Love the coffee ice cubes. Definitely helps the coffee from tasting watered down in this heat.

I have passed by this beautiful little establishment with high hopes that I would have an opportunity to try them someday soon and today was certainly that day. With a name like that, who wouldn't be curious right?!We walked in to a nearly empty establishment which is usually a red flag for me but perhaps it was a slow day. I was willing to proceed forward with the one sole customer in front of me taking an exceedingly long amount of time because she decided to purchase mugs, shirts, coffee bags, etc. I took this as a good sign because you don't normally see people in Starbucks loading up on merchandise with their Latte. It wasn't her fault until I realized their touchscreen machine was out of order and no one seemed to know how to remedy this issue. I get that things go wrong but I was hoping for at least acknowledgement from at least one staff member to apologize or reassure me that they would get to us as quickly as possible. None however was given so we were made to stand and wait for quite a long time. It was at this point I realized that maybe we should've just driven through to get better service. No smiles or formalities were exchanged and it seemed as if everyone was not having their best day. When it was our turn to order, there was still not a smile, a courtesy, or a sorry for your wait. All is forgiven, because many can have a bad day. I kept my hopes high for a cappuccino that would live up to the perceived hype and make this situation a salvageable one. After a couple of minutes to allow it to cool, we sat in the very comfy seating but chose a window seat since the rest of the place seemed quite dark for such a beautiful day. After a few sips, I realized that this coffee definitely leans on the sweeter side versus bitter or strong. It's my first cup of Hawaiian coffee so perhaps this is to be expected. I'm always open to new experiences but it just wasn't my preference. I finished my cup but it left me feeling like it lacked any potency and was far too sweet for my tastes. Normally one cup of coffee perks me up but the perk was definitely lacking completely. I was also hoping to order food but no gluten free options were available. I would've asked the cashier if she had some but it wasn't her best day and I certainly didn't want to make her day any worse. All in all, I left hungry, lacking the pick-me-up refreshment I so dearly craved, and I felt that maybe I should've just brewed something at home in a to go cup. I hope this place was simply having a bad day but due to my first and last experience here, I doubt I will be returning. I hope these sweet girls have a better day tomorrow and that some improvements can be made here for the future of this business as well. I'm always up for trying new things but it just didn't pan out today.

Got a to-go order from here recently in an effort to try something different. Lots of different options here that hover near Hawaiian type flavoring, but plenty of others as well. Order was ready when the app said it would be and placed in a to-go carrier as we had 4 drinks. Drink was fine for me. Really nothing that stood out. I liked that they used coffee-ice for the iced lattes as it prevented some watering down of the drink.

I was in need of an afternoon pick me up after the Galentine's Yelp Elite Event. North Houston CM Brittany suggested Bad Ass Coffee since it was near by. I wasn't familiar with this establishment prior to visiting. At present, there are only two in TX (the other one is in McKinney). This is a nice coffee shop in a small shopping strip. The store is pretty spacious and it was very clean. On the day that I stopped in, they were selling merch for 25% off. They also have a drive thru. The staff was very friendly and provided suggestions of drinks that I may like based on my flavor preferences. I decided to order the Three Waves Latte with Oat Milk. It has coconut, caramel, and macadamia nut. I prefer iced coffee in the afternoon, but it was cold that day so I went with a hot coffee. It was so good! I loved the coconut flavor and I got the boost that I needed for my drive home. Thanks for the recommendation, B!

Loving the place for sake of the name alone (too bad the coffee couldn't hold up to the hype, see below). Pretty busy on a random Saturday afternoon, though, as we're dropping in after a day spent with the Miata Club. Medium decaf flat white made with heavy cream (ordered as a latte with no foam, and I can overhear the baristas now trying to figure out what the ratios are supposed to be). The verdict: they didn't get the ratios right. This one is way too heavy on the cream, or perhaps the coffee itself is just too delicate in flavor. I _will_ give them kudos for being able to get it with no foam, though. So, there's some skill here at least. The live-edge hardwood tables and teal colored walls certainly give off the tropical vibe but the metal chairs aren't making it very inviting to stay for long. And I wish there was stronger Hawaiian reggae playing, but alas, it's just sounds like Bruno Mars on vacation. Cool concept; underwhelming execution. PS: with the School of Rock sharing a wall with the shop, you're not going to get the cozy hang-out-and-read vibes from this place; all I hear right now is a sad trombone (Womp womp) and muffled AC/DC.

Had to try out the new coffee spot in Cypress. Very spacious in the inside and a good place to study or just have a coffee date. They serve not only variety of coffee but also snacks/food. Upon arrival I was greeted by most the workers with a "Aloha" which was a nice touch. The person who took my order was very helpful and answered all my questions. I appreciate the fact that I can adjust my sweetness level on the drinks or even the sugar free options. I did try the kono brew and I get that its special type of brew but man almost 6 dollars for a small is kind of pricey. As I was waiting I notice the area where they keep napkins, sugar packets and other essentials has syrup bottles there. I haven't seen ice cube coffees else where but it was great to have. For a first visit drinks, workers, environment all were great.

Why 5 stars? Because Hawaiian coffee is an auto 5 from me. --- --- ---I love Hawaii and I love coffee. Coincidentally, I REALLY love coffee from Hawaii. Normally I drink my coffee black, but there's something about how they do it in Hawaii where they just lightly flavor it with macadamia, coconut, hazelnut, etc. So the wife ran inside and my request was to order me a nitro with one of those flavors added in. And as fate would have it, they did so perfectly. It was very subtly added, but you barely actually noticed it. As much as I love super sweet things, they always make me feel gross afterward. There was no post game grossness on this day. Only happiness and a much needed pep in my step after stuffing my face at lunch. We also bought several bags of beans which all had flavor profile combinations with things mentioned above. I normally would wait to write this review until after I try some of those beans, but I already know what's going to happen: I'm going to love them.

Stopped by because I heard a lot of great things about Bad Ass Coffee on Facebook. I got 2 coffees to try out "Bad Ass Mocha" which has dark & white chocolate. It was really good, I replaced the whole milk with coconut milk. I also orders the "Three Waves Hot Latte" that has coconut, caramel & macadamia nut. That was my absolute favorite! The coconut flavor is very strong and delicious. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, it came out piping hot and smelled amazing! It was really good. I stopped by the drive thru which I'm a little sad about, I missed out on seeing the interior of the shop. The servers were very nice and polite.

Wonderful service and a delicious drink!Gabbi covered the cost for my drink and gave me a card for another free drink after I waited in the drive thru behind a car with a complicated or large order. The wait didn't seem unrealistically long, but that was an incredibly thoughtful gesture. I will absolutely be returning.

Really good coffee and I loved my spam and egg sandwich! The decor is really cool, the surf board is a nice touch. Staff was great, they took the time to ask about our trip to Houston. We will be back the next time we are in town.
