The food here is like an experience. So many unique/ different flavored dishes . It's my husband's and I's favorite " date night spot " it's a small town / local tavern / restaurant. I don't feel like calling it a " tavern " does it justice . It's not just fried finger foods and beer , it's well designed chef inspired meals . After Covid it went through a bit of a " change " like a lot of small businesses did . And during the transition there were some hiccups but I think it's back to being its best self . With revolving food menus & DRINK menus there's always something new to look forward to trying . Service is typically pretty good but of course depends on the night and how busy they are .

This place is so damn cozy! Perfect lighting, perfect decor, just perfect. Loved their Friendswood 75 and had wine afterwards since they were having a happy hour special. We split the Belgian fries and the sauces were delicious; mix them together for even more tasty delight! The staff was excellent... this is the kind of place you feel right at home at immediately. They've got so much to offer, be it suggestions or great conversation. I was informed that their menu will be consistently changing and I think that's wicked fun. All the more reason to go back more often!

Service was fantastic. we had the swordfish the lamb and the chicken fried steak. All three were probably the best in Houston. They have a fantastic espresso martini ,

First time here, and I really wanted to like this place... but the service was TERRIBLE. I felt invisible. We sat at our table for about 20 mins with just water, we flagged someone down and asked if they knew who our waiter was going to be? The waiter came over and said, "Oh, I thought I already served yall." We put our drink order and food order in and waited about 15 mins, and then he saw that he forgot our drink order. (We waited about 30 to 35 mins in total with nothing but water) He also never noticed that we had no silverware or plates. We had to ask the buser. He never asked if we would like another drink, so we didn't bother. At the end, when we paid, he said, "Sorry for the bad service." Im curious, Where was the manager? Very poor management.

Wanted to try the tavern so bad. Came in on a Friday evening, 7pm. Sat at the bar. Was not asked for a drink let alone food. We were hopeful that someone would tend to us but no one did. Only one bartender that seemed extremely overwhelmed. We left after sitting at the bar for over 15 minutes.

Amazing! Came here for dinner after going to Stevenson Park. We ordered the burger (amazing!) tater tots (awesome!) and Bob Ross chicken with sauces (perfect and our toddlers enjoyed them too!) and fried shrimp. Our drinks and food were delish. It's a small but carefully selected menu; the waitress says the chef rotates it monthly. Portions were good. I think they really focus on high quality and it shows. Restroom was very clean. Nice ambiance. We'll definitely be back. A hidden gem.

The food was good and the service was friendly but SOOOOO SLOW. Plenty of parking. The lamb tacos were good but very greasy. The bananas foster was good but over the top sweet with the ice cream. The eggs bacon and browns were tasty. The mimosas are $2 on Sundays.

Stopped going. Seemed more like a locals club and we were not part of the clique. The food that we had was good. Also found they use Foie Gras which is inhumane. It is where ducks are FORCE FED to enlarge their liver.
