Great local neighborhood Middle Eastern / Fusion restaurant! So many great options to choose from - food or drink!Pretty big restaurant with wine bar next door. Ambiance was definitely a vibe, plus they had a DJ on Saturday night. Service was pretty quick and food came out as ready. Will definitely comeback if I'm ever in town.

We attended a wedding at this restaurant, and from the moment we walked in, we were amazed. The place settings, decorations, and the entire ambiance were beautiful and calming, with charming touches from lamps ship from Bali, the cabinets were ship from Italy and lanterns in the hallway were form some old hotel in Chicago that closed a while back leading to the bathrooms. The servers were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and excited, providing amazing service from beginning to end. They meticulously cleared tables, replaced dishes, and kept water jars filled. The food was phenomenal, with a delicious array of flavors that kept coming out perfectly timed, ensuring nothing got cold. The hors d'oeuvres were particularly impressive. If I had to choose a venue for a wedding, family gathering, or any celebration, this would be the place. The staff truly know what they're doing, making it a wonderful experience

I spent a weekend in Chicago on a girls trip and we were looking for somewhere to close our time before our flights. Beatnik caught our eye with their beautiful exterior. We came around 11 am and were easily able to get a table for brunch. Once you step inside you're transported to a beautiful garden with tons of plants and sky light. I wish my house looked like this. Not only was the decor amazing but the food was delicious too. I had the shaksuka which had excellent flavor and a good size. Our server was incredible too, very friendly & able to provide a great wine recommendation.Do not pass this place up for a great time!

The most cool environment with a delicious menu and great service. Our table tried a lot of dishes, the frosting on the cinnamon roll is so good, shashuka flavors are killer... chicken & waffle is perfect. Love the indoor outdoor vibes and the decor. Will definitely be back.

The ambiance was amazing. The decor and the music had such a cool vibe. The food was great for the most part. The verde mole Gnocchi was a super yummy dish. The lemon pie was a little too tart for me but was enjoyed by the table. It had small mangos spiced with Tajin. The steak was undercooked in some areas and over cooked in others. I asked for a medium and one end was more rare and the other end was well done. The service was great and the drinks were very tasty. I ordered a Pina Colada which came in a coconut. Thought it was great, I felt that the amount wasn't very much compared to if it came in a glass.

Welcome to your next vacation! From the moment you walk through the door at beatnik, you immediately feel like you've stepped into a Mediterranean escape. The eclectic decor transports you to an adventurous foodie experience. With a creative cocktail list and delicious dinner menu, your taste buds will most definitely not be disappointed. I'm doing a dry January so for this visit, I opted for one of there several non-alcoholic options. (But I'll be back to taste their other cocktails which I watched them make several and they look beautiful in creation and sound fantastic). I tried the snooze button which was a coffee lovers dream! For our meal we kicked off with the baba ganoush which was amazing! Beautifully plated but tasted even better than it looks. I love a dish that includes pomegranate seeds and pine nuts. To compliment our spread, we also ordered the ceviche which might be the best ceviche I've had anywhere in chicago. If you love tuna ceviche, this is a must try!For our main, we went with the steak kebab. Perfectly cooked and paired with walnut muhammara and chemen chimichurri. It's sure to satisfy your appetite. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We've always liked this place - great service and a beautiful bohemian ambiance, especially for fellow plant lovers! - but have only been for dinner, so we finally stopped in for brunch recently and absolutely devoured everything we ordered. If you haven't been for brunch, do yourself a favor and correct that! The GM, Evan is awesome - he came and introduced himself, walked us through the recently updated brunch menu, and showed us the new Good Funk natural wine bar space adjacent to the restaurant. For brunch we split the smoked salmon dip, mezze platter, avocado toast, chicken and waffles, and shakshuka (my personal favorite. get this with the sausage!!) The bread pudding as the brunch "dessert" was also melt-in-your-mouth good. Thanks Evan and team - my husband and I are already planning our next brunch date here!

The vibes here are great, as the decor whisks you away to a tropical paradise and leaves you feeling like you're on vacation and not in Chicago. However that's what you're paying for here, as the food leaves a bit to be desired. Small portions and very pricey. Drinks tasted watered down too. Went for brunch with a few friends and while flavorful my winter squash bowl left me feeling pretty hungry still which was frustrating considering the hefty price tag. Service was okay, definitely a little slow at times but they're busy during brunch so I understand. Would not be my first choice for brunch in the area but go for good vacation vibes if the Chicago winter blues got you feeling down.

I've been here a couple times now, both with groups larger than 6. The first time we received better service than the second time. The second to me was 6 days ago and the server was friendly, he just didn't come by nearly as often as he should've. The food is always pretty great. This time, I got the double cheeseburger and it was so juicy and delicious! The fries were good too. I also had a Saturn, which was their cocktail with gin, so refreshing! Parking is easy to find around this location.

The food was great, the vibe was amazing, and the service was great and helpful. I will say was very mad/unhappy with the girl host and the man host when you first walk in. It was my and my girls anniversary and I stated that in the notes when I make a reservation. They kinda had attitude and were not welcoming. My girl said to me she would have liked the couch when you first walk in to the right. There were two people sitting there and I guess he was a worker/owner/partner or something but he obviously was not doing business and was on a date of some kind.. They stated that it's only for large party's and that he is part of the restaurant. So I got upset and said that's not fair I'm a paying customer and I made a reservation too. The other couch we didn't get (only got what we wanted bc it was our anniversary and I was starting to get mad) was open the WHOLE time we stayed there! Also the girl host was so RUDE and threw our menus on the table and didn't say a word to us after and constantly looked at us idk if it was because I'm a women and so is my partner... that's my rant but yeah!
