BIG Z's Pizza House & Brew

we had a 14 inch thick crust Chicago style white cheese pizza which was a stellar example of Big Z's pizza acumen. Amazing flavor from this deeeeeep crust! out first time a BIg Z'S so we had to try it. it did not disappoint....except being rather pricey.Out dining partners had a thin crust and it too was excellent and a more manageable price. Big Z's was in total disarray at 15:30 on a Saturday afternoon. they got crackin' and cleaned it up by 16:00 but our first impression was made.I'll go back for. deep dish red-sauced pizza.I docked the. a star for the disarray and pricing, but every pizza-head should at least give them a go!

I visited for the first time on a Thursday evening. There were only 3 other parties in the restaurant. I sat at the bar and was welcomed by Tyler. He is Big Z's son! Inside the place looked like your typical sports bar but with chicago and Houston teams. I ordered the big Zs special plus pepperoni deep dish. The waitress let me know itll be a while for the deep dish so I ordered some meat balls. The meatballs came out within 7 mins. The first bite was AMAZING. The meatballs were covered in homemade tomato sauce which was to die for! The meatball itself had a nice crispy crunch on the outside. The Big Zs deep dish was everything I expected. Melted cheese, perfect texture, and of course the amazing tomato sauce. My only complaint is that there wasn't more sauce! Highly recommended! Support your local pizzeria family owned and operated!

We absolutely love this restaurant.The food is outstanding and you get what you paid for. The Chicago style pizza is so thick and tasty, just as it should be. We also tried their new wings and wow! Wow is the perfect word to describe them. They are crunchy and full of flavor. We also tried their parmesan fries and I must say, they rock! We recently also went for lunch and they have wonderful lunch specials. I just live great lunch specials. One of the best thing about this place is the customer service. You walk in about feel like family. Everyone talks to you and you never have to worry about running out of a drink or food.

Had been craving a Chicago deep dish pizza and was looking in town for some places and had gotten a couple of suggestions from friends. One of my buddies is from Chicago and told me, "This place is the real deal", and how do you argue with that? My only issue is that this place is in Katy and 45 mins from me so it took some planning to be able to make the trip.Got there early so we could be the first ones there since Chicago deep dish can take 30 mins or so to get cooked and served. The restaurant opened a little late so that had us scared that maybe they were no longer in business. We called and spoke with someone and they said they were there and just running behind.We got in and I wanted to try a chili cheese dog before getting to pizza. I know that's not a Chicago staple but I like the Vienna brand franks and wanted one. It was really good. The staff there was really friendly. We chatted a bit and we learned they're a family from Chicago. Can't remember the owner's name but he was really cool. The pizza came out and of course it was super delicious.Outside of delicious food, great friendly service, and a clean, comfortable atmosphere, I'm not sure what else to say. Go try it for yourself. There is genuine Chicago deep dish pizza in Houston.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. This is my new favorite Katy restaurant & might even be my favorite spot in the HTX area. And I'm a fattie so that isn't said in jest. I went to try it out one day got the deep dish and was like Okkayyyy I see yall...went back to have the thin crust & was like aightttt 2 for 2...then had the pan crust & then realized they were batting 1000. TVs everywhere for the games, good bar atmosphere with plenty of quality beers on tap. I've now made it my food mission to try everything on the menu...now I'm on the sandwiches...I saw someone order the ribeye steak sandwich & just smell the alone made me crave one. This place is SOLID...don't let any "bad review" deter you from this place as the reviewer is either a negative person or a beyond picky eater...this place is a 10 out of 10...the gravy (marinara for ya southerners/non italians) is home made like dang near everything....tha meatballs!!! I could go on and on. FN A bros & bettys...FN A. Come on!!!

This is NOT Chicago Deep DishAppearance**The pie is supposed to be as thick as the crust. The crust is not supposed to be an inch high and the ingredients are as flat as day old Pepsi.Taste*Come on people. That sauce is way too acidic and under developed. The crust is doughy and under in spots. I have never had a pie this bad in Chicago or Detroit when eating deep dish.

Best freaking pizza Ever! The owner Mike was so amazing so welcoming great guy! Dining area was so clean very big, great place to just have some good food! Just get out there and try people. Tell Big Mike, Jorge sent you.!

Absolutely amazing pizza! The crust, sauce, and cheese are perfect! Definitely will be coming back!
