If you like the smell of throw up and sweat while you dance then this is the place for you. Incredibly packed place, is it not a fire hazard? Lol. I've been to pretty packed clubs/bars before but damn. This place made the nasty humid Houston weather outside feel soo good.Skimmed these Yelp reviews and it looks like the service my cousin (male & Asian) received is pretty regular for this establishment. That's unfortunate. Snooty bartenders are a no go for me. I'd rather take my money elsewhere.

I had never been to Boots 'n Shoots because I thought it was a country bar. After my friend told me I was mistaken, we hit it up on a Friday night. Boots is located on Main Street, my favorite place to go out in Houston. You can walk from bar to bar and there are late-night food options if you get hungry. Since it's downtown, parking is iffy but you can find street parking if you look.Rather than a country bar, they play a lot of rap and top 40. It's a lot larger than you would think as there are 3 levels. On the first floor, you have your typical bar scene. A long bar which can get relatively packed plus some comfortable seating. On the second floor, there's a quieter, lounge area with arcade games. On the third floor, there's a dance floor with a DJ and another bar. My only complaint is that by midnight on a Friday, the dance floor was packed. It's one of those situations where you're packed in there like sardines. Music was really good though. Boots n' Shoots has everything I'm looking for if I'm trying to turn up. Drink prices are about average for the area and they also have a specialty cocktail list.

Mhmmmmygod. It is unbearably packed, to where you wonder if it's a fire hazard or not. The second floor feels like it may cave in at any moment, lol. Also, god forbid you're wearing a shirt with a face on it, as they will not let you in. It was a Tupac shirt that I could not wear inside. Other than that, the other times I've been it was fun, good music and seems like a great time. It's just really packed.

Came during HH on a Saturday and the bartender spun the wheel for us and it landed on $5 u call its. After about 10pm they open the 2nd floor for dancing. Before 10, the 1st level and mezzanine (game area) are open for customers.Although I didn't stay for dancing, I would like to come back and check out the music playing.

I was here few weeks again and be told it's a new bar. They have a small game room area in the 2nd floor and dancing floor at 3rd floor. You can get to spin the wheel to see what discount you would get. I ordered a bless your heart from menu and it tasted a little strange. They change one rum punch for me. I might come back during late hours for the dancing sometimes.

We had a good time here during Black Friday! There wasn't much of a waiting line to get in. We got our ids checked and proceed inside. The downstairs was pretty chill. It wasn't nearly as crowded as the upstairs. There are two set of stairs. One set leads you to the dance floor which was extremely crowded. I mean it was barely any room to dance or anything but that's a pretty much common theme with the dance floor at clubs and bars. The other set of stairs leads to a chill out, hang out spot. This little area have a couches, a couple of games and some chairs to sit at a little bar (no bartender though). It just a good place to relax, talk and chill. The music was a variety. It's important for these business to please everyone. Didn't order any drinks at the bar, I never do because of the crowds and the fear of being overcharged! So I'll stick to pregaming lol!!I'll definitely hit this place up again!! No issues or complaints from me!

Boots 'n Shoots is actually probably my favorite dancing bar in the city of Houston. It's one of the few places that I would be totally willing to go to two nights in a row without much hesitation:1) It's right off the Metro2) No cover (at least I haven't seen one yet)3) Normal bar prices for drinks4) Great music5) Awesome dancing scene6) Post-game food nearby They do have a dress code like a lot of other bars in that area, but it's not anything ridiculous -- just dress like you're actually going out and look the part, and you should be fine! Would recommend!

I'm writing this because I felt strongly enough to confess to people what we encountered at this bar. Therefore be warned if you don't want your card stolen or "misplaced." We payed for drinks and once we got our tab the bar tender (tiny, had blonde highlights with braces, Hispanic looking) gave us a check presenter. Turns out it wasn't ours and insisted that we had already signed for it. Clearly it wasn't our signature nor the inked pen she gave us but kept on saying that she gave us our card and that we already payed. We tried telling her that it wasn't right and that she never gave us our card back. Mind you she was smiling the hole time insisting that she gave us our card back, not at all concerned. Cops came and we tried to explain what happened and they just brushed it off. This was a little after two and one said "Aw man you're just making me work more." The bar just simply said we'll call you if we see the card. The transaction was just in matter of seconds, it just doesn't make sense that this lady was inconsiderate and lost our card. We think it's completely irresponsible but I guess that's what happens in a bar like this... Overall the ambiance was great but the bar tender was not at all smart about her work.
