Blue Iguana taco house

We went here because they are always busy and so it must be good right? Went with the kids, and the parking lot was full, but there was no wait. The inside was very spacious and had cool decor. The wait staff was quick and friendly and checked in regularly to make sure you were doing good. The food was amazing and fairly priced. The only thing I wish they had were booths (it's just easier with kiddos), but they only had the traditional tables and chairs. Overall highly recommend and would definitely go again.

My wife and I really enjoy this place. Good drinks, great menu options, and delicious food. This is one of our go-to's for Mexican food. We will definitely be back again.

Stopped in here for some tacos and margaritas on a Thursday so it wasn't too busy. We sat on the back patio and our service was friendly and possibly maybe even too attentive... All of the tacos we ordered were good, but my favorite was the shrimp Diablo! They were flavorful and filled nicely. Our margaritas were tasty but not too strong which I guess we should have expected during happy hour... The stand out for both of us were the chips (and salsa)! Their chips are thin and crispy with a nice balance of corn flavor; they're not greasy and had the perfect saltiness! I'll be going back for the chips alone!

9.23.22My hubby and I tried the Blue Iguana tonight for the first time. It is a cute restaurant in Magnolia, TX. (Very clean too) They were busy and the staff was very attentive. We were seated right away. They have a large outdoor patio and it was quite full when we showed up. The service was good. The food was also good. I ordered fajita beef tostados and sliced avocados (since the guacamole has tomatoes) The tostados had quite a bit of fajita meat and were very good. I would order them again! My husband ordered Diablo tacos. One with shrimp(bacon wrapped around it) and a chicken taco(bacon wrapped around it) with rice and beans. He said the shrimp taco was very very good and chicken one was good as well. He liked the shrimp one the best and would order both again. My hubby said the rice and beans were like every Tex-Mex restaurant good but not great. We did not order drinks this time but they did look delicious. We will definitely be eating here again.

Blue Iguana is my favorite little place in Magnolia. The staff is polite and I love the food. Plenty of space inside as well as out to have a group meal with friends & family. Beverages are Coca-Cola products, beer, a small wine list and mix drinks Great lunch menu and dinner menu. My go-tos are the Señorita and my husband loves their fajitas. Plenty of parking front and back sometimes it spills over to the Tractor Supply parking lot. Best times to go for me are lunch time if I go there for dinner I prefer 4pm or 6pm.

Your typical country style TexMex. The "jalapeño" queso blanco was white queso, but just tasted like white velveeta. Not sure why it has the word jalapeño in it as there were none in the bowl, nor was there any heat/spice. Not sure why all places serve barely above room temp queso. Had to add their salsa (really good) to get any spice. Enchilada and tamale meal was ok, but they use the same gravy for the tamales, cheese enchilada and chicken. No diversity in flavor. Rice and beans were ok. Service was a bit slow at times, the like to group together in a corner and talk.

Crawfish was surprisingly amazing! Perfectly spicy and I didn't have to discard a SINGLE one. I always come here and order skinny margaritas and tacos, but I was incredibly happy that I decided to try their crawfish finally. The food is amazing compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area and the margaritas are out of this world! We just keep coming back!!

Food was decent but they brought me the wrong order. I ordered the Diablo combo and they brought me two chicken not a chicken and shrimp combo. Chicken was a little dried out but they were very busy and waitress rarely came back to our party of 8 except to bring drinks and then ran off before my issue could be addressed. Nice patio for seating.

The Dirty Donkey is my go-to. Portion size is great and I am always satisfied with the taste.

The top shelf margaritas are rediciculously priced at 17.00And I watched as it was prepared with about a half shot of patrons. It tasted like a regular margarita. So I ordered a shot of Quervo to make it better and the shot was 9.00 so 26 dollars for my beverage. It's just crazy pricing in this horrible economy. We ate alacart and wife had 1 crown and coke. With tip , total was 70 dollars. Just crazy..I will never order there weak over sweet margaritas ever again. Don't waste your time and money going there. The owners are rarely there so there is no one to complain to.​
