Blk Mkt Birria

Stumbled across this food truck at the Bayou City Arts Festival and thought the birria nachos sounded good so we gave them a try.The man who took my order was kind and funny and I thought the price of the nachos was very fair. The birria and the rest of the toppings were actually very good and there was enough to last down to the last chip, which I very much appreciate. The reason I gave this truck 3 stars is the chips were very stale. The toppings were delicious and it would have been amazing if they were paired with some much better chips. Instead, I almost resorted to just eating the toppings with a fork.Some of the other items on this truck's menu looked good and I would give them a second chance with some of those other items if I ever stumble on this truck again.

12:30 outside the Houston convention center on a record setting heatwave this truck and about 8 others braved the humidity to avail themselves to a couple of thousand conference goers. Glad they did!I'm a birria fan and was hoping to try their Quesabirria taco trio, but the friendly staff advised they were out (or it was too hot for frying tacos) and had only their #2 which is essentially a birria quesadilla ($14.95). That still hit the spot! While the tortilla was soft (almost soggy) it foretold its inner contents: generous amounts of slightly spicy and juicy shredded beef, along with melted cheese, all layered edge-to-edge, inside of a 12" folded and cut-in-half tortilla. Whew! Condiments included diced cilantro, onion, and radishes. A small cup of au jus completed the entree. Grab napkins and enjoy!

I ordered the birria tacos at Blk Mkt, which is located in the new Conservatory Galleria food hall, and they were delightful. Such tender, flavorful beef, and the tacos were an interesting and good combination of soft with a little bit of crunchiness. Thumbs up!

Saw many posts on IG and really wanted to try their food quesabirria. Finally got to try them at a market downtown and unfortunately not what I expected. The staff was nice and service was pretty quick considering they had a whole market full of people to serve. But unfortunately the flavor was lacking. The quesabirria by themselves were pretty average, nothing too bad but nothing too exciting. The consomé helped a bit with flavor but still not as good as other places I've tried. Looks better than it tastes. Overall okay.

The hubs and I stopped by 8th Wonder Brewery and just happened to find this food truck opening for lunch out back. We ordered the Queso Birria Tacos. (Comes with 4. We chose 2 beef barbacoa and 2 chicken birria)The cheese, meat and tortillas were super tasty. But add the pickled onions, cilantro, chopped onions and radish. Wow. Then dip them in that good consommé...we were in taco heaven. Zeus was super friendly and very personable. We really enjoyed meeting him. Wishing him lots of great business. Go see him!!

4/5!Was recommended to give this place a try while in the area. The food truck is located in a nice open area with plenty of places to sit and eat. The food: I got the quesobirria tacos, which coke with 4 tacos, and they were delicious. The meat was cooked nicely as it wasn't dry or chewy. It had plenty of melted cheese and had a slight kick as well. It all worked very well together, especially with the consomé! The consomé was flavorful and had some chunks of meat in it as well.The service: the staff were very friendly and answered any questions I had. The food came out at a reasonable time. I didn't have to wait long at all, as there weren't many people there.Overall, great food and great service. I'll go back again if I'm back in Texas.

I had Eli and his awesome team at Blk Mkt Birria cater a party of 100+ for me for the 2nd year in a row and they knocked it out of the park...AGAIN!!! The team is super friendly and helpful and the food is delicious! Several of my guests commented to me about how great the food tasted. I will definitely use them again!

Went on a first date to black market Birria. This part is important. So my date wanted to take me here and originally wanted to go to the location in the heights. So we went there and saw it was moved and tried two other places to eventually find it at the galleria conservatory. Thankfully the date was going well while vibing in the car that driving around wasn't an issue. I got the quesabirria barbacoa tacos. And he got the quesabirria chicken tacos. Each were about $13 for 3 tacos I enjoyed it and it's some of the better Birria I've had in houston with a good spice. Still not the best ones I've ever had but good. The cheese could have more flavor and the consume could have a better depth of flavor which would in turn make the Birria better. The wait wasn't long and you order and then they text you when the food is ready. Nice system.

We got the Birria Ramen and Quesabirria. They were out of Chicken and I am very picky about my barbacoa, but I have to say it was so good. The service was excellent, staff was very nice.

I will always recommend this place to my friends! My only criticism is the consume can be a bit overly spicy... i wish they had 2 options for those who like less spice forward consume!
