Bao Shi Yi

Small, casual, order at the front restaurant. I got the tomato beef noodle soup and an order of the beef and green onion steamed dumplings. Both were good and filling but nothing spectacular. The soup I feel need a little bit more flavor but it was ok. They were pretty quick with bringing our order out and very friendly.

I so wanted to like Bao Shi Yi. I ordered the braised beef noodles, Char Siu bun, the pork and shrimp potstickers, and the popcorn chicken (not spicy) The popcorn chicken has a good crunch to it but was one noted in flavor. it had a heavy seasoning of five spice on it. which I am not a fan of. The braised beef noodles were similar in flavor. Very heavy on the five spice and not much else. The beef was tender and would have been better with a little more flavor. The potstickers were interesting. the filling had great flavor and texture to it, but the wrapper itself was chewy and not tender. The Char Siu bun was disappointing. The dough itself was dry and chalky, and the filling was just off. I have tasted better bao in the frozen section.

I had a delightful experience at this place! The soup dumplings were a hit, but the brisket rice noodles were just okay. The standout for me was the fantastic service - everyone was incredibly friendly, and they didn't pressure me to order quickly, unlike other places. Bonus points for the stunning neon lights!

It's a small dine-in place but you must first order at the counter. The worker would bring your food to you once it's cooked. So it's pretty efficient but they do expect tip from you.The food is awesome and very authentic. The portions are adequate for the price. I would not order the shou mei again. But we'll probably come back for more.

The dishes are good, okay, but the one absolutely disappointed buy even for the whole pricey bag of "soup" dumplings are the soup dumplings.You'll not going to get your money's worth. You'll probably be upset and angry. I will guaranteed you most of the xiao long baos will be flatten more than expected. You opened them to see the meat inside is mush. Doesn't look like the usual soup dumplings. Costco's soup dumplings are overall better than this! Alright, picky kids can't tell the difference, so might as well feed them these and never again.Don't buy these unless you want mush and chewy dough.

There's nothing fancy about this place when you walk in but the menu is straight to the point (with photos) and some of the food (baos) is made fresh right before your eyes. The beef noodle soup is a massive portion with a kick - I warned you... Soup dumplings are great, the baos are fluffy with the right amount of breading to filling and the Chinese pancake (hellllllo, spice - again, I warned you). You must stop and have a photo opp with the cute dumpling that greets you at the door.

The hype videos on tik tok made this place look so good but was really disappointed service was really bad and food was not all that great I ordered variety just to try everything to make sure but still was not so good

I regret not trying them sooner. There's nothing better nor harder to find than a place with, as Neo would say, REALLY... GOOD... NOODLES. Try:- D2 - Braised Pork Gristle Noodle with Scallion Oil - Nice chewy handmade noodles in a delicious sauce. - A3 - Soup dumplings. So, so good!Very friendly service too, and they have a small outdoor area to sit. If you do sit indoors, bring a jacket, they have the A/C cranked way too high.

Yes yes, all the things. I had the spicy ramen and soup dumplings. I'm already excited about going back to try other things. I have been looking for soup dumplings and these did not disappoint. Yummmmm!!!

The pork buns were so good! They took a while to come out but well worth it. We also got the noodles and they were good.
