Bangkok Thyme is a Thai restaurant in the Sandy Springs portion of Roswell Road known for its fresh and creative sushi offerings and authentic Thai food. We ordered the Lychee martini, Vegetarian Spring Rolls, Toro on Fire, Bangkok Fried Rice (Chicken), Spicy Holy Basil Chicken, Fried Cheesecake. Meal highlights include the Lychee Martini, Spring Rolls, Toro on Fire, and Bangkok Fried Rice. The Spicy Holy Basil Chicken was lacking spice and seasoning. While the fried cheesecake dough was tasty, the filling lacked flavor.The restaurant decor is very colorful and welcoming. I love the restaurant name etched on the tables. Our meal came out within an appropriate timeframe and we were provided with great and friendly service. We will definitely return; my husband for the fried rice, and me for the sushi rolls, curry, and to try other cocktails.

I had high hopes for Bangkok Thyme after seeing it featured on a local television segment. We were greeted cordially upon entry by a lady who was most likely an owner or manager. After being seated it took some time for us to decide upon our orders so eventually a different lady checked on us. This lady was totally robotic, no smile, no enthusiasm or energy. It was very difficult for her to answer questions about the menu and the options offered. We decided to just point to the items and take them as the chef prepared them. We ordered an appetizer of squid rings which came AFTER our main entrees arrived. We had a sushi order as an app and it arrived with our entrees.The squid rings were tasty and I'd order them again if I ever returned. My entree was so underwhelming I don't remember what it was. The miso soup was ok, and the California rolls were okay.Maybe I should have arrived with a television film crew in order to be treated like a valued customer. The menu isn't cheap versus the quality of the service and the mediocrity of the food. It will be a long Thyme before I return to Bangkok Thyme!

Disgusting food. I would leave negative stars if I could. I want to share about my issue with an order tonight. This was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had. I had rotten food delivered that was so inedible I had to throw it away, and also missing items that I paid for. All I asked for was a refund for the order as the sushi was spoiled, the massaman curry was so spicy it was not able to be eaten (I ordered mild), the panang curry tasted like dirty dish water and was also too spicy (again I ordered mild), and I was missing the extra vegetables I paid for. The items I received went into the trash. My driver for Uber was nice but Uber Eats and this experience was absolutely disgusting.

I ordered lunch to go from here and it was terrible, not fresh at all. The nigiri sushi was off color/brown and off on aroma and taste too. I also had a California roll that had the fake crab and cucumber but no avocado, and the rice was dry and crumbly. I threw it all in the trash.

I feel badly about posting this, but it was a horrible meal. The shrimp in my pad Thai was rancid. We could smell it as it approach the table. I didn't wanna believe that they had served me seafood. It smelled like that. But even my husband smelled it from across the other side of the table. It was horrible and we sent it back, no one came out to apologize for the obviously bad seafood. No manager no owner. It made me very sad because I love this restaurant. I heard from my mother that she had had a similar experience the week before at the same restaurant. I am sad that this restaurant is not upholding its standards of culinary excellence that it once had.My husbands meal was less than pleasing to him. FOUL!!! ordered the cucumber lollipop for $18 and the picture showed a large 12 piece roll. I got a 6 piece disgusting roll with half the ingredients missing. also ordered classic crab rangoons and got burned squares that looked NOTHING like the picture. this place is disgusting and a scam. seriously never order from here
