Bonci is a gem that never fails to impress, drawing me back every time I'm in town. The ever-changing flavors ensure that each visit is a new and exciting culinary adventure.On this occasion, I indulged in the pesto and potato, prosciutto, potato and mozzarella, and sausage and mushroom slices. The person at the counter was incredibly friendly and patient as I deliberated over my selections, which only added to the positive experience.Despite a brief 10-minute wait, the anticipation only heightened my excitement. When the pizzas arrived, they exceeded all expectations. Each slice boasted a perfect balance of light, crispy crust and mouthwatering toppings.Among the varieties sampled, the potato pesto stood out as a new favorite, but the classic sausage and mushroom remains a top contender for the ultimate flavor experience.For those yet to experience the magic of Bonci, I highly recommend a visit. Whether you're a seasoned regular or a first-time guest, Bonci never fails to deliver exceptional pizza with unmatched quality and flavor.

I would have never found this amazing little gem of a pizzeria if it was not for Yelp!There is a wide variety of pizzas, something for even the pickiest of pizza-eaters. However, the spicy eggplant 'za is where it's at!!!! It also happens to be vegan, but you would never know if it wasn't labeled. It does have little zip but not overwhelmingly so, and the eggplant is just perfect. YUM!!They also sell a selection of canned beers and wine. This is a very casual place with bar-style seating around the perimeter. It's unique in that you just say how big a piece you want, and they cut it (with scissors no less), and weight it. Price is based on weight. It is a bit on the pricey side but well worth it! Go here. Get the spicy eggplant. You won't regret it!!

This is one of my fav pizza slices in Chicago. It remembers me from " Alice " in when I was living in Rome . I discovered this place last summer after a Yelp event and since then everytime I'm in the area I'll pass by to grab some slices of pizza. Was a nice surprise to see that Alejandro it's still there . He's super nice and helpful. And the manager Ashely she's really great. Love that they have this tap water on the side of the place where the people they set like that you can serve yourself how many time you need in case you're trusty lol. It's also a patio so it's perfect for any time of the year if you want to stay inside or out. So if you ever pass nearby this pizzeria don't miss the chance to taste a slice or more of course of a real Italian flavor of pizza

Bonci is an amazing Italian pizza place and it's a must eat! They make all their pizzas primarily with ingredients imported from Italy. You pay by the weight of the pizza. My cousin told me his favorite was potato and cheese, and I gave him a look like he was crazy. We ordered Potato and Cheese, Burrata, and Smoked Salmon. And wow, they were delicious! I was once skeptical, but my cousin was right Potato and Cheese was pretty darn good. I'd highly recommend it. If you're in Fulton Market area and craving for some pizza, make sure you swing by Bonci! It's worth the wait!

The place is neat! It lets you choose multiple pizzas and cuts off the size of pizza that you want. This way you get to try different flavors. It came fast and they heated it up. The crust is a nice fluffy rising and I got the potato cheese and fried onion. Would definitely recommend this for lunch! My slice was about $8

Great pizza spot in West Loop! You tell them how large of a slice to cut & then you pay by weight. A little bit of seating area in the shop & out on the patio. Definitely a great, quick lunch spot!

Bonci: we ALWAYS come here, every Chicago trip. they sell pizzas in rectangular skinny slices which they cut off with a pair of scissors and give it to you! The final price is based on the total weight of pizza slices ordered..And you would wanna order multiple combinations as the options are numerous and very creative.. there is something about their crust that's just unique.. it was crisp and at the same time the pizza is juicy and the flavors of the ingredients play around your mouth.. they also keep rotating their pizza options, MUST MUST place to visit again and again. The guiding principle of pozzaiolo Gabriele Bonci is quality without compromise with simple natural ingredients. He decided to bring his Al Taglio pizzas from Rome to Chicago, these are the only two places you can get this pizza

Just had the most incredible pizza experience at Bonci Pizzeria in West Loop, Chicago! Their unique toppings and Roman-style slices are a must-try.

Awesome variety of pies paid for by the ounce so you can try lots of awesome stuff. Best dough I think I've had.

STORYTIME: My partner and I had the chance to visit Rome in November 2022 and one BIG stop on our bucket list was to visit Bonci (partner is a HUGE fan of Anthony Bourdain). Unfortunately, every time we tried to go, the location was either closed or had a line all the way down the block! We did not get to try the famous pizza.Fast forward to February 2023, when we moved to Chicago! To our surprise, THERE WAS A BONCI HERE! It was one of our first stops! Immediately we were taken back to our magical trip in Rome- the pizza is authentic and so is the way they serve it (hello scissors!).
