I will probably never come back here again. Firstly, I asked the bartender for a menu of alcohols they serve, and he just said "No". Judging from their see-through door on their fridge, I guess I was just supposed to know they only serve beers. If your only habits are gambling, smoking, the Astros, and drinking (beer specifically, nothing else), this place might be a better fit for you.

This place is the Real Deal! Blue Lagoon is an Uber-friendly neighborhood bar that has been there since Moby Dick was a minnow and has consistently stayed true to its "Cheers" rep.Check it out soon and ask for bartender Joey!

Bartender was rude, off-putting and unapologetically bigoted. He apparently read book and kept quoting from it. It was awkward and not enjoyable.

Great Dive Bar. Great service. Very Clean,friendly people, nice bar and clean pool tables.

Heard nothing but bad things about this place and can confirm it's not where you want to spend your time or money. They should really do better!

Love this place. Looked for a venue to shoot some stick and Yelp didn't steer me wrong. Affordable beer, great staff, and a laid back environment. Even met some friends; everybody here was super welcoming. Closest place to "Cheers" I've found in a while. Just what I needed. Will be back again, and again...

I guess it's a dive bar. Great service. Clean environment. Jukebox serving up some good old tunes. Great atmosphere!The have beers on draft and in bottles. They also make a good Martini.Also had BBQ on the Saturday we stopped in. Good people, good service! We will be back again!

I have been visiting the place twice or three times a year since 1986. Those folks that got their feelings hurt, felt neglected or offended at the Blue Lagoon need a hug from their parents and need never to go back. The place is iconic, been there forever, nothing has changed and it is what it is. It's smokey, small and grungy. The place and people don't care about your race, gender, economic status, physical handicaps, employment status etc etc. The place is all about whether you're a good human or not. Period. If you got offended or feelings hurt - then it is what it is. Beer is nice and cold and cheap. Spark up a conversation with any regular and you'll understand the place. If bartender was "rude" it's probably because you're too sensitive. Get over yourself. Self pity filled and/or egotistical folks need not go.PS - u bring ur own food. There's a pit in the back u can borrow. Only beer served as far as I know.

So, I give this dive bar 5 stars, my friend and I started coming here since it's close to our job and we love it! The frequent customers are very welcoming and the bartender Kyle is awesome! It's also pet friendly as-well.

Don't come if you're a person of color. Was asked to leave the premises, because I was in the parking lot waiting for someone."I know what you're doing back there you're on camera.." as I'm literally just trying to figure out if I wanted to stay.
