Azteca Grill

This is my second time coming here and I love this place! The service is so good. You order at the counter and grab a table (so far, we haven't had trouble finding seating). They take your order at the front and bring food out as it's made. So far, I've tried the asada torta, chips w guac, asada tacos, pupusas w cheese & beans, and the chicken milanesa. All dishes have been amazing. So flavorful, fresh, and delicious. FYI : the chips are fried fresh and come out piping hot. YUM. I'm already wanting to go back.

We ordered chicken and cheese quesadillas and an assortment of gorditas (steak, carnitas, beef). They delivered to the brewery next door where we were. The food was hot and had great flavor. I would recommend if you are in the area! Great service!

Delicious, unfussy food in charming no frills environment. Would I take a date or business client here? No. Would I stop by for an affordable and delicious dinner with a good friend or spouse? Yes!My husband and I came by for dinner after we worked up an appetite at the gym. You order at the counter but then pay at the end of the meal, so it's mostly fast-casual (fast-casual enough that we felt fine dining here in gym clothes). I got a set of three tacos (chicken was okay, chorizo + steak I'd order again, chorizo alone was a little too much chorizo), my husband got some steak + peppers & onions + rice & beans plate (I definitely had food envy watching him eat), and we got a pair of papusas to share. The papusas were BY FAR my favorite part of the meal - just enough rich and cheesy filling for things to get a little oozy, but not so much that they were impossible to eat. Next time, I think I'd just get papusas for a meal - the tacos were tasty enough, but just served as meat on a tortilla, plus whatever salsa you'd want to add at their salsa bar.All in all, a great place to pop by for a quick and relatively cheap mea.

Wow! This place serves delicious authentic Mexican food. I had the horchata, which had a lovely cinnammon aftertaste, and three tacos- carne asada, chorizo, and carnitas. They have a toppings bar. A word of caution...the red sauces are burn-your-mouth spicy! The cost is reasonable, as well. This is a great place for a lunch!

I've passed this place a thousand times and never even considered eating there. As I left the Lakewood YMCA, I decided Mexican sounded good for dinner. I was so happy and my tastebuds were too. Aztec Grill hands down has the absolute best Carnitas in the state! So flavorful, not dry the absolute best! Definitely a hidden gem!

been coming here all the time for a couple years and food is always good , staff is very nice and welcoming . nothing really to complain about , overall very nice i would recommend for a nice meal and the decor is very pleasing

Outstanding carnitas and Pico de Gallo bar. If you want Mexican food hot or mild you get to choose. Friendly staff and authentic Mexican food. No cheddar cheese here. Quaint atmosphere. Bright and comfortable. Street tacos and enchiladas available. Full bar too. You won't be disappointed. No chips and salsa when you are seated, but that's a Tex Mex thing anyway. Well worth the search. Lots of parking spaces.

Food was OUTSTANDING!!!! I'm sure it's the absolute best Mexican food I've ever had!! Extremely authentic and delicious food. The service was phenomenal and definitely making this a go to place! So glad we stopped in.

sinceramente no me gusto para nada, para empezar tienes que hacer tu orden en laentrada, pedí algo y me dijeron que no es hora para vender esa comida....después pedí una gordita y nuevamente que no pueden venderme solo una......

On the outside it doesn't draw much attention but this food is DELICIOUS the best Mexican food I've ever had in Durham and I'm from Durham the chorizo sopes and gorditas are a must the pozole taste homemade and the horchata is amazing I've been there more than once in the same week that's how good it is
