Came here for a lunch on a whim. They do not take reservations purely Walkens. And for lunch apparently blade is combined with the other restaurant Vida. You are allowed to order from either menu as two separate kitchens will make the dishes and will be served to you at your table. The best part about this meal was our waiter, named Belford. He was absolutely honest and incredibly funny. His hospitality and service is really setting the bar high for us not only for this restaurant, but also future meals as well as the hotel property overall. Everything we ordered was super fresh and tasty, as well as hot. No complaints whatsoever from me. The best part had to be the desert as it was super creative and it's a great infusion of multiple Asian classic flavors. Please note the pictures of the flower or lotus, and the entire thing was edible.Note that for all of the Miami beach hotels, there is a service charge of 20% already included in your bill. If you choose to add additional gratuity you can. If I am ever back here in Miami, I would definitely stop here again. The freshness of the seafood and sushi alone make it a viable competitor even to its neighbors.

It being in the hotel and there are so many options out there, I get the hesitation, but the options were inventive and all tasted great. Yes, you are paying more than outside but it was as good of experience as I've had in other places in Miami and I didn't have to leave, which was convenient. Staff very nice and attentive.

I didn't take pictures this night, but let me share what was the experience.Súper Chic place as can be expected if it's inside of the Fountainbleu. BUT very underwhelming. I can understand fresh tasting food and quality food (having two chef siblings & tastings galore) but it was still completely underwhelming. Fresh fish, but it felt like I was on a diet eating fish. Being on a diet and eating fish like that can be very bland and boring. This was two months ago and I can only recall the Blade sushi roll, but other sushi rolls seemed to be just the same.

This was my absolute favorite restaurant in the fountain blue! My boyfriend and I ended up going here twice during our stay it was so delicious! The food was always fantastic and no matter what we ordered! I was always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite! The fish was so fresh! The chef even made a few special rolls for us when asked! Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat sushi in Miami!

Blade @ The Fontainebleau, Miami Although my fellow Yelpers managed to average your establishment with a cumulative 3* out of a possible 5*, which is generous, it connotes a warning. Well, ya got me. All of those recent 5* reviews that swayed me in your direction may have worked this time but I shall have the last word...Bladeedoo!Despite an edited menu, offering only sushi, sashimi and simple choices, the staggeringly flavorless fish combos were unsalvageable. They failed the most important skill of mastering well seasoned, warm, sticky rice but were shamelessly graduated to one of the most respected tasks in all of food preparation...the art of sushi/sashimi. Hamachi app with Asian pear, micro cilantro and jalapeño was a $30 diminutive, anemic insult. Back went the barely defrosted, flavorless shrimp tempura roll in exchange for a slightly less frigid one. Bowls of steamed white rice were a chilly, air conditioned, room temp. Whomever crafted what we call a 'Naruto' roll back in NYC, renamed it and jacked it up another $25. We have no contention spending top dollar for superb eats but this here was a sickening display in incompetence, disrespect and greed, totaling $160.00 for four rolls, two bowls of white rice and one Litchi Martini. You will henceforth be renamed...Blasé.

Tried this restaurant out during our stay and let me you, this is a another level of sushi. Our waiter recommended a few things: sake-su, miso soup, blade sushi rolls, and octopus carpaccio. All dishes are amazing and fun.

Then you want to ask for "additional gratuity" Is this a joke?Edit: got the sushiIt's cold.Like they pulled it out of the fridge cold..Just go pick some up at some grocery store and it will cost you a fraction of the price. Sheesh.

Not sure why this place has a 2.9! America was our server and she made our experience so awesome!! All the staff are so welcoming and attentive. Got edamame, miso soup, and ebi tempura roll. Food came out so quick, and as someone who loves sushi it was a great dinner. Would recommend to anyone. If you go, show America some love!!!!
