Goi coun. Choice of shrimp + pork / vegetarian (tofu). Wrapped in rice paper with herbs (bean sprouts, mint, cilantro and vermicelli, paired with a house-made dipping sauce. Let us know of any special request. 3 pieces.
Chicken/ vegetarian tofu. Choice of chicken, vegetarian. Cabbage, daikon and carrot, top with house-made sweeten sauce or ginger soy sauces. Let us know for any special request.
Choices of steak / meatball / shrimp/ chicken/ or vegetarian tofu. Made with a bone-beef broth. Comes with Pho noodles, bean sprouts, onions, lime, and fresh basil on the side. Hoisin and siracha sauce on side.
Vegan. Lemongrass broth with bean sprouts and tofu.
Just like your favorite banh mi but on a nice baked croissant. Yummy taste with all of the banh mi flavor and toppings of carrots daikons, cucumber, jalapeo, and spreadings. Pick your favorite.
Bun cha gio. Bun (vermicelli rice noodles) with egg rolls. Mixed chopped lettuce, cucumber, thai basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts. Side of Sweet house sauce.
Bun tau hu chay. Bun (vermicelli rice noodles) with Tau hu (vegetarian fried tofu). Mixed chopped lettuce, cucumber, thai basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts. Choice of ginger sauce, peanut sauce, or sweet house sauce please note which sauce you would like.

The place is called Banh Mi Boy but also offers some noodle and rice dishes. It's as if it isn't sure its banh mi can stand on its own. Well, if it's a place called Banh Mi Boy, I'm ordering the banh mi. Unfortunately, as it turns out, it's simply not trying hard enough. While the service was friendly, this isn't a banh mi that seems like any care is put into it. The most important part of any sandwich is arguably the bread. The bread offered here, which is quite soft throughout, seems to be meant for other purposes (i.e., cheesesteak?) - but not banh mi. The meat and vegetable ingredients in my "original" were sub-standard and pretty forgettable for a banh mi -- there's very little of each and there wasn't much excitement in each bite. Yes, I finished it, but it didn't make me want to come back at all. And I always love a good banh mi. So there's plenty of room for improvement. If it's true that they are under new ownership (according to another recent review), I hope they take this as a chance to improve. The area needs a good banh mi, one that makes us remember it.

This place is delicious. The bread is my favorite part... the roast pork and pork belly sandwiches are great. The pork is awesome but it's the bread that's the real star. Light, fluffy, lightly crunch on the outside... yum. The sandwich is served warm and they're nice.Service is good! They'll wrap whether Cash saves you the 4% credit card fee!

Stopped in for a lunch exploring Main St near The University of Delaware in Newark. Ordered a Thai Ice Tea along with a standard Banh Mi as this was my first time checking this place out. I'll be back for the other variations with family as they always enjoy a good crispy banh mi with either pate and cold cuts like the one I had or beef teriyaki. The banh mi had all the parts to it. There were pickled veggies; carrots and turnip, a slide of spicy jalapeños which got me reaching for my Thai Ice Tea. The Mayo and pate spread could have been a little more along with the cold cuts as I always appreciate a stuffed Banh Mi because getting messy with your food means you are enjoying it right? The bun was toasted well and had a crunch to it. They don't have an extensive menu for bubble tea like Kung Fu Tea or T Barr down the road but it's best to do what you do best and stick with your namesake. The outdoor seating is nice but do keep in mind that you are on a busy road and though the cars driving by are always pleasant to watch; the occasional truck will ruin your meal and leave you smell smog on a still day. All in all with Banh Mi near my work and getting my lunch done in about 45 min it's a good bet that I'll be back for more!

I've tried 6 of the sandwiches and they were all amazing. Hands down my favorite was the Original, followed by the Vietnamese sausage. The chicken curry was tasty as well as the pho one. If i could offer a suggestion would be to serve the pho one with pho broth on the side to dip, like a French dip. Roast pork and the meatball ones were also legit.

Before owners changed I used to love the summer rolls at Banh Mi Boy. After the change I went twice, never again. The price changed from around $6.25 to $9.75 and the size of the rolls decreased by 30 percent. There were 2 small pieces of pork in each roll. Rolls were tiny. Compare to Pork Summer Rolls at Pho Cali, you can see slices of pork rolled around and you get 4 large rolls for $10, compared to 3 summer 'noodle' rolls. Very disappointing.
