I live about 30miles from this eatery but it remains my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the ATL. I started eating there when the restaurant was in a smaller building up the street. The new restaurant is beautiful, spacious and bright. The service is just as nice and helps as before. The food remains delicious. My favorite dish is the veggie platter, lamb tibs and the chicken dodo wot (and of course the injera bread). The Ethiopian coffee is a must try, too! If you are looking for deliciously authentic Ethiopian cuisine I would highly recommend BOLE. It's worth the drive!

This was a place I'd had on my list and never got to it. Finally a reason to celebrate & try out a new place - my friend's 50th! We went on a Thursday evening which wasn't busy so no reservation required. We were fortunate enough to get seated in the section where Ethiopian Coffee Ceremonies are done. So traditional with the wood stools and woven baskets! For dinner we went for The Taste of Bole sampler to experience everything and share. To drink - we shared a bottle of honey wine that's made in house. My friends said it was sweet and like nothing they'd had before. The sampler includes a mix of their greatest hits - Kitfo, Doro Wot, Shirro, Veggies, Beef Awaze Tibs and Lamb Tibs. Served with injera and salad. The flavors, spices, different textures and variety are a must have. The location is right of I85 and Virginia Ave. Drive past the chains and hotels to eat at Bole which is across the street from the cemetery. The bar is decorated so nicely, plenty of seating, private rooms and a wrap around outdoor patio. I'm excited to try the rest of their menu! I would have given them a 5-star review but the women's restroom was pretty horrible. A stall was overrun with toilet paper, another had no toilet paper and last one wouldn't refill the tank to flush. No more soap or paper towels so that was disappointing. A easy fix to service the toilets and this place is golden.

I have wanted to try Ethiopian food for the longest! While visiting we were able to give this place a try! Met up with a friend who suggested this gem and I am so glad he brought us here! We ordered the Taste of Bole sampler so we could taste everything. The platter was more very filling and more than enough for me and two men with leftovers for later. Everything was freshly made to serve and the spices were phenomenal! The injera was better than I expected as well. Service was great and the establishment was beautiful. Definitely keeping this place on my list of places to eat when in Atlanta.

The place looked clean with lots of cool decor on the walls and tables. Got a friendly greeting from the hostess/waitress doin it all. She recommended a sampler platter and showed me how to scoop with the bread. I did not master the technique, but the food was tasty. Especially the cabbage and yellow lentils!Always nice to experience another culture, and I'd be glad to come back :)

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I was NOT disappointed! It's a very family-type vibe in there, which is already very comforting. I wish i remembered our server's name but she was lovely. As for my food, for starters I ordered Sambusa and the Chickpea Wot, and for dinner I ordered the Vegetarian Combo (more details in the pics) When I first looked at the plate, I thought, oh maybe I'll have some to take home. After that first bite, I wiped that plate CLEAN. Looking back I don't even know if I was that hungry, I think I was so taken aback by how delicious and rich in flavor everything was. I left feeling so full and happy, there's nothing better than trying something for the first time and it tasting better than you expected, looking forward to going back. Btw: This is right by the airport for anyone traveling to or through ATL.

This was my first time eating Ethiopian food. I had a veggie plate. It wasn't bad. There were a few things on my plate I thought was good, but not good enough to buy again. I received this thinly rolled bread that has a texture like a sponge. Unfortunately, they gave me too much of it so I wasn't able to finish my meal. I had it delivered so I'm sorry but I can't tell you about the ambiance or service. Although I didn't eat anything that stood out to me I still recommend you try it. There are so many choices that may be appealing to you. What I will say was amazing was their sweetened Iced tea. My son who hates tea took a sip and said it was really good, which was a shock coming from him.

Best food, best service, best ambiance, best people. I came in with 3 friends of mine and ordered the taste of bole platter. The food was delicious and was more than enough for all of us. The Ethiopian beer is incredible! Family owned restaurant serving delicious food with a smile! Best Ethiopian food in Atlanta by far!

Our first time at Bole. We met my second cousin who just was in town for 6 hour layover. He had never had Ethiopian so it was decided, and no better than to order Bole's Taste of Ethiopia, which was enough for the four of us. We had a couple of ginger beers for spice. Man I just love how filling inerja is and how you can roll all of the dishes into it. When we entered there was a strong scent of incense, which is common in traditional Ethiopian restaurants especially after coffee ceremonies.Host was super friendly.

Super cute established. Clean and put together nicely. The food is amazing 10/10. The efficiency of the service could use some work. We waited a little more than 30 minutes for our order, and our servers didn't check on us as frequently as I would've liked. Granted they were very nice when they did, and there were only two ladies taking care of a lot of customers, so I get it. We will definitely return, but my advice is to not wait until you're on E to stop in because you'll go from hungry to hangry before your food arrives lol.
