Billy Doc's Diner is a great breakfast and lunch place on the corner of H and Lycoming and an excellent place to grab a fantastic meal in a simple but clean environment. Breakfast options are great and a must try experience. I am a huge fan of pork roll, egg and cheese sandwiches for breakfast or an omelet. Home fries are okay, though could use a bit more seasoning. A very popular item on their menu is the "Hungry Man," which is two eggs, two pancakes, two strips of bacon, two sausage, home fries and coffee to wash it all down with. The prices are more than fair.Lunch is the usual assortment of items like burgers, club sandwiches, and, since it is Philadelphia, cheesesteak sandwiches. You really cannot go wrong with anything that you order here.Humble diners like this one have made cities like Philadelphia great. These humble restaurants have given sustenance to the hard working men and women who built these cities into greatness. Diners like this are where families gather to enjoy a meal and each other's company. We need to treasure these places.I definitely recommend a visit here. Whatever you have, you can't go wrong with.

Ate here twice, super duper unimpressed. Today I ordered an egg white omelette with Salmon, onions and peppers. What I got was a regular egg omelette dry ass potatoes with no seasoning (just potato and oil) and a piece of leathery salmon on the side. Not only did jawn not follow instructions - it wasn't even good. I just ate enough not to starve post workout. Oh and to top it all off - their food is low key pricey... I won't be back. If you're looking for mediocre breakfast food then this is your spot!

This place is a local favorite of a lot of people in my neighborhood. I was craving a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and that's why I came here. I ordered my sandwich on a long roll. Bacon egg and cheese with salt pepper and ketchup. Delicious ! I will be coming back to try a bigger breakfast meal another time. So I will be updating my review then

A favorite for weekend breakfast! Open super early, cheap, quick, friendly people. My only complaint is I wish the space was bigger & wish they sold real orange juice.

Came here with a friend who swore this was a good spot. Ummm maybe a decade ago or so but today was horrific. Coffee is bitter and weak, they charge 5.00 for two pieces of French toast, the eggs are out of a carton, the potatoes are frozen out of a bag, they put cheap syrup in the Aunt Jemima bottles as if no one can tell. That's just plain wrong. Real syrup eaters can taste the difference. Overall this place was a flop. I'm actually heading to another restaurant so that I can get some better food with real Aunt Jemima syrup.

Simply the worse serviceEver, I'm a local and I hate giving negative feedback , but for a small place that wasn't super busy having to wait for a refill of water of coffee is just unacceptable , the foodSat on the line for about 15 to 20 mins while we waited for the waitress to finish talking to another customer, the soup is always good the wildRice and chicken it's the only reason I go in and order take out because i know I won't get the service I expect at any other restaurant on any given day, the waitresses need to step their game up and take care of all their guests equally weather it is a party of six or two no one wants to wait to get served.

I love this diner. Very homie style. Staff are friendly. Diner is very clean and it can get full fast. Why, the food is soooo good. Really yummy just like grandmas cooking. I truly love home style cooked meals. It's nice and cool during the warm days. Restroom is decent. And their coffee tastes really good too. I love my coffee refills.

It's very unfortunate that I have to write this review. We have been going here for a long time and I do like this place. But we have been noticing that the amount on our bill doesn't match the prices on the menu. They never bring a bill to your table, they don't itemize on the bill when you go to the register, and they only tell you how much you have to pay. Finally, this morning, we decided to question the bill so the waitress put the amounts of our order (again did not itemize), mine was $15 when it should have been $13. Charges me $1 for rye toast and couldn't explain the other $1. I don't mind paying for my food but I DO Not APPRECIATE HIDDEN CHARGES that are not on the menu. This has been happening for a while so I'm so sad to say we will not be going back

me and a friend stopped in for breakfast I got the hungry man special 8.49 coffee included. My friend got 2 eggs bacon and home fries 5.75 and a coffee. My bill was 20.35. Exactly u do the math! We gave her 30.00 said keep the change even tho the service was horrible. I mean we came in no customers being attended to and waited ten min before she said anything then when she did acknowledge us we orders coffee first and even tho it was a lot and a half of coffee she dumped the half of pot then made a new pot before saving us out of the already made pot??? The worse.

loved it here until the cook completely disregarded my eggs because he couldn't understand how i wanted them made, then proceeded to get loud about how i should be ordering them. embarrassing and unprofessional.
