Aviator Brewing Company

I think this was Aviator's brewing facility, but they have so many buildings I honestly can't keep them straight. My friend had a Groupon that got us a 6-beer flight, pint glass, and 4 or 6-pack to go. Aviator keeps their mainstay brews around, but also introduces new ones which I appreciate. I think their dark beers, like stouts or imperials, are best. They did have a mango wheat which was pretty good. They'd just tapped their pumpkin beer and lined the glass rim with some cinnamon/brown sugar...tasty!

Drink good beer, play games, and tour the brewery!Pros:- Excellent selection of beers to choose from. My favorite is their Imperial Stout.- Beer descriptions are on point- Unique beers to try (e.g. Devil's Nightmare)- Flight glasses are large. None of us were able to finish our selections- Educational and fun brewery tour- Reasonable pricesCons:- On a Saturday afternoon, they only had one bartender. He was welcoming and efficient, but overworked. There were several large groups getting flights. Nonetheless he greeted customers, answered questions, poured pints, and provided updates as he fulfilled the seemingly never ending flight orders.- In the bar and on the tour there were lots of flies. They do keep the doors open, which provides good air flow so some flies are reasonable. The flies, especially on the tour, were plentiful and relentless. They were busy on a Saturday so plan accordingly. This may have been related to their Groupon deal. During the summer months, it is very warm at the bar and on the tour so dress accordingly.

My brother and I came here and enjoyed flights of the beers they have on tap. There was only one staff member working behind the bar so we had to wait a little bit to give her our flight lists, but it wasn't a big deal--it was busy and she was working hard. I like stouts better than hoppy beers, and their selection did not disappoint. I think there were 4 or 5 different stouts to try. The gose was both my favorite and my brother's. We both left with six-packs of it. Will be back!

Do a tour So much fun lots to learn. First we sat down and had 6 flights, for me they were big I think I finished 2. When we got there the place was busy the one bartender they had did a great job handling all the people and making sure everyone had the right flights to taste. Then we took the tour. Our tour guide walked us through all the brewing process and the storage areas including the refrigerator. He was fun and informative. At the end of the tour they gave us a souvenir glass. Enjoy!

If I were rating the beer, solid 10... too bad this is for the restaurant, as the service was less than stellar, meaning really, really bad. It was 2 pm on a Saturday, not much of a crowd, yet, it felt as if we were an inconvenience to our host and server. We waited 17 minutes to get a table. And then It took a hot minute to get the waitress to come to our table, then another 2 hot minutes to get a drink ... And by hot minute, I mean a long freaking time! I'm all set if I have my cocktail so I can wait happy... no such luck. She had an attitude the entire encounter and I would've asked for management if I could've got the attention of any one person. It was so rusheddThe food was "meh", nothing to write home about. I'll stick with the beer and save the eating elsewhere. , yet I didn't see anyone doing anything. Super disappointed, as I wanted to lIke this place. Beer .

Beer was cold and the service was great. Next time I am in town I will stop in again. Now I have to keep typing because yelp is still telling me that my review is too short. So I will continue to type words for you to read. This is the one thing I don't like about yelp. That's looks long enough now. Cheers

This place rocks! I personally experienced great beer served by knowledgeable and pretty cool staff. Geo not only made sure we found something that we would like, Geo was an all around cool guy. The kind of guy you would like to hang out and have a beer with.. lolWhen your staff is able to make connections with regular customers beyond your regulars, you have a great employee! I can't wait to go back and try a flight again and see Geo next time I pass through Raleigh.

Aviator Taphouse is amazing,great food,incredible drinks and wonderful people. Nunzia was the best server ever!!!! If you're there please request her you won't be disappointed!!! Great local spot for a good time!

If you want great beer, a fun atmosphere, and friendly staff, Aviator Brewing is the place. Get the Aviator Smokehouse or Aviator Pizza takeout or delivery to the brewery location and enjoy your beer flight or even a brewery tour. Our personal favorite is grabbing a deck of cards to play while we eat and sip. This is a family friendly location. My 2-year old nephew always enjoys playing Jenga or Connect 4.
