I had the pleasure of hanging out here with 2 friends. Large, clean space with very friendly staff.Everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they ordered and we will definitely return!They have a large bar area with TV's, which is great to watch your favorite sports teams as well as enough space for group events. We stopped in to Benny the Bum's crab house & bar while here in Philadelphia. Always one of our favorite restaurants, we really looked forward to dining there again. So my wife chose the fried shrimp with broccoli and sautéed spinach while my pick was the fried shrimp with broccoli and seasoned fries. The food was piping hot coming out of the kitchen but the smell and the taste of it made the whole dining experience well worth it. The menu items have stayed pretty much the same but it was priced higher than what it was from the last time we ate here. Always great food and service at any price! So glad we went back.

My boyfriend and I were in the Bensalem area- we had a taste for some oysters and benny the bums popped up on google so we tried it. We ordered Fried Calamari, oysters and the lump crab meat penne pasta. The service was pleasant. The lady that answered the phone was super helpful and friendly. When we went to pick up our order- we had no issues or wait time. The food is where it gets a little bad. The best part was the calamari. It was cooked perfectly! The oysters were good, but we kept getting pieces of the shell which completely ruined them. The pasta was dry. Maybe the pasta soaked up all the sauce, but it also just tasted very bland. I would try this place again, but I would dine in instead of doing take out because maybe per request some of this food could've been salvaged.

Local restaurant that I never noticed and wouldn't give much looking from the outside. But the food is delicious and the staff were friendly. The food arrived quickly and to be quite honest it tasted far better than expected. Will most likely be returning. Ps. Try the caramelized salmon! Absolutely delicious!

I have to say that Benny the bums has gone down hill each year it gets worse ! I use to go at lease 3 to 4 times a week . There is no control over children they are in the bar area the parents are to busy talking to care how the children are behaving !!! The children are Loud and the parents even louder. This place use to be a nice place to go to have dinner or a cocktail ! I have notice that fewer people are going now . And the owner seam. To care less ? I have drop my time there to once a week or once every other week ! I don't suggest you go there if possible ! This not a sport bar but a low scale neighborhood bar!

What can I say about Bennie's. Been going there for years. I've said to people even the napkins taste good ambience is very nice clean quaint, quiet, except Fridays and Saturdays. When a great DJ comes in and plays while you eat full staffed bar full staffed restaurant. Waitresses Amy and manager Amanda do a fantastic job but my favorite is Veronica. If you head out there, make sure you ask for either three of them order the buffalo shrimp, the homemade chowders, a bum salad and the baked wings. These things are among my favorite. I take home a container of either chowder or the Caesar dressing, which is all made in house and absolutely delicious. Portions are great. Drinks are fast and always perfect if you're in the north east and you're looking for a great seafood place look no further than Bustleton and red lion.

Always a great experience. The service was great. I ordered buffalo shrimp and my fav crab pasta in blush sauce with a side of shrimp added!

Amelia, our waitress, is AMAZING!!! She gave us specials, specialty days, recommended great choices. The portion sizes are great. This is MY new seafood addiction!!

They had ROACHES. The food was VERY bland. They messed up my grandmas order and gave her RAW chicken and tried to charge us 200. Although the customer service was great dealing with roaches while eating was not.
