After the Houston Chronicle write up, I had to give this place a try. Ordered takeout and was served by the pretty daughter of the family that owns it. She said the family is from Cameroon. My friend and I loved the beans and the cabbage the most; one of the dishes (beans, I think) was a little spicy, but not more than we could handle. The bread made of corn was good for dipping into the peanut soup. Scoop of chicken had flavorful spices. And the plantains were great too. Definitely give them a try.

The goat meat with Joffa rice was very flavorful. We had Jamaica to drink, which had a hint of cinnamon- a great drink. My wife and I want to return later to try more of their food. The place is very clean. We went after the lunch crowd, around 2:00 or so.

Top tier customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Delicious food from Cameroon, Senegal and other African countries. Came with a friend native to Cameroon and she approved. Tried the fried rice, jollof rice, beef, meat pies and fried plantain. The hibiscus drink was perfectly flavorful without being overly sweet.

My recent visit to Bantu House left me thoroughly impressed. The food was an explosion of flavors, striking the perfect balance between spice and comfort. The cabbage, fufu yam, and goat dishes were exceptional, each offering a unique taste that lingered on my palate. But it was the egusi that stole the show--a warm, hearty delight that felt like a comforting hug ( made with pumpkin seeds) The ginger drink, with its subtle spiciness, was an absolute favorite. The restaurant's cleanliness and friendly staff added to the overall positive experience, It's counter service, so it was fast too. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit!
