Beautiful ambiance, impeccable service, incredible food. We opted for the wagyu upgrade and it was the best decision we made. We also opted out of the pairings but requested they surprise us with vodka based cocktails that paired well whatever we were eating at the time and were blown away by the creativity and taste of what was brought to us. Such a wonderful experience and menu, we will absolutely be back again!

This was indeed a 5-star experience. Another Michillin star restaurant that I have had the pleasure of visiting. My friend has been coming to Beckon for some time now, and we decided to make a trip to Denver to dine in. The price is fine dining, which you pay upfront with your resy. The place looks like a hidden bungalo turned restaurant, very intimate. Especially the chefs counter, where you can see all the action. Chef Duncan Holmes has captured a relaxed atmosphere with a straight forward point of view on food. Service - was great. All the servers were great. I feel like we got personalized service because our friend is a frequent patron. The chef even served us a couple of dishes and spoke to us briefly. Food - there's a seasonal tasting menu. All of the dishes were unique and complex. I loved how well thought out each dish was. I could tell intention, and a love for depth of flavor was in each dish. I left full and satisfied enough to justify the expense. Below are the dishes. -Speciality cocktail- hibiscus, chrysthemum & cherry.-Lobster, fennel & trout roe-Cherry tomatoe, basil, saladBurnet-Corn, celtuce & sorghum-Tilefish, clam & potatoe-Scallop, chicken & marigold- Duck, chanterrelle mushrooms & peach- Black cod, nappa cabbage & mustard seed- Cucumber, versus & black mint- Plum, shiso & szechuan - Flavors of cherry

We went here hoping to have a fun time, enjoy some amazing tasting menu dishes, and share some creative and fun drinks. We were extremely dissapointed. We've both been to numerous gourmet restaurants with testing menus before, this is by far the worst we've ever been to. We paid $900 for two people (food + cocktail pairing) and this is what we got:- Service: 2/10. Boring, transactional, somber, robotic, dry, uninspired. It's as if the staff was told never to smile, crack a joke, relate to their guests, or show any sort of personality whatsoever. - Food: 5/10. Although, some dishes we're fantastic, they were hardly enough to fill a single spoon. Most dishes were quite frankly not special at all. We left hungry and went somewhere else to eat right after. It's a tasting menu, I understand, and this would have been acceptable if the rest of the experience was anywhere close to satisfactory.- Hospitality: 1/10. While we were making the best of it, we we're clearly not having a great time. Regardless, the wait staff never once went out of their way to try to ask us how we were enjoying everything or if we had any preferences or requests. It was the definition of robotic and transactional. For $900, I think your guests deserve something more.- Drinks: 1/10. I'm sorry, this was completely unacceptable in terms of a cocktail pairing. Every single "cocktail" was simply a pre-mixed, yellow-mustard-colored liquid poured into a wine glass. Not a single cocktail came with garnishment, ice, decor or absolutely anything that could even be confused with an inspired pairing. I simply could not believe this was their standard for cocktails. We went to a very average bar right after this, asked for a paloma, and it came with grapefruit slice, orange zest, jalepeno and a large cube of ice in a neat little low-ball. Never once did a single cocktail at Beckon have anywhere near that level of care. It was simply a bottle of home-made, pre-mixed liquor poured into an empty wine glass, and every single cocktail looked exactly the same. - Value: 0/10. After spending $900 on pre-mixed cocktails and unsatisfying dishes that left us hungry, they had the nerve to ask us if we wanted to spend $200 more on wagyu beef. An upsell, on a $900 meal, after you've just served me a bowl of 4 cherry tomatoes, is the biggest slap in the face I could imagine. This single act tells you everythnig you need to know about this restaurant. - OVERAL: 2/10. If you want to go out to a great dinner, go to a place like Guard and Grace where the wait staff takes care of you, the drinks are made with care and inspiration, and the food served is well worth the price paid.

Finally tried this one star Michelin restaurant! Amazing food and the service was attentive and wonderful. We sat in the sommeliers salon which was a private room between the two main rooms. It was private, quiet, and so nice. Since we were by ourselves each course was a surprise since we didn't have to be sitting around other people. The lighting was so nice and the chair was comfortable. The courses were nicely paced. We had a couple cocktails and one wine pairing. The cocktails were very nicely crafted I especially enjoyed the gin one and also the hot dessert cocktail was superb! Out of all the food I especially enjoyed the danish picnic, cherry tomatoes, the tile fish, wagyu, the ice with cream palate cleansers, and plum and shiso dessert. Apparently the pork chop was mind blowing. They were very careful about allergies. The stuffed cabbage was an interesting dish and a vegetarian/allergies alternative. It was good but the cabbage skin was tough and difficult to eat. I loved the cherry tomatoes dish but it was so hard to eat the delicious oil at the bottom a different plate would have been better. The duck was good, but I found the flavor to be a bit livery and the fat was chewy. The beet dish was surprisingly very flavorful and delicious this was also an alternative. The welcome drink was very delicious. Wish there was less ice and more drink. The cherry profiterole needed more filling. The pate de fruit which is something I don't usually like was very delicious. Bonbon was good not mind blowing. I thought the shell on the outside was too soft. The wine pairings all worked very well. The sommelier was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Personally thought the pours were a bit light compared to other dining experiences I've had at restaurants of similar caliber. Wagyu add on was worth it and really delicious. However the price was so expensive compared to what I'm used to seeing when in Japan and so it's only worth it if you've never had it or this is an exceptionally special occasion. All the servers were attentive and friendly. Napkin was always folded when I got back to the table. Would highly recommend and go back.

Really fun spot for a celebration - we came for a birthday. You sit around the chefs and get to watch them plate all the food. Dinner took 2.5 hours because there were so many courses - sometimes Michelin star meals are too "weird and deconstructed" for me but not beckon! Just elevated food cooked really well- I loved the lobster, scallop, pork, duck. The service was perfect. I didn't love the cotton candy dessert but everything else was amazing.

Beckon Denver: A Birthday Celebration to Remember!I'm still reeling from the extraordinary experience at Beckon Denver! This exceptional restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way, making my birthday celebration truly unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, the service was impressively perfect. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, guiding us through the menu with expert recommendations. And the food? Absolutely sublime! Each plate was a masterclass in flavor, texture, and presentation. The turnip dish was a standout, with its tender, sweet, and earthy goodness. Every bite was a delight, and we couldn't wait to see what the next course would bring. The sommelier's selection of the 1978 Blandy's Madeira Terrantez was inspired. This exquisite wine paired perfectly with our final course, its nutty, caramel flavors, and velvety smoothness, the ideal complement to our meal.Beckon Denver's commitment to using only the finest ingredients and innovative techniques shines through in every dish. The attention to detail, the passion for excellence, and the warm hospitality make this restaurant a true gem.If you're looking for a special occasion spot or simply a night of exceptional dining, Beckon Denver is the place to go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Five stars , a million stars... it's a culinary experience that will leave you beaming!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When your girlfriend's boss tells her to go somewhere nice for a dinner for 2 due to a very successful project she was in charge of, you go to a Michelin star restaurant. I have always wanted to go to a Michelin star restaurant so when this opportunity presented itself, it was too good to pass up.We experienced The Long Night Moon quarterly menu concept that ran 10/2023 to 12/2023. As mentioned before, this was my first experience at a Michelin star restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed the seasonally rotating menu concept. Along with The Long Night Moon, we also added the non-alcoholic drink pairing which pairs a unique drink with almost every course. I would HIGHLY recommend adding the drink pairing as it was evident that careful thought was put into how the drinks and the courses would complement each other. The food and drinks were amazing. At first, there were a few courses that I was not entirely sold on, but my girlfriend informed me that restaurants like these provide an experience as well as a meal so the different courses are presented in an intentional order. After knowing that, everything made sense and I was completely sold. The first few courses were light and simpler while the latter courses were heavier and complex (check out my photos). The drinks that accommodated the courses either enhanced flavors in the food or masked certain flavors that may be too intense for some. Again, I cannot recommend the drink pairing enough.A true experience would not be complete without amazing service and Beckon hit the nail on the head. There was not a single time that we were unsatisfied with the timing of anything. In fact, we were made aware that the experience would take 2.5 hours total and it took exactly that much time when we received our check. Impressive. The ambiance of the restaurant is impeccable. We opted for a more intimate setting by sitting on the covered patio which we enjoyed but the indoor seating seemed very enticing as well for those looking for a more involved experience.I would highly recommend people looking for an unforgettable experience to spend an evening at Beckon. It will surely be a memory not to be forgotten easily.Unfortunately, Yelp only allows up to 10 pictures to be uploaded per review (I took 23 pictures). I selected pictures that I believe were the most representative of my experience to be uploaded along with this review.

Went here for my birthday last year and we couldn't have picked a better spot! We heard this place got a Michelin star now that they are giving those to Colorado restaurants, but we came before it was awarded one. Book your reservation far in advance and be prepared for a long, intricate meal. Chef's table is a must so that you can watch the food being prepped and plated. I loved every single dish, but the tomato basil gummy was one of my favorite things I tasted.

Food:Truly incredible. The thing I really loved about the journey of food here is that it's all very approachable food, but elevated. 99% of the items were things I would have ordered off an a la carte menu somewhere -- they were just elevated and of the highest quality. Everything was melt in your mouth. My favorite dish was the yellowtail in tomato water. Sounds basic but it was truly delicious, balanced/bold flavors. The desserts were amazing too.Service: Very high caliber. Kind. Attentive. My main complaint is that I thought the food came out at very very slow pace. I understand this type of thing at fancier restaurants but I felt this was just a bit too slow. We were pretty hungry for the first hour+ we were there.Ambience: We stayed at the one table in the "sommelier saloon". It was an interesting spot. They very much warn you when you reserve that this spot is "mere steps away from the chef's counter. An entertaining choice for diners who don't mind being in the midst of the action." I took that as much closer to the chefs counter than it really is. It's definitely not a great place for someone that gets distracted easily because it's the hot spot for all the servers to walk/stay in and out of constantly. Overall we had a fine time but wouldn't stay in this spot again. The garden is much much warmer/nicer than I expected. I would definitely stay out there next time! Even in the winter.

The attentive and knowledgeable staff made our last night in Denver a memorable one.The food was truly amazing and excellent kitchen team who present their dishes at the table with well earned pride. The sommelier was knowledgeable and provided great advice, we opted for a bottle suited to most courses rather than the pairing & it was perfect. There are two dining areas, an internal counter top open kitchen area and the cosy enclosed patio area, where we were seated. Both lovely spaces. An amazing dining experience, well worth the money.
