Back Table Kitchen & Bar

Came here during our stay at the Woodlands Resort and had a great experience! We sat inside and was a good vibe, but outdoor patio seems fun as well on a beautiful weather day. Service was excellent and we enjoyed the food. I would not get the muffins again as an appetizer but everything else I would. My husband had the hanger steak and frites and they cooked his medium rare to perfection. I had the lobster Mac and cheese and it was divine! Highly suggest the s'mores cheesecake! You can come here even if you aren't staying at the resort!

Thank you Chef Ivan for taking a person interest in taking care of us! Much much better experience than previously. Nicole did a great job. Dr Pepper Chicken minus teriyaki sauce was outstanding. Smash burger was great as before. Chocolate cake was very good. Tres Leches cake lacking sweet richness of sweetened condensed milk and wasn't moist enough. Sweet corn continued to disappoint. Ambiance was especially noising with spring break kids but again sports bar feel. Live music was almost hidden which is unfortunate. Overall much better experience than previously.

We absolutely loved our lunch at Back Table kitchen and bar. We started with the fried green tomatoes and an order of the southern Fritto Misto everything was outstanding. Two in our party ordered salads: I had the local tomatoes and burrata and my aunt had the wedge salad. They were both delicious, and we just kind of shared between the two of us. I honestly can't decide which one I would pick to order again because both were perfect. By far thing on this menu is the grilled salmon with a hot honey glaze cilantro pesto and corn succotash. I'm not from Houston so I don't really know how you guys deal with this heat, but I could never eat heavy food as hot as it is in Houston. Baked lobster Mac? Cabernet braised short rib? Pork belly? No I can't do any of that. Fortunately, there are lots of lighter options from the chicken tortilla soup, to any of their four wonderful salads, to the nice selection of shareables. When we were in here it was admittedly an off time but we were some of the only customers in here. Not only was it quiet enough for us to hear each other, but it was easy to hear our lovely server. I especially love it when servers are kind to children, showing them how they can expect to be treated when they go to restaurants as an adult. How can we ask kids to be good at restaurants if we don't treat them like customers? Our server at Back Table got it perfectly right friendly and helpful to my kids and it really helped us enjoy our lunch.With so much of my family living in the Houston area and being here for work a lot I imagine I'll be back to back table and I look forward to it. Maybe it will be winter and I can try the cowboy ribeye, steak frites, pork chop, or something else of the heavy variety. In any case I do intend to come back, whatever the season.

I love that they have mock tails. The front hostesses were totally cool with my feral children playing in the game room. The ambiance is lovely in the evenings and the view in the patio in the morning is peaceful. The breakfast buffet was gigantic! It is HUGE anything you could ever want for breakfast is there - even things I would never consider for breakfast. The chef made me a specialty order of Shishido peppers they were super spicy but delicious! I didn't want a whole steak at the time ... it was close to closing and they went above and beyond. The place was clean and had several areas with different vibes. Good spot! Super kind service and the the ingredients were good.

We had our Valentine's day dinner at Back Table and it was a very pleasant experience. We were greeted with a very friendly staff member and asked if we'd like to stay by the window and yes we did! We were served by Victor and he was wonderful! He was very attentive and also gave us dessert recommendations when we were confused. There was live music playing which made the ambience great! They also had a separate Valentine's day menu which we didn't use but was quite decent. Our food was also quite flavorful and the star of the dinner was our cheese and chicken dip. It was otherworldly! It was our first time at back table since we are still new to The Woodlands, but it definitely won't be the last!

Although they were not prepared for Houston Restaurant Week on its first day, they went all out to make sure we were satisfied. We were able to access the menu online and most of the items were available. The smoked pork sandwich was divine. Big chunks of meat, lightly sauced, this rates up there with my favorite pig sandwiches of all time. The gumbo was great and rich. There was no shrimp poboy available but they comped my partners meal and what she had was awesome.

Really great food! We had a work conference at the hotel and ate here the first night. I had the salmon and it was amazing!Great wine list and selections. Service was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

We had a reservation for 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon and sat us over by the golf course, which was a nice view. Everyone from the hostess and waitress to the manager was very friendly and helpful. We ordered off the happy hour menu for drinks and food. The Old Fashioneds were amazing. We had the meatballs, burgers, and brussel sprouts. The first two were definitely . The only thing that was not great were the flies that kept bothering us. Otherwise, it was a classy place to enjoy an afternoon.

This is difficult to review. We have only biked here to hang out in their outdoor patio area. Ambiance is great! Love the patio! Happy hour decent. However, service has always been lacking. For example...NOTHING going on in the bar and they can't take the time to help cart out your drinks? Or....we arrived 10 minutes before they opened on Saturday. glassware still sitting around from night before. still there two hours later after we left. so, recommend if want nice outdoor patio, but absolutely don't come if want any kind of service.

Super nice restaurant inside the Curio Woodlands Resort. Great food, outstanding service and relaxing atmosphere. Stayed here at the hotel for the weekend with wife and daughters,, and were surprised by how much we enjoyed it, so we went back the following evening with our friends that lived locally.
