!

Great pregame spot! Larger and less crowded than Bleacher Bar. Staff were incredibly friendly. Lots of drink of options for an affordable price. You can enter the ballpark / get your ticket scanned at the back door of the bar which was super helpful on a busy ALCS game day! Head down the alleyway at 110 Brookline Ave to find it.
Visit Restaurant Page"I will give Paddy's Public House in Newton, MA, a round-up five-start review from my four and 1/2-star experience. I was staying in the area and visiting my daughter, and I walked over here for a meal by myself. When I arrived, the bar and restaurant downstairs were packed, and the hostess nicely and smartly recommended I check out the upstairs when I mentioned I wanted to eat at the bar. The ambiance throughout was that of a typical Irish pub. The menu options were excellent, and there were several items I would like to try. I ordered the steak tips with mashed potatoes and squash, and they hit the spot. I also had a couple of IPAs as well. The beer and drink selections were solid. My bartender provided excellent service. Overall, this was a 100% positive experience, and I would be a regular if I lived in the area."
"Becca was awesome. It's at a great location plenty of parking for free. The Establishment itself is so beautiful, they have outdoor seating and a patio that has a fireplace. The boots are very comfy and super spacious. We went for my daughter's 18th birthday, the food was all right. I had the crusted haddock, there's this sauce that comes on it that I didn't particularly like. I didn't like the crust on the haddock as well so I barely ate it. My asparagus was good, and the mashed potatoes are delicious as well. I couldn't decide between the meatloaf and the haddock so I ended up getting a headache and the meatloaf to go. This is where I messed up I should have went with the meatloaf because it was so freaking good. I suggest that on the menu above anything else. I also tried the burger the salmon and the rotisserie chicken. I sampled a little bit of everybody's food and trust me the meatloaf is the best. Becca suggested this Sauvignon Blanc and it was really good so shout out to her"
"A pillar in Roxbury, Slade's was once owned by Bill Russell. Relishing soul food classics from fried fish to their gigantic fried chicken. Fried okra is a great option to get your meal started. DJ's on weekends too! I highly recommend this spot and it's rich in history!"
"I loved everything about Stephanie's from the food to the ambience to the service! Incredible all the wayFood: we ordered the cheesy corn bread for the table which was delicious. It came with maple butter which was absolutely delectable. For my main I ordered the mac and cheese lobster which was also amazing! Very heavy! I recommend splitting this with someone next time you are here. The lobster tasted so goodService: amazing and really kind waitress! She even helped split our checks down to dividing the price of shared items like the cheesy corn breadAmbience: this is right on Newbury with a beautiful view. Inside is big with loads of spacePrice: fair prices given quality and portion sizes!"
"I come here quite a bit with my family of vegans. I know a place is good when all three of my kids joyfully agree to go for dinner. I have had several items, but I think I have finally settled on my favorite, the Be You Burger. Usually, I am not a fan of the simulated meats that are out there, but the combo of caramelized onions, pickles, and BBQ mayo works well with the impossible meat and toasted brioche bun. The fries are really good to."
"Had an excellent dinner here this past week! We went on a rainy Saturday night and found it to be exceptionally busy with a long wait time. We found seats at the bar and were able to order drinks and food. Tried the burger and tenders which were great and very tasty as well as a cornbread skillet which was very good. Drinks were good as well. For some reason it took 30 minutes to get the check, but overall it was a good meal if a little bit uncomfortable. I would definitely go back at a slower time since they don't do reservations. Tough at times for a sit down dinner, but great spot for a drink and some solid food."
"Solid food but I wanted to give a shout-out to a fantastic trivia experience! Trivia can be a toss-up. I've gone to others in the Boston area where the questions were impossible (to the point where not a single person got it right) or the sound was deafeningly loud (to the point where my watch registered a dangerously high decibel level and was basically telling me to GTFO to save my hearing). The trivia set-up at Town Tavern was perfect. Three solid rounds of questions, different categories to keep things exciting, a great trivia master. For people with sensitive ears, the noise volume was perfect. I could hear everyone at my table. It was the most fun I had at trivia to date. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with the bar food. Our table split an order of onion rings (really enjoyed the sauce) and my chicken Caesar did the job of making me feel healthy-ish. Which of course I then undid by basically inhaling a slice of the basque cheesecake on my own. Loved the wedge fries here, I may get just an order of that for myself next time. Prices were pretty affordable. For a group of eight that ordered drinks and desserts, the total came out to about $183 before tax/tip."
"We were staying at the hotel next door and came over to get a late dinner. The place was busy, but there is lots of seating and we were seated within a few minutes. The interior and ambiance were great, with a large bar area and huge table area. The open kitchen is always fun to watch. Our server was attentive and everything came out in good time. We had the fried pickle appetizer, the beet arugula salad, and chicken fingers with fries. All the food was really good. The pickles tasted either homemade or refrigerator pickles. The coating was maybe a little thick, but crispy. These were chips, served with a fantastic spicy remoulade. My picky daughter didn't love them, but I did. If I was hungrier and not dieting, I would have eaten them all!I loved the beet salad. Yellow and red beet chunks surrounded a fresh bed of arugula and greens with walnut sized perfectly fried goat cheese balls and macadamia nuts. It was dressed with a light balsamic vinaigrette. The dressing wasn't strong or oily and I either could have used a little more or maybe I should have used a dash of salt & pepper. The salad was great though and I really enjoyed it. The chicken fingers were 4 big pieces of crispy breast meat tenders with good fries. My daughter loved these. This is a great place in Arlington and if ever in the area again, I would definitely stop in!"
"Very cute bar situated steps below street level, can be easily missed if you didn't know what you were looking for.We sat at the bar for a drink during our journey walking through the city, so glad we found this little cute gem of a place! Came early dinner time and the place was empty, drinks were creative and very yummy! Definitely worth a visit!"
"So I was in the mood for some late night pizza so I thought I would give this a shot and as always they did not disappoint the food was amazing the service was great but more important than that this place has got to be one of the cleanest pizzerias that I've ever gone into they make sure that it stays spotless and I give them kudos for that"
"A hit every time. BIG sandwiches with generous sides... but don't miss the onion rings either. Beer selection is great, service is great. Ambience is pub-ish but I find a variety of people of all ages here. Vegetarians should note that substitutions for sandwiches are the best way to get a good combo. Don't settle for anything, and keep in mind both the exceptional truffle and exceptional saffron aiolis. Bon apetit! I can't wait to go back."
"I absolutely love sunset cantina. The food and drinks are amazing, and reasonably priced. We ordered house nachos, shrimp tacos, chicken wings, and pina coladas. The portion size for the house nachos are extremely generous. The shrimp tacos are delicious. They are different from regular shrimp tacos, which are usually fried. The tacos comes with a side of beans and Mexican rice. Students get 15% off food and it is a popular spot during the school year. Service was excellent and our server, Alfonso, was super nice! Sunset cantina is perfect for any day of the week and any occasion! Overall rating: 9/10"
"I came here on a Saturday night. The place had a classic sports bar vibe. The drinks menu was pretty solid and the food was above average for a pub. The kitchen stayed open relatively late and everything was reasonably priced. I would go back if I ended up in Porter Square at night."
"Stopped in on an autumn evening for a late weekday dinner. Really nice space. Casual but stylish design. Small bar crowd watching sports, couples eating at tables in the back. Delicious salad and burger. Will be back when we are in the neighborhood."
"food was okay. service was friendly. my ravioli were chewy. not my favorite, but not the worst. But!!! $31 for 4 gummy ravioli and a few nubs of chicken were NOT worth the price. i ate one gummy ravioli."
"My family member recommended this place for a late night snack in Boston:750 Tavern kitchen and patio square on Mass. AveParking: metered street parking. Free after certain hours.Ordered from the Late night menu.I had the burger with friesMy family member had the chicken tenders with tator tots. He saud the tenders dish is alwats consistently great. He ate here several times and the tenders were grear!Bar environment with many big screen TVs all over the restaurant.Wait staff was pleasant and answered all our questions. I was grateful the wait staff added slices of avocado to my burger.Place is great for friends and/or family for great time together fir food and drinks."
"Popped in here for lunch and it really hit the spot. The burger is as classic as a pub burger should be in the best of ways. Really well prepared, and the potatoes were the right texture and plentiful. And both were even better with the side of bbq sauce I got which you should definitely get too. If it wasn't so pricey for a burger at lunch, I'd say it should be a regular event."
"Friendly, attentive wait staff. The beer options are pretty good and inexpensive. Food is so-so, mixed reviews from my party (see pics). We came here accidentally after rock climbing nearby because we thought this was part of the brewery next door but we ended up staying since they have food while their neighbors do not. Overall fairly enjoyable meal with friends."
"We stumbled upon this place while shopping for deserts upstairs. This little gem is subterranean and I had no idea it was there. I thought we were headed downstairs to find a place to eat the desserts we purchased upstairs. Lo and behold, there is a great little sports bar and pub down there. The bartender was quite pleasant and our waitress was pretty, funny and very good at her job. We had a few drinks, chatted with some locals, ordered a few personal sized pizzas and had a great time. It seems the locals view this as a fun place to take a date as it was definitely "cozy" down there. It's neat, clean and fun. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. It was a fun little accident we enjoyed."
"Delicious breakfast with super friendly service! Leave room for the generous portions! High quality ingredients served fresh and fast!"
"Had take out today and the "Figgy Piggy" sub was deliciousThe sub and a individual bottle of soda was $13.50I'd say worth the priceAppreciated all the staff wearing masks too.I did take out instead of eating there since there's still a pandemic"
"*** 11/2019 ***A seasonal specials sheet caught my eye.The Pumpkin Bisque with smoke gouda $5.99 bowl was savory tasty rich, but served lukewarm instead of hot. Both Victoria's Hangover Burger $13.99 (8 oz Angus beef patty topped with a fried egg, smoked bacon, American cheese, smother with black pepper maple syrup aioli) and Victoria's Breakfast Sandwich $10.99 (2 fried eggs, melted pepper jack cheese, famous turkey hash, topped with chipotle mayo) were served on a jumbo English muffin. Both were pretty good. I was just bummed that somehow I always seem to end up with the short end of the stick with my portion of french fries, which by the way, was terrific on this visit.Off the regular menu, the breakfast burrito (shaved sirloin with two scrambled eggs, peppers, onions and pepper jack cheese $10.49) was missing something. It just wasn't particularly well flavored, and the beef came out a bit tough. The portion sufficed though.*** 12/2019 ***New seasonal specials sheet, though there wasn't one on our table, so I borrowed the one I spotted at an empty table not too far away. Two of us ended up sharing two of the specials:Shashuka $14.99This famous breakfast dish from Israel is a delicious mix of 2 poached eggs, smothered with mozzarella and gouda cheese, in a homemade tomato sauce spiced with onions, garlic, cilantro and paprika... Served with a side of toast and homefries or hash browns.Huevos Rancheros $14.99This famous breakfast dish from Mexico is a delicious mix of 2 eggs any style, served with avocado, black beans, cilantro, topped with salsa and shredded cheddar on a corn tortilla.Another friend later commented that traditionally, shashuka is vegetarian, the eggs are cooked in the tomato sauce, and there is no cheese in it.Victoria's may not have been traditional, but somehow the mix with the potato cubes found beneath the gooey saucy cheese with lovely bits of onion and unannounced yet welcome basil leaves was quite tasty, rich, and filling. The other dish was enjoyed by our resident vegetarian. Visually, it was a bit deconstructed a plating, with the tortillas arriving the form of two folded tortilla shells, which we found out could be swapped out for pita upon request. I made myself a breakfast tortilla with my shell.Of the two, I preferred the Shashuka, but if recollections serve me well, I think I may revisit Victoria's Breakfast Sandwich sooner, if it continues to remain on their special roster.*** 1/2020 ***Guess the hash browns were short lived. They weren't offered on this visit when a bunch of ordered omelettes for lunch. The breakfast potatoes were quite good, and they filled the New Market Veggie $10.99 (minus the jalapenos please) quite well with crisp firm vegetables, which made it feel like a sensible healthy option. A DC however wasn't crazy about the sweetened marinade used in their fried chicken.Even though the steak tips in my Victoria's Steak Sandwich on Ciabatta $11.99 came north of the requested medium rare, the meat was still quite pleasantly tender.I've been hankering lately to give their French Toast a try, and only recently realized that their Eggs & Cakes $8.99 come with either pancakes OR french toast ($5.99 a la carte for 2 pieces) with 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes or grits, and choice of toast. Hmmm...No more Monthly Specials for now it seems."
"Good Food and Cheap BeersI went here at the last minute with a friend before an AEW event and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was very nice and had a range of selections. We both ended up getting the burger and it was excellent and perfectly cooked. There was also a great selection of cocktails and reasonably priced oysters! It took a little longer than I would have expected for our food to arrive but not outrageously so. Service was friendly and I would definitely go back before my next visit to the Garden.Tip: Hamms Cans for 4 bucksThanks"
