Barcelona Wine Bar Passyunk

This was my first dining experience at Barcelona Wine bar! I arrived with my husband and daughter first before the rest of the party arrived. The staff was very nice and let us sit down early. They brought over a high chair and some coloring pages/crayon for my daughter. The rest of our party arrived and we started ordering an assortment of tapas, a seafood paella and a meat board.The FOOD! Absolutely amazing and fresh. The best of the best: The spicy beef empanada! Great flavor from the beef with flakiness of the empanada so delicious,The octopus was tender and juicy, the seafood paella was the absolute star of the show and the meat board we had was spot on (seasoned well!). The restaurant was also very beautiful inside and the vines were just immaculate. We loved our group dinner and can't wait to come back again :)

One of my favorite restaurants in Philly. The food, atmosphere, and service is amazing. It's a tapas restaurant so you can order lots of small plates to share. My favorites were the jamon manchego croquetas bacon-wrapped dates, whipped sheep's cheese, albondigas, and potatoes. I really love the modern industrial ambience. It's very hip and trendy and there's even a large patio with lots of plants and greenery. I can't say enough good thing about this place. I will definitely be coming back!

I've been to Barcelona Wine Bar in several different cities and have never been disappointed with the food, drinks or service at any of them. Can get loud when the restaurant is busy, but that doesn't take any from the atmosphere as a whole. If you have celiac, this is a wonderful place to go as the staff is very knowledgeable, the choices are abundant and delicious.

We were blown away by how good the food and service were. Can't believe it has taken us this long to try this place out! The wine list and cocktail list is large and has really good options. We were happy to see Vinho Verde on the white wine list. The tapas were exceptional and we also shared the pork belly paella which was very delicious. The ambiance was perfect for our little date night.

I really liked the ambiance of this place & our waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered a bunch of different food and shared it amongst our whole table, which seems to be what most people do here. Most of the food we ordered was great, but our group especially loved the bacon-wrapped dates, the calamari and the olive oil pancakes. I would recommend asking for the sauces on the side for the calamari and the potatoes because it does come on top otherwise. My friend ordered the Herloom Tomato salad because she was intrigued by the grilled peaches that come on it. When she received it, she didn't see a single peach so our waitress went in the back to be told that they actually have no peaches, which we thought was a bit strange to not mention to your staff before anyone orders it. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the experience. We will probably come back.

Since coming back from Spain, I have been craving for the delicious food and Sangria. Barcelona is the perfect spot to transport me back there.I definitely recommend making a reservation. It was almost full on Tuesday night. Our waiter Jeremy was very nice and attentive. He made sure everything was ok and refilling the olive oil dipping. Red wine sangria is great just like the one I had in Sevilla. The white one sangria is sweeter. I prefer the red one.Complimentary bread is so light just like an angel food cake with a crunchy crust. It soakes up the good quality olive oil that comes with it.Albóndigas: meatballs are tasty with flavorful sauce. I didn't leave any of the sauce by soaking the bread. Eggplant caponata: sweet slices of tender eggplant and red peppers with the sauce. I love it. Boquerones are not too acidic. I really enjoyed it.Gambas al ajillo are pretty good too.Fried calamari has light batter with some aioli dipping. Patata Bravas: The aioli is the key to a good bravas and Barcelona doesn't disappoint me. Potato has a nice crunch and the aioli is really addicting. Overall everything was excellent.

I don't even know where to begin with this place. I've had this spot on my list for a while now. It kept getting recommended to me, and I'm so happy I pulled the trigger to come here for date night.The service here is right on. I made a reservation, and I got seated immediately after checking in with the hostess. The waiters/waitresses are kind, attentive, and accommodating. Our waiter helped us decide on some menu items, and he didn't steer us wrong at all, lol. All of his recommendations slapped. Speaking of which, the food was PHENOMINAL. We ordered 4 tapas (small plates) and 1 large plate. We got the paella mariscos, steak paillard, chicken thigh, patatas bravas, and grilled asparagus. ALL OF IT WAS BUSSIN!! My advice is if you're going to order a large dish? Do it early cause they take 30 mins to come out. The small dishes (tapas) come out really quickly. All in all, the bill came out to about $120 with tip, and I can't wait to come back :) Come check it out!

We love this place. We've returned a bunch of times - always with different friends and we are never disappointed. I stumbled upon this photo of their paella. It takes a little longer for the presentation- but it's well worth the wait. Ambiance is always great, staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First time in and it was a great experience! They have a dedicated fryer for celiac which is always highly appreciated! Our server (Christina, I believe) was kind and did a good job of taking care of our table. all the food was very tasty and flavorful, I especially loved the mushrooms! the sheep's cheese complimented the watermelon, mint and honey quite well and it was a great little hot day snack. cute place and they have indoor and outdoor seating area which are both cute. the bathrooms were clean as well. Overall great experience and I will definitely be going back for more mushrooms!

Always a Philly fav for me! So busy tonight! Weren't able to be seated at our Rez time so we hung out outside for a little! GM Malcolm was awesome & brought our group (6) champagne while we waited outside. Dinner is as excellent as expected!!! The lone MEH detail about tonight was a SLIGHTLY overdone paella :/ fine line between socarrat and burnt rice! Been before will be back again
