Blue Bay Restaurant

I was pleasantly surprised. Big portions. The wings were fried well and seasoned well. The Mac was pepper forward but good and the yams were good too.

The shrimp as well as the fish were huge. My family really enjoyed all the food except for the banana pudding. You could not taste the cookies and there were no bananas in the pudding. We ordered take out and the food was hot and ready for pick up when we arrived.

Good food, fast friendly service. The vegetarian platter is great except the greens have to much rib left in them .

I was out shopping with my sister when she suggested Blue Bay, to grab something to eat. I order the Fried Whiting Platter. The platter came with (3 Whiting, 3 Jumbo Shrimps, Cabbage, & Brown Rice with gravy) all for 13.85. The fish, shrimp was fried perfectly & taste pretty good. The Brown rice & gravy was decent and the cabbage wasn't bad either. The staff was nice, didn't have to wait long for my order. The restaurant decor is outdated, so its definitely time for a renovation (Just a suggestion). Blue Bay gets a 3.5 - 4 Stars from me..

Going into Philadelphia I saw this fast food store for Deep Southern home cooking. Collared greens, catfish, yams. Except the store is managed and cooked by Chinese. Patrons I talked to love this soul food store and darned it works. Food was great. And who needs another Chinese restaurant?Blue Bay Restaurant, City Ave., Philly.

Tried this place on a whim with a gf and we were very pleased. The woman at the counter was helpful and answered all of our questions. The food was also very tasty and there was no wait. I ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese, greens and cornbread. The fried chicken was really good, nice and crispy like I like it, the mac and cheese was just alright, and surprisingly the greens tasted great ! They were very well seasoned and that can be a hit or miss with most places. The cornbread was also delicious too. Overall the food was very reasonably priced and tasty. I'll definitely be back.

Missing food. I got passed it. They promised to send my French fries the next day wtf. Nasty after-taste. Throw the whole restaurant away. Never ever ever again. You'll need mouthwash after this meal. (Order fried Whiting platter with fries) FAIL. WASTED MONEY. RATHER STARVE

I've been going here for years and I wanted to gatekeeper this place, but the food is always super good lol. Their wings are the best, but the sides don't slack either. Their mac and cheese is delicious, the cabbage is flavorful and the sweet potato pie could use some more nutmeg, but it ain't bad! Hope they continue to stick around

I am not a fan. Upon arrival it smelled like dead fish. The fried fish used to be good. I haven't eaten there in over a year. I aunt plan on going back. The vegetables are all canned.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. When I returned yesterday, I was glad to see that I could walk in and sit if I wanted to. However the seats were ripped. The people were nice. The Mac and cheese is usually good got it home and it had that uncooked flour taste. I do hope that they return to their previous standard of cleanliness and cooking.
