Disgusting, Looked Bad, Smelled Worst. Gross! Almost $5 for a BLT was loaded with L&T but only 3 pieces of meat. Shut It Down!
Dont eat here! I wanted to leave but i looked in the kitchen and it wasn't bad.
From Redford movie...one of two major Hollywood films filmed there.

This place is a local gem. Authentic family owned corner diner. We ate here for breakfast twice during our stay in the neighborhood (Brewerytown). The place was not crowded either morning. Made me a bit nervous at first. That was short lived as the food was great and service friendly. Their pancakes, French toast, creamed chipped beef on toast, home fries were all great. The second visit we introduced my daughter and her boyfriend to the place. I think they will be back as they just moved into the area.Again great meals and no wait.

Soooo tasty and so many options that are very affordable. Such a quaint diner! The only downside is cash only, but there is an atm across the street. If they took card, it would be an easy 5 stars!

My husband and I walked in here and walked out. It was a very depressing environment with no music playing and the booths were very uncomfortable. We waited for a couple of minutes and although there was staff present no one came to give us menus or to offer us a glass of water etc. I can't comment on the quality of the food since we didn't stay long enough to try it. Seeing the picture of the toilet though that another yelper put is enough to make me never go back. Shame.

I am in town from Colorado and am staying very close to this place. So happy to have a breakfast spot while I'm staying here in Philly. Low prices, owned by an older couple, good, basic menu. Best of all, it is not crowded and it's quiet, such an introverts dream. I loved eating the French toast especially.

This is a very basic corner diner. Came in for brunch with several friends, hoping to nurse our hangovers. It's run by a little old Greek couple so it's kinda just a mom and pop diner in brewerytown. Just typical breakfast food and local favorites like scrapple. My problem is that there's nothing super interesting or tasty on the menu and the place could really benefit from good cleaning. So I haven't been back, probably won't go back anytime soon.I can't speak to lunch or dinner.

Great local hole in the wall. Don't come here on a Sunday morning expecting to get bottomless mimosas and crab Benedict's with some sort of fancy aioli. This is a simple diner with good service and good food.

Nostalgic to the max! Pictured is their original 1970s menu sign and prices, and a poster from one of two major Hollywood films that have filmed there. Prices were incredible: $7.25 for my Greek omelette including toast!). Yummy homemade pies, authentic Cincy-style chili (original owners are Greek immigrants and now the daughter owns it. Come for the kitsch and nostalgia and for a slice of true Northside. Great article about the owners' life story and more: https://www.citybeat.com/food-drink/fifty-years-fly-by-at-northsides-blue-jay-restaurant-12182235

Such a cute neighborhood diner owned by a lovely Greek couple. The food is exactly what you would expect from a diner and great after a long night out. We live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back

My boyfriend & I live in the neighborhood & came here for breakfast. Very old run down place, not that sanitary, but good tasting food. But after today, we will not be returning. Staff was rude, we weren't greeted, given water or menus for a good 5 minutes even though we were the only customers there. The man and woman were giving me & my boyfriend disgusted looks throughout breakfast, probably because we're interracial. They acted like it was a hassle to serve us. A very polite homeless man came in with the utmost respect asking for a glass of water. The Greek man cursed him out for spilling 2 drops of water on the floor. The homeless man proceeded to grab napkins to clean but the man still cursed him out. The homeless man apologized and proceeded to leave. My boyfriend and I gave the man a couple of dollars and a bottle of water. We told the Greek man that everybody deserves a bit of water especially on this hot day & that was no way to treat people. He cursed us out. We packed our breakfast & left. Disgusting attitude.
