Barra Rossa Ristorante

Really cool ambiance and feeling. Cozy and not over crowded. Great music but not too loud. Quality fast friendly service. Able to seat us without a reservation at 5:20pm on Saturday. The Pomegranate Manhattan was soooo good. I have been craving it since last weekend. Solid flavor of a Manhattan with a slight sweet after flavor. The Arancini is perfect. Wonderful crunchy outer layer with a creamy center. Perfect cheese pull. Garlic bread is ok. Not that crispy with lots of seasoning that's overpowering. The marinara with it is a bit bitter. The Gorgonzola Gnocchi was fabulous. The creamy gorgonzola flavor pairs perfectly with the fig glaze. The glaze is like a balsamic quality and consistency. Gnocchi is a little mushy but good. It's a very rich dish. Penne Norma is good. Fresh basil flavor in pesto. Good combo of fresh veggies that pair well with the sauce. Penne is well cooked. Marg pizza was ok. I like the thinness and crust. The sauce is a little bitter and wasn't cooked enough so it was a bit doughy.

Barra Rossa is a great place if you're looking to eat out with a large group of people. They have ample room to host large parties making it an ideal place for work happy hours. The service was good too. The food was brought out relatively quickly and our waters were constantly filled.I only had the pizza there and it was pretty good pizza. The pizza isn't the best pizza in Philly, but it's enjoyable. Their menu is large and safe for many people to enjoy. I enjoyed my mushroom pizza, but they added your regular portobello mushrooms (or something similar). The stinger pizza and the Buffalo chicken pizza were also fine. The stinger has Sopressata, a variety of cheeses, and hot honey. I wish they drizzled more hot honey to add more flavor. Overall, everything is pretty enjoyable to eat. Barra Rossa is targeted for large groups of people where you can share multiple pizzas and try a little bit of everything

Love this place!! Food is incredible!! Pizza and artichoke dip is the best I have had in Philly! Ambiance is great. Definitely recommend

Came during restaurant week and they have a great menu selection. The customer service is unmatched. My toddler fell asleep in her stroller and the hostess and manager were so accommodating. It was hard to find a table that could fit the stroller out of the way of guest but they really went out of their way to make it possible. Truly appreciated all their help! Our waiter was very nice and quick. The food was delicious and fresh. We found street parking that was only a 2 min walk. The restaurant had a really cozy and peaceful vibe. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant.

A coworker and I stopped in here as a last-minute decision, because SweetGreen across the street, didn't have anywhere to sit and we wanted to sit for a meal. Not a good choice. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because we had a nice waitress and did have a nice place to sit. I only ate as much of my food (pictured) because I was hungry and wouldn't be able to eat for the next couple hours. This was the most bland food I think I've ever had in a restaurant. The meatballs almost tasted like chemicals, and everything was lukewarmat best. I had to get up and search for salt to at least get some sort of taste.

I enjoyed going to this establishment for Happy Hour!Great Menu and they also have Vegan options as well!The service was attentive and the offerings I chose was the calamari and meatballs.The calamari was done well..the meatballs could use some seasoning!What moved this review from 3 stars to 4 stars was the drinks! We'll done with the Jefferson Lemonade drink--Tasty!Overall, good experience!

18/30. Feels very copy and paste and doesn't excel in any one area. Drinks were good. Food menu had a lot on it but nothing quite lived up to how it sounded (although it wasn't as far off as I'm making it sound).

The fried calamari is a great (and tasty) deal to split between 2 people. The servers were friendly and the food came out extremely fast. It is a little dark inside if you are dining for dinner.

I really dig their GF crust. Salumi's the current favorite but they have a slew of gluten free selections.

No draft beers for happy hour but cocktails were very goodArancini has no rice. Kinda just a cheese ball Vibes normal to goodPrices a little high for a happy hour
