Great choice for a date night. Excellent variety of menu options for each course. Tasty lemon risotto, perfect rigatoni with house made sausage, and spot on panna cotta. Yes, they make their own limoncello.Service tried to be a balance of typical fine dining styles, however all of the over the top descriptions of the food and drinks became very cumbersome and came off very forced. We tried to give some subtle social cues, but to no avail. Overall still a good choice,Evening ended on a low note as we ordered limoncello, but it took a very long time to show up at the table. The delicious food made us want to try the sister restaurants, hopefully with less commentary.

We made our second trip to Azzurro just before New Years and really enjoyed this addition to the culinary scene in The Woodlands!! The local restaurant group who created Via Emilia and the Avanti locations has really hit it out of the park with its newest concept at Azzurro. Modern fine dining with a seafood centric Italian menu. Beautiful space and very friendly service. Our main server Omar was excellent. We started with the White Wine Steamed mussels and the Crudo Trio. The mussels were good, but not great. The broth was excellent and the mussels fine - but it felt like the two parts of the dish were separate. Maybe we should have tossed the mussels in the broth ourselves. Bottom line, good dish, but not one that is a must have. The Crudo Trio was definitely a keeper. Tuna, Salmon and Scallop sliced thin with a flavorful sauce of capers, basil and olive oil. Perfectly balanced and the fish was fresh and tender. For a mid course we shared the Heirloom Caprese which they split for us without asking. A very good Caprese rendition with Fresh tomatoes, burrata and dressing. Would certainly order again. For our mains we shared the Braised Beef Cheek Malfadine and the Seared Cod. Both dishes outstanding with the top vote going to the pasta. However they accomplished it with the fatty beef cheeks, the sauce and pasta came together and didn't feel too heavy. Just a really good dish. The cod was good, but I think I preferred the Pistachio Crusted Salmon from my previous visit. Like I said earlier, Azzurro is a great addition to the area. In my opinion, the best Italian food in the Woodlands.

Was here as part of a corporate dinner, with a party of about 15. We had a single waitress and she did a phenomenal job of managing a big group. I had the shrimp pasta and it was pretty delicious. perfectly cooked and not too large of a portion. Also had the cheesecake for dessert. cheesecake was just ok. I really liked sitting outside near the water. It was a very nice evening all around.

Why 5 stars? Because this was one of the better special occasion restaurants we've been to in the area. --- --- ---Three times a year (birthdays and anniversary), we splurge a bit on a high end meal. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have resulted in shockingly high bills with little payoff in terms of value. Because I recently lost my job, we nearly skipped an anniversary meal this year, but we wanted to get out of the house and were so glad we did.On one of the first beautiful weather weekend's of the year, we opted to sit outside and it was perfect. It reminded both of us of being in California. Slightly warm in the sun, slightly cool in the shade and no clouds in the sky. The scene around us was that of diners from other nearby restaurants also enjoying their beautiful Sunday evening as they were coming or going from one of the many eateries in Hughes Landing. The bread was the first thing to arrive and it was gluten heaven. 5-stars.We were tempted to order the burrata and speck appetizer, but our server (Morgan) talked us into the Octopus Carpaccio. We both had the same reaction to it: it was delicious and it was unique... but would we *have* to order it again? Not necessarily. 4-stars.We also ordered the creamy lobster soup and I have to say that this might have been the best lobster bisque I've ever had. Maybe it helped that it was the ideal temperature outside for it, but I don't think the flavor could have been better. And the lobster meat itself was perfection. 5-stars.I ordered the squid ink spagehtti and loved it. I was warned that it was very heavy on the seafood flavor, but I didn't think it was at all. It was just a great dish from start to finish that I would happily order again. 5-stars.My wife went with the half roasted chicken. It was definitely an unconventional order, but she loved it. The pasta it came with was the highlight. For me, the only thing I did not love about it was the lemon flavor associated with the pasta, but the wife was a huge fan so that's what matters. For me, I would have given it 4-stars, but she says 5. We were not going to order dessert, but because it was our anniversary, they brought us a trio of cannolis. I am not a big cannoli person and didn't love the flavors, but it was free and a super nice gesture!Thank you Azzurro for a wonderful meal and excellent service from Morgan!

Total surprise, great Italian place with unique dishes and a great patio by the water. Truffle dishes were fantastic. Real black truffle shaved in front of you. Impressive. Pasta pasta pasta. Fresh. Branzino also very good. We shared a few items and they were plentiful. Family style works well here. Will return

Have been anxiously waiting for Azzurro to open! The Woodlands is in desperate need of more fresh seafood options and where it's just more fried whatever. Also big fan of Via Emilia and Avanti all owned by the same family.Azzurro delivers on a lot of fronts. Great location. Unique fresh seafood options. A menu that I wanted to try everything on it. Everyone loved everything we ordered. Fresh, tasty and presentation at in my opinion is a very reasonable price point.Only gave it 4 stars due to cramped seating. Tables too close, but I understand the need to maximize revenue per square footage particularly in this high rent district. Service was slow and a bit disjointed. Our server was inattentive and spent a lot of time chatting with other employees rather than roving his tables to check in. We had several drinks and wine, but had to constantly "seek and summon" anyone for more water. Finished staters and salad plates sat on table forever before being cleared.Great concept, great food! I'm sure they'll get their service act together. We plan to put Azzurro on our rotation.

Minus one star for forgetting the birthday celebration despite reminders (on the reservation page and when I walked in prior to the birthday boy). The table next to us was also celebrating a bday and had their moment to shine. Minus another star for their over fried calamari that was likely not fresh or cooked way too long in the fryer. Loved their lobster bisque but you can't really go wrong with creamy soup. Is it the best one? Eh truluck (across the street) would win that competition. Free bread is always pleasant. Tiramisu was on point with moist layers of lady fingers and coffee flavor. Pasta texture was disappointing. I expected Al dente for my pasta and that was not appreciated. It was either overcooked or not fresh. Accommodations for vegan pastas sucked - was hoping they could just mix and match sauces with pasta for the vegan heads. This was extremely difficult to ask for. Some places are good about substituting a protein such as Tempe, tofu, mushroom? Something. Not here.
