BBQ Godfather

Just had what I like to call the rib platter and it was amazing. 3/4 lbs of ribs with a side of Mac and Cheese, and the ribs were flavorful and fell off the bone. I'll be back for more!!!!

Why 3 stars? Because everything was really heavy on the pepper. --- --- ---We had an amazing first experience from another truck at Deacon Baldy's, so I was really excited to try another one out. We hadn't had BBQ yet in our first couple weeks in Texas, so I was even more pumped for this meal.Unfortunately, we did not love it. We ordered a bunch of different things, but felt like most of it was unnecessarily spicy/peppery. The caveat is that I thought the ribs were perfectly cooked. And I mean perfectly. Some ribs are so "fall-off-the-bone" that they are like stew. Other ribs are so tough that you have to rip them off like beef jerky. But these were exactly as God intended.And while the ribs were not nearly as spicy as the other meat, we still would have preferred some different seasoning. With that being said, I would still order them again because of how well they were cooked. And they were very large.Next time we go to Deacon Baldy's, we will probably try another food truck, but it's nice to know I have a solid option for ribs close by.

Tony loves what he does, is very good at it and you can taste it!Burnt ends, melt in your mouth brisket, amazing ribs and some of the best pulled pork (very unique spices!) I've EVER put in my mouth. Get ready to pig out. Once you try it you will be back again and again. This place could turn a vegan into a carnivore

The brisket wasn't my thing. Some have seemed to like it on here, but it just seemed dry. Maybe it was just an off day? Others have seemed to enjoy it on here though.

Deacon's usual four trucks were set up and ready to rock along with a Thai food and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches - so many delicious smells in the air, but we came here for the Godfather.We put in our order (I love that the trucks give you a buzzer so that you can wonder off and get comfortable while waiting for you food) for two sliced brisket sandwiches on their hoagie-style bread and sides and were thankful to find a table empty enough to accommodate us and the pups - Deacon's stays busy! I stepped away from the table... Not to do what Mia from Pulp Fiction was doing but, like Mia, I love coming back to find my food waiting for me! The sandwich was as packed as the sitting area and so I took some slices off (save 'em for round two) and then I piled on onions, jalapenos, and the delicious BBQ sauce. The fresh onions and crisp hoagie was a nice texture along with the melt in your mouth brisket. My other half, Charlie M., did like their unusually mustardy take on potato salad, and so it was quickly devoured.Being able to enjoy BBQ and beer AND bring my pups? Count me in.

I'm not from around here so I consulted with yelp for a good BBQ place for lunch. Everybody seemed to like this place so I gave it a try.It's located at a really cool food truck park that has the vibe of a backyard BBQ with friends. Family friendly and dog friendly. Not sure about cats though.The BBQ was fantastic. I tend to judge a BBQ place by its chipped beef sandwiches. This place did it right. Even had a few burnt ends pieces in it. Not too fatty and not too lean. It was perfect with a robust smoke flavor. It comes with onion, pickle and jalapeño. No sides are included. I got a sweet potato casserole cup for $3.Only bad thing I can say is that I'm not a huge fan of the hoagie roll (I still prefer a soft bun over a chewy roll for my BBQ) and the prices are kind of high. And I wouldn't mind some cinnamon in that sweet potato but that's a little petty. Good BBQ and I'll be coming back for more. Give it a try.

I just got finished eating the bbq ribs and they were great. Some people may not like the medium spiciness of the ribs bit the sauce gives the ribs great balance. I judge ribs by the tenderness and taste with or without the sauce and the ribs are really good either way. The ribs are a little pricey but so is everything else at the moment and the price won't stop me from going back. The ribs are that good to me. Well done!

They've got some funny signs around their food truck. The food was phenomenal! I had the chopped brisket sandwich and it was so big I couldn't even finish it! It was sooooo good! The food came out hot and fresh. Definitely give them a try!

Came today to try this place ,went up the order line and realized no one was there but there were no "closed " signs . No one looks at you ,no one asks you for help .I asked another food truck next to them if they were open and he said yes they're open the owner or one of the employees is over there drinking . The owners back was not towards me he could see me standing there for over five minutes waiting . But decides to keep laughing with who ever he was sitting with.don't drink on the job it's so unprofessional .

This was my 1st time trying the BBQ Godfather. Food was very good. I had some burnt ends and flavor was good and exactly what I was wanting. The potato salad was also very good. I did ask for drinks and was informed that the drinks were at the bar. I proceeded to the bar to order a tea. The bartender informed me that tea was available at the BBQ truck. My buzzer sounded that my order was ready. I asked the only person working the truck for a tea. He told me he had a customer ahead of me, also I wasn't charged for a tea and I would have to wait. I understand he was working alone but I also did ask him for a drink when originally placing my order.!!!Food was good but service was lacking !!!
