Great comfortable bar. Best drinks in town! Great food. Awesome owner (Jesse). Perfect spot to hang out at the bar, have excellent drinks and listen to an eclectic variety of vinyls

Cute spot. We came on the recommendation that it was a cute spot that plays records. We came and sadly no records playing. I was confused about the bishop reference, too. No chess around! There was music, and it was a fun dark ambience. Drinks were solid craft cocktails.

The cocktails on menu LOOKS outstanding the overall flavor and balance really miss the mark...Now if you're not a stickler for this kind of thing, I don't think you will notice too much, but might sense something is off...In the bar theres a good selection of vinyl records and a beautiful record player... Next to the record player sits an audio jack with an MP3 player plugged in. - Sadly this is a very accurate summary of this bar. I'll be back... maybe they were just having a bad day or this round of cocktails was just off.

Clever cocktails and tasty bar snacks in a beautiful bar, brought to you by JarrBar alumni. Drinks are expertly made, this is a bar where you'll be hard-pressed to choose a favorite, more like a few.The playful yet dangerous cocktail menu features a wide range of delicious libations, across spirits, including bourbon and rye, mezcal, gin and vodka as well as well as a couple tiki options. The spicy martini Blind Swine is a house staple - pipparas pepper, brine, garnished with a chorizo-wrapped pepper. The Hiding in Plane Flight is a brandy take on a Paper Plane, made with Brandy Sainte Louise, L'Aperitivo Nonino, Foro Amaro, lemon and bitters. For those who enjoy Vespers, the Vespah riffs on the classic drink, using Vermouth Rouge instead of Kina Lillet.Highly recommend Bad Bishop for those who take their cocktails seriously, or better yet, those who don't!

I had two hours to kill before a dinner reservation and saw that Bad Bishop was only a block or so away. I decided to stop in for a quick snack and couple drinks. I was promptly greeted by Jesse who I learned was the owner. He was super friendly and welcoming to me and all of the guests. Unfortunately, Seattle still isn't allowing bar seating which was disappointing, but I grabbed a cute little table along the wall.I had two of their IPA beers. Both were delicious. The beer and drink selection wasn't huge but definitely has something for everyone! I was happy with it. I ordered the olives and the shoe string fries. Both were delicious and I probably ate too much before dinner. Oh well, it was worth it! The sauce that comes with the fries was delicious and the seasoning was perfect. The olives contain pits but they give you a small container for them.Overall, I really enjoyed this stop. The bar had great decor and music. The bathroom was super clean and the employees were quick and friendly. I highly recommend a visit!

I stopped by this place because it was the only place with good reviews that open later than most other businesses thinking I will just grab a drink and a burger. But I was in for a surprise. Owners/bartenders have extensive knowledge on mixology as I can tell from my experience of 4 years of bartending. Very detailed combination of ingredients and very specific bitters that create some awesome drinks (Blue Jay, Camino Real, Autumn in NY, and many more) The best I had in Seattle so far. And the smash burger was amazing, too. I am a new regular now. *highly recommended for people staying at Courtyard by Marriott - Downtown Seattle.

We tried to come here pre covid once and the pipes burst so could not enter lol. 1.5 years later we made it! Interior is beautiful... absolutely love the brick and wallpaper. My cute husband planned a date night and this was one of our stops. He picked this place specifically for the homecoming cocktail (I'm obsessed with mezcal). It was good. More on the citrusy/refreshing side and not as spicy/spirit forward as I would have liked but still very good. He really liked his rye Manhattan. I also tried a glass of the rose which was easy drinking and not too sweet. The food was a pop up menu from a local chef. Best fried cauliflower I've ever had. Crispy on outside and soft on inside. Came with this amazing curry yogurt and golden raisins. We also tried the grilled cheese with beets. I love cheese and I love beets... not sure why I never had them together before today. Such fun flavors together. It came with a savory beet soup which was great for dipping the sandwich. We will definitely come back! Such friendly people, great drinks and food. What more can you want !!
