I first encountered Baby Buns at the Block party to celebrate Old City Eats. I had one of the most delicious sandwiches I'd ever tasted, with the bun engraved with a "B" on it. I was looking forward to visiting their location in the Bourse. It took me a couple of months, but I finally made it to the Bourse and eagerly ordered the classic burger with truffle fries from Baby Buns. The burger is 2 small sliders, which doesn't seem quite worth the price, but I wouldn't mind as long as the sliders tasted good. They did not. They were awful. Thin and overcooked to the point of tastelessness. And no engraved "B" on the bun this time. Since I know what they are capable of based on my previous experience, I wondered if this was just an aberration. As if they were reading my mind, a group of Asian tourists who also ordered sliders decided to sit at my table. One of them took one bite ad then took the burger out of the bun and started speaking Chinese as she tore it apart. I could see it was as overcooked as mine and even tough I couldn't understand what she was saying, she clearly wasn't happy and didn't eat it. The kids didn't care and ate it with no problem. At least the truffle fries were done right, so I had something tasty to eat. I had high expectations and left disappointed. There is really no excuse for serving burgers that overcooked.

I visited baby buns during the first week of it being opened, so I'm hoping by now it has gotten over the new business hump. I can honestly say this was one of the grossest, most disappointing lunches I've ever had. I got their I believe pork buns, but since I'm gluten free in a lettuce wrap. It was all a complete mess (see picture), the meat was mostly all inedible fat, the flavor was super bland. I also ordered their fries that were supposed to be Parmesan or truffle or something, they were plain frozen then fried fries with specks here and there of some sort of flavor on them. My fiancé got their beef sliders which I think were okay-definitely not good by any means. The amount of food you get is small for the price and the worst part of everything it took at least a HALF HOUR to get our food, and they seemed to be the least busy vendor there! Like I said, I hope they've fixed things but I get shivers when I think about how bad this experience was.

We ordered directly from Baby Buns today and had steaming hot fresh food in 30 minutes. We got the burger and the jerk chicken jawns, a summer special. 4 bao buns on the chicken was unbelievably filling. The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist and I love the spice mixed with the mayo. The buns were fresh and perfect. It is the closest bao bun I've eaten to the ones at Jose Graces' long closed 8th and walnut restaurant and I dream of those buns. The fries were thicker than shoe string and salted and crispy. The burger was charbroiled and it was so nice to have that taste. Can't waste to go back.

Recently placed a large order here for our work lunch and had a FANTASTIC experience. From the kind staff to the delicious food, I cannot compliment this place enough. We had the Taiwanese fried chicken sandwich and impossible burgers (vegan options available as well!) delivered to us all individually wrapped without a hitch. Everyone at work was raving about the sandwiches, and they were definitely large enough to satisfy any appetite! I was very impressed by how juicy and crispy the chicken was, even with a larger order and through transport.I will definitely come back to try more of their food and support this wonderful local business.

The burger sliders were very good! It came with an interesting touch to it, a vile? of aoli? Inserted into the burger. Whatever it was, it was good lol.

I first tried their Taiwanese chicken slider/bun at the Yelp Event at the Bourse and immediately loved it. I came two days later by myself for a late lunch and fell IN love with it.I wanted to opt for something different, but I just HAD to get another taste of that chicken. I ordered two sets of the chicken buns for me and my BF (you get 2 small sliders per order and I think it's enough for one person) and a side of garlic (or truffle?) parmesan fries and it came to $24, so kind of pricy, but WELL worth it.First of all, I had it piping hot at the Yelp Event and then the second time got it to go and didn't consume it until a half hour later and BOTH times it was fantastic at both temperatures. The fries were also DOPE (and I'm usually not big on those types of fries). The sandwich is sweet, salty, crunchy, delectable chicken with a beautiful aioli and housemade pickle on a wonderful buttery bun. When I stopped in the second time, the staff was SO friendly. I sat at the bar for a bit and they offered me some wine and a sampling of their really great slow-cooked pulled pork simmering in juices.I was mad I didn't try the steak sliders, but I'll 100% be back here soon!

My boyfriend was drawn in to BABY BUNS, and was intrigued the PORK JAWNS. With a name like that, they have to live up to the hype to represent our city! First off, they took a bit too long to make. At a food hall like Bourse, I'd like to get my food quickly, and then have a seat, and there was a bit too much waiting IMO. The wait wouldn't have been so bad if the buns blew me away, but they simply didn't. They were underseasoned and underwhelming. The pork was topped with slaw and chipotle mayo, but it didn't do much for me at all. I'd be interested to try their other buns to see if they're any different, but I wouldn't order the pork jawns again.

The chef/owner is a SUPER nice guy. I just will never spend $16 + tax and tip again on two itty bitty veggie burgers. Yes, they are the hyped up Impossible Burger but come on. How is the fancy truffle burger with Kobe beef at $12 less expensive? Poor guy must be paying retail prices for those impossible burgers.

Disappointed, we finally stopped in at the Bourse when this place was open and made the mistake of trying it out. Terrible and expensive, chicken sliders were served raw and beef sliders were severely overcooked. Buns were mediocre and cold. Churros tasted like they had been sitting out for days. Service was slow. Avoid at all costs. Attempted to reach out before writing this review but never received a response.
