Simple and unassuming neighborhood bagel shop. Staff is personable and bagels are fresh. A solid spot to drop in for a quick weekday breakfast.

I was looking forward to trying this cafe. Disappointed. I ordered the San Diego Cheesesteak ($12 + tax) and the presentation was not appetizing.I do have to say that it tasted okay but was a little salty. The service was adequate but not exceptional. Very small seating area inside but they do have outside seating. Probably best to take it home. I will try again and will order something else. I hope to post a better review in the future. I'll give them a 2nd chance.

I recently moved into the neighborhood and Baked Cafe is a breath of fresh air. The owner / Chef is the one to greet you from behind the counter when you walk in and was happy to take the time with me when I asked him several questions regarding what kind of food this is. The chef was born in Istanbul, Turkey and brought with him some of the most amazing flat bread pizzas I've ever had. I first tried the lamb. To say this was bomb af is an understatement! It's like pizza but lighter. It's much more flavorful than any pizza I've ever had but not as greasy or heavy. The dough is made all in house and the lamb meatballs were filled with so much flavor in every bite I didn't want it to end. I tried the meat lovers pizza square the next time. Again this was delicious and better than all the pizza I've had. However, the flatbread pizzas are seriously next level! Going to try the home made fresh bagels next. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. It's locally owned. The ambiance chill and the food is incredible!!

Their pide so tasty. The owner has a friendly and smiley vibe. But whenever I go there it's close. I check on google it's close. I walk in it's close . I was able to eat from there 3 times and I feel like I catch them open by chance as a Turkish I would love them to open in a scheduled time.

Stopped into Baked to grab some dinner for takeout. I had primarily known this location to be a breakfast spot so was pleasantly surprised to see them offering pizza/flatbread options for dinner hours. The selection of items premade was plentiful and you also have the option of having them make a fresh whole flatbread but that will take a bit longer. We tried the Vegetarian, Meatlover and Multi-cheese options. Ended up with leftovers for the next day. I'd definitely suggest giving them a shot for a reasonably priced quick meal. Also, the service was prompt and friendly.

Recently visited with the new menu after 1pm less than a month old. Kaya, the chef and Turkish flatbreads expert, makes delicious pizzas and flatbreads. The dough is used for both types of pizzas, equally delicious. Turkish flatbreads are made fresh to order so expect a wait--it's worth it. If you're in a hurry, there's a whole case with pizzas.

I visited around the breakfast hour. I will start with the negative which are just a few: Smaller bakery selection than I anticipated, they got my order wrong, sausage wrap was overheated and dry. The good: baked buns are yummy. The bacon one was my favorite- nice filling to bread ratio. The bread reminds me of those auntie Anne's pretzels which is so good. The sausage one has eggs and peppers in it. The iced coffee was good. They have iced, cold brew, and hot as the options-no fancy flavors or additions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The flavor of the sausage wrap was good, just a little dry. They also have pizza, and bagel sandwiches. I would visit again if in the area. Reading the reviews, I realized they have a different selection in the afternoon so I'll have to try it again for lunch! I really feel like I missed out by just seeing the breakfast menu!

Holy wow. Best pizza in San Diego and the Turkish pide flatbread is unbelievable...you can't find this anywhere else that I've been. Chef Kaya is a master and created a much needed addition to the San Diego food scene.

I walked in and was welcomed and started looking at the food menu. The cashier suddenly unplugs the screen with the food menu, turns her back at me, and I'm standing there wondering what's going on waiting for the menu to come back up. The cashier then turns to face me, notices me being confused and says they're only serving coffee and pastries. I told her she could've explained that when I walked in and thought it was rude to just unplug the screen. I left and called my friend who recommended me this place and she told me they stop serving food at 1:00 pm. The problem is that it was around 12:45 pm when I walked in, people were sitting eating their food and orders were still being made because the kitchen was open and they were working. My negative review has to do with the rude cashier and the way she went about things. I would've ordered coffee and a bagel had she just explained the food hours when she greeted me.

This place should close or get new management. At 8 am, they barely had any pastries and exactly two choices of bagels. Key ingredients for sandwiches were missing (e.g., they wanted to replace sun-dried tomatoes with regular tomatoes but not lower the cost). The menu read sandwiches "served with home fries". When I got my food, there were no home fries included and I was told that "that was supposed to be removed from the menu". Of course, once again, the cost remained the same.
