We are not from Houston so I literally just checked what had high ratings near our hotel. This place exceeded my expectations. We ordered the queso in the cup, shrimpFajitas, beef fajitas and two chicken nugget kid meals. The quality of the shrimp and beef fajitas were as high as Pappasitios but for half the cost. The shrimp was loaded with veggies and a good amount of large shrimp. The beef fajitas were extremely tender, we will definitely go back for that. Both our kids had no complaints on the nuggets, some times when you order kids meals from different restaurants they are not that great but ours ate the entire plate. Besides that the back patio looks beautiful, there are lights and seating areas to enjoy a margarita. It was super cute . Over all for what we ordered we probably spent half then if we spent at other restaurants for fajitas

For beautiful patio dining, Blue Agave has you covered. It possesses one of the lovelier patios on the west side of town. This place is definitely a step up from the usual Tex-mex fare. Perfect for a date night or any other night.If you enjoy midday margaritas, they have a kickass margarita special. $3 at three, $4 at four, and $5 at five. There's also other happy hour drink specials and food specials. Combined with their daily bar specials, there's some good deals to take advantage of.I do enjoy how they have some more infrequent options on the menu such as ribs and seafood options like mahi mahi, and snapper. The cilantro rice is to die for. I highly recommend the mahi special, which includes scallops and mahi-mahi, topped with a delicious cream based sauce. It was pure perfection!Definitely worth checking out!

My family and I stopped in for New Year's and we were excited to see Blue Agave Cantina was open! The service started off a little rough but after getting settled about ten minutes in, everything was great! We had the table guacamole with their delicious house chips. My husband and father-in-law shared the Chicken Fajitas, and I had the Taco Salad and they graciously substituted the chicken with grilled vegetables. Even though it was a holiday, the place became increasingly busy. We enjoyed trying this new place and hope to return again soon.

I flew into town on business and wanted to get some good Mexican food. Blue Agave wasn't very far from my hotel and the menu looked really good. I arrived early in the day so I was one of the first people in the restaurant. I grabbed a seat at the bar and made sure that I didn't overlook anything on the menu. The brought the basket of chips and salsa. WOW! The amount of chips that they provided was HUGE and the salsa was pretty amazing. I decided on the Carne Asada and was warned that the portions were big. They were not joking as it was again pretty HUGE. I guess it's true that everything is bigger in TEXAS. The flavor of the carne asada was AMAZING. The service was good and the bartender was very attentive. I had a great experience here and would recommend this restaurant.

I will come back when it's cooler. The AC isn't working so well in the summer heat, but they have floor fans everywhere to keep the air moving so it wasn't so bad. Ask for the waiter named Angel. He is a hoot. The margarita's are potent...only had 2 and I am feeling GOOOOOOOOD! LOL!! Everything from the white queso to the smoky salsa to the enchiladas and quesadillas were delicious! It's just the Texas heat that hurts. Ha!

No idea this Mexican Restaurant was not too far from me! Not too crowded when I went on a Saturday evening. Although it is a great place to have a group dinner.Margaritas are strong, fajitas are tender and pretty good! There is an outdoor patio that is so cute. Highly recommended on a nice day to go sit out on their back patio and enjoy the food/ margaritas. Well be back with family and more friends.

Handmade tortillas, huge jumbo shrimp brochette wrapped in bacon and came out sizzling were absolutely amazing! Definitely the most bang for my buck at $13.99. Will definitely be back for the Shrimp Brochette appetizer. We sat at the bar and enjoyed wine with dinner. It was nice casual easy crowd for a Friday. The owner came to by which was a delight. Highly recommend everyone try this spot.

What a fun place, especially for a birthday! We brought my wife here for her birthday as first-time guests and were blown away by the food, the service and the ambiance! The Seafood Enchiladas were delicious with plenty of seafood and very nice cheese, not the cheap stuff. The Shrimp Tacos were very flavorful as well, but the Beef Enchiladas and the Beef Burrito were the stars of the meal both featuring very well-seasoned lean beef with several spices to make it complex. The Tres Leches at the end was probably the best we have ever had!Thanks to our server, Victori B, and to Chef Charlie Watkins to a special, unforgettable meal and birthday celebration! We will certainly be back.

Don't you hate it when you order crunchy tacos to go and by the time you get home they are soggy because they've been steaming in the Togo containers? WELL...you don't have to worry about that when you order from Blue Agave. They separate the crunchy taco shells from the other ingredients. They put the meat(s), lettuce, pico, cheese in separate compartments. It's like a mini "taco bar to go" I am so excited to eat my crunchy tacos. (I had to write this review first before I dig in!!! Their food is so good and the atmosphere is both intimate and fun. Their staff are always attentive and nice.
