Paella Salvaje Rating: (5/5)Chicken: The succulent chicken pieces, tender and infused with saffron, lend a comforting familiarity to the paella. Each bite reveals the warmth of tradition.Pork Loin: Ah, the pork loin--its richness balances the seafood beautifully. It's like a savory bridge connecting land and sea.Pork Belly: The crispy, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly adds decadence. Its fat renders into the rice, creating pockets of flavor.Chickpeas: These little gems hide within the grains, offering delightful surprises. Their nutty texture complements the other ingredients.Eggs: The sunny-side-up eggs crown the paella, their golden yolks ready to burst. Break them open, and watch the magic unfold.Pro Tip: Mix it all together with the sangria and wine the ambiance and vibe of the place is great for an evening with friends. Service was pretty good as well. In summary, the Paella Salvaje celebrates the wild, the familiar, and the unexpected. ¡Buen provecho!

Great experience!! Came here for a date night with my husband for the first time. Easy to make reservations. Our server Nate was really attentive and helpful at explaining things. We got the Brussels sprouts, sweet potato r hummus, olives, and empanadas. We ordered the chicken plate and it was so delicious- all of our food was good. Nate recommended a great Red wine for us. The only drawback was the noise level in the restaurant. Very loud so hard to communicate with each other.

Barcelona has a wonderful atmosphere with very welcoming staff! I would say if you are parked in a time sensitive spot you should keep in mind that Barcelona stays extremely busy and the wait times can be longer than expected. That being said, we did wait 40 minutes past our reservation time but our amazing server, Alexis, made up for that! We got a few different tapas (the Brussels sprouts and the mussels were our favorites) and a bottle of wine to share. They have an extensive wine list where they list the varietals and origin of the wine, super helpful!Of course, If you find yourself needing a sweet treat to end your night, we highly recommend the olive oil cake. Overall we will definitely be back, thank y'all for making our date night special

Ordered a Paloma with Tapas; Patatas Bravas (Aka potatoes with sauce) & Gambas Al Ajillo. (Shrimp in butter garlic spicy oil). Good start!Everything came out steaming hot with an awesome presentation. Service at the bar is great. 3 bar tenders that are attentive and focused on the customers. The rest of staff seem to be on their game also. This place does not disappoint. Still one of my favorite places to hit when visiting Raleigh. Cheers!

100% recommend. The food far out paces the prices and I would come here on a Tuesday or for a celebratory dinner. The whipped sheep's cheese made us feel the presence of our lord and savior and the croquetas made us commune with his son. Carter was amazing guiding us through the wine menu to dessert. Seriously schedule your next treat yo self night here. Your wallet and tummy will not be disappointed.

Barcelona is my go to tapas bar and restaurant in Raleigh. It's a great place to go for a bite solo, or with a group. Be sure to get a reservation if you're going with a group on the weekend! I really enjoy the pulpo when it's available. This visit it was not, so I opted for scallops instead! They were cooked perfectly. Complemented them with grilled asparagus, which was delicious and cooked well (consistency on point), and the salty cod buñuelos. Also delicious, with a bit of tangy (tartar-like) sauce on the side. For dessert, I always turn to the olive oil cake! Solid. The bar staff at Barcelona is always super friendly and helpful and they're also a big reason I continue to come back!

My friends and I had a great dinner at Barcelona Wine Bar but this was definitely a restaurant for a special occasion considering how pricey everything was. Service was good and ambiance was lively! To drink, we got the white wine sangria which was sweet but really good.We started off with the Aperitivo Board which was a great sampler board with patatas bravas, eggplant and peppers caponata, various cheeses, and various charcuterie meats. I really liked the eggplant. We really liked the patatas bravas and ended up getting another order. We also got the broccolini, calamari, queso de trufa, beef short rib, and paella salvaje.Out of everything, I would not get the calamari again as it was really chewy and dry. Everything else was delicious. The beef short rib in particular was melt in your mouth, but such a tiny portion! For dessert, we got the chocolate cake, which was tasty, but the texture was actually a lot softer than we were expecting. It was kind of like a soft chocolate lava cake without the lava.

Okay this place is amazing! Seriously! Everything we had was absolutely delightful. TONS of options, great serving sizes, reasonable prices. It's located downtown Raleigh, parking is to be expected in this area. You may get lucky and snag a spot on the street or in a gravel lot, but if not there's the Dillon parking deck right next door (it's expensive but convenient). The outside is so cute and cozy, with tons of greenery and patio heaters. Probably even better in warmer weather. And the inside is rustic, refined, and everything a wine bar should be. It can get VERY tight in here due to crowds, and general lack of waiting area, but it's not a small place. The bar is actually pretty big. We made reservations about a month ago for a larger party. It turned out to be less than anticipated so I called to update and save them some trouble. I'm glad I did! They needed every seat they had. Our waiter was absolutely amazing (shoutout Darcy) and very kind and patient with us. His computer lost our order and he was probably frustrated but never showed it. Super nice guy. Due to the crowd, the food was a little slow to come out but not terribly. We ordered a ton of stuff and it came out a few at a time. One of our party's order got lost and they comped it for her. Totally understandable with the crowd! Here's what we ordered (everything was delicious, stars indicate a must try!)Drinks: Alebrijes*Bourbon Spice Rack (my favorite)White Sangria*Red SangriaLaird's LaneVirgin MargGlass of Azul y Garranza (Tempranillo)Tapas:****Jamon & Manchego Croquetas (MUST!! Order)*Chorizo with Sweet & Sour Figs*Patatas Bravas Broccolini *Braised Pork RibsMussels Charcuterie *Chocolate Cake CrepasTruthfully, I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. It's a must dining experience, and I cannot wait to go back!

Barcelona Wine Bar is my favorite place in Raleigh. Beautiful design, great service and excellent high quality food. But this review is about the awesome Manager, Mark. He came to our table several times while we were celebrating 2 birthdays to ensure everything was great. He sent us a special treat which was so unexpected but really appreciated. He made our dining experience even more memorable by treating us extra special last night. It's a rare thing today to find people who go above and beyond what is expected especially in a restaurant. Thank you Manager Mark and the Barcelona staff for a great evening!Keep up the great work. We will be back
