Better Luck Tomorrow

This was my first time eating here since their recent remodel/rebrand and I am sad to say that I was disappointed. :-( I ordered the mussels & fries and it was very well cooked, but the broth it came with was just wayyy too salty. The first few bites were great but towards the end the roof of my mouth felt so scratchy from the salt. The broth is very rich and flavorful, and would have been perfect with less salt. We also ordered the buttermilk battered onions which were also great the first few bites but became intolerable towards the end because of the amount of salt. Service was good as usual!

Overall, a solid place for brunch/lunch. The service I felt was a bit slow but the ambiance was chill/casual and a nice outdoor area to catch up with friends. We started off with the parmesean fondue fries with egg on top. The fondue was tasty! I got the fried chicken sandwich. It was quite messy but pretty delicious! The honey sauce is good and the chicken is crispy! I just wasn't absolutely wowed and also the service was a bit slow which is why I'm giving 4 !

Love this spot. This is my top 10 fav brunch spots in Houston for food and just the love of brunch. Cute spot too. The servers scare me but like in that cool way. Hate to say but their bacon sucks. But it's so fine they make up for it in their drinks. Parking lot also sucks but it's kinda the area so you just gotta deal with it in that neighborhood.

Went here for their happy hour yesterday and I loved it!! The vibes were cute and laid back, I loved the patio seating as well. The happy hour specials were awesome as well, I will be back here again.

What a cool place! Hubby and I wanted to try something new for date night. BLT had such great reviews that we just HAD to check it out.It's not very big so it's a good thing we arrived early. We cozied up to the bar to be able to watch the Texans v Colts game. The bartender was suuuuuper cool. Very inviting and sweet. They have an extensive cocktail menu! We ordered a couple cocktails and some apps (meatballs and crab cakes). Wow! Delish! We pretty kept ordering and enjoying different cocktails during the game. Our bartender, Lorenzo, was fantastic. The crowd was fun. And the Texans won! It was a great date night at BLT!

I met my friends here on Saturday around 6, the parking lot was almost completely full but we were able to be seated immediately. The patio seating was really nice and relaxing. It was full but we were able to carry a great conversation. We ordered the meatballs for the table and it came with some FANTASTIC garlic bread. It was delicious. I ordered the salmon steak and frites, the salmon was well seasoned and cooked and the fries were actually delicious, very crunchy and yummy. My friends also enjoyed their plates, the fried chicken sandwich and the hangar steak (I think I'll try the steak next time.)The cocktail menu looked super fun, and I'd love to be able to come back and try during their happy hour, when I remember my ID

Boy oh boy! When it comes to happy hour this spot is PERFECT! 3pm-5pm M-F Half Off ALL drinks! And their drinks are the BOMB! Also I love a good smash burger, but their regular style burger is soooo good! It was juicy and had the perfect sauce to cheese ratio. Also my favorite drink is the spice girl!

I really enjoyed having a peaceful afternoon on the porch of Better luck tomorrow. The weather was perfect, and the drinks were fabulous. I had 2 different gin mixed drinks. One was the Meyer lemon Frappe, and the other is called the salty cat. Both were so refreshing, and the fact that they left a water bottle was just as great. I didn't know what to order, and it seemed like the menu contained a ' not so ordinary' bar menu. I opted to try some apps just to try it out. The service was good, but I feel like it took a bit long for me to order, but I attribute it to the menu transitioning time between brunch and the afternoon menu. I hadn't had oysters in a while, so I tried the seasonal fresh oysters, which were great, the pickled veggie dish with cheese, and some corn on the Cob. I was pleasantly satisfied yet not overwhelmingly full. I had such a great low key experience listening to my podcasts and some great treats. A must try for a good weather afternoon!

Better luck tomorrow is a great neighborhood bar. The food selection is a bit more elevated than what you would exact - Mussels, Shrimp, etc but they also serve fries and fried onions (which were fantastic).the drinks themselves were ok, nothing that is going to win an award but didn't feel like they served me koolaid.I felt comfortable bringing my daughter with me but I would not say they are kid friendly. Definitely kid neutral which is what one should anticipate when going to a bar. One of the better bars to go to for a full meal. The 4 stars is due to the fact that service can be a bit slow.

Slow service, bad food, but cute patio and mid drinks. Sat near the front of the patio by the entrance and still was hardly tended to. We would've ordered multiple rounds of drinks but our waitress literally didn't come over. When I went to the restroom I saw her literally just mingling at the bar and was a bit bothered since we were just not helped much at all. I got the roasted cauliflower small plate and the chicken liver mousse. Both bad. The cauliflower flavor was flat and mostly just dill. The chicken liver mouse was way too vinegar-y - maybe from the little pickles on top - and the sourdough it was served on was dry. Would not recommend this bar lol there's plenty better options.
