I went to a Black Bear in Vegas and really enjoyed the food, so I decided to try it out again but I was thoroughly disappointed. I got the hot turkey with gravy and mashed potatoes. The turkey was insanely dry, to the point that I couldn't believe it was even served. Also, the meal was cold like cold cold not one touch of warmth to it at all.Unfortunately I will not be retuning back to this location.

This is my second visit. Great food with variety of breakfast options. Ebony took great care of us while managing a busy section. She explained the options to me about the pancake specials to help me make a sound choice. I love their Italian sausage and Huckleberry lemonade.

Very organized. Seated promptly. They conveniently have text option for when your table is ready. Went on a Saturday around 12 and the place was packed! When we were seated we were promptly waited on and served. She was on point. Overall the menu is awesome they have so many breakfast lunch and dinner options to choose from. I had coffee but they have mimosas and beer too. The plates were made fresh and served a lot of food. We couldn't finish it all. The pancakes and sweet cream waffle are to die for. They have a little shop on the way out. Loved it.

10.1.23 Super late lunch again. Hubby and I were in the Cypress area finishing up some chores and stopped at BBD for a quick meal before heading home.We both ordered breakfast food. I was going to redeem my birthday meal but when I went to pay it was expired. Bummer! I ordered a French toast meal with bacon and eggs. Everything was very tasty. I would order it again. Hubby ordered biscuits with sausage and gravy and it also came with grits. He said his meal was good and super filling. The gentlemen waiter was good and they were not crowded when we arrived. So it was quiet. We really like BBD - wish there was a location in Magnolia, TX! We will eat here again when we are in the area.

Black Bear quickly became one of our favorites for breakfast. The portions are huge and there are so many different things to choose from including vegetarian and healthier options. Service has always been great, from the wait staff to the amount of time we're waiting on the food. Aside from the food, they have a tiny gift shop at the entrance. The only thing I would change is how you pay, from paying directly at the register to paying the waiters instead. While we were there this last time, we witnessed two different sets of customers "dine and dash" which pisses me off. Other than this detail, this place is great and I highly recommend it.

Husband and I was running errands and decided to get breakfast at black bear diner in Cypress. Not my first time at the restaurant but first time at the Cypress location. Was happy that we had no wait time was able to be seated immediately but I'm sure it was because it was a week day and not the weekend. The food was amazing as always I love the fresh squeezed orange juice and the food was top notch. I don't ever recall ordering the pancakes in the past but let's say I think I'll be ordering them at every visit in the future. These pancakes are to die for mmmm mmmm good melt in your mouth good so much better than other restaurants for sure. Service was A1 she checked in on us often not overly but within reason. The ambiance was family friendly everything was great from the service, the food, and cashier definitely will be returning in the future. Kudos to you black bear diner in Cypress.

We have been to this location a few times and it is my sisters favorite breakfast spot in the area. This day it was not busy until we sat down which was really nice. Our waiter was very attentive and just all around great at his job. He found a pen for my niece to use to color since they were out of crayons. The food is truly just ok but very large portions at reasonable prices.

The portions here are huge for low cost! I had the chicken fried steak omelette and it was really good! The chicken fried steak inside was crispy and full of flavor. It comes with gravy on top, I wish I asked for extra gravy being that I'm a sauce person but I added some hot sauce instead and it was perfect. The grits was okay, I added a lot of butter to make the grits creamy since it came out a bit clumpy. My friend had eggs and biscuits. I don't normally like biscuits but this biscuit was actually really fluffy and buttery! The food was good but the service was slow... I also found it really weird for the waitress to take your cup to refill water. She walked around the entire restaurant with our cup before she refilled it and brought it back to our table. That's a huge red flag for me. I think the staff can use better training. The restaurant decor is cute, and lives up to the name of black bear diner. Huge diner vibes. It's cute.
