Avellino's

Anytime I crave spaghetti, I come here. I've never had spaghetti that is so refreshing and comforting at the same time. This is a small neighborhood establishment so it's a great place for takeout.

A neighborhood favorite! Always great food. I do wish they had a liquor license - that is a big bummer for me since I can't have beer/wine. It's also quite loud but the wonderful bs quick service and great food make up for it.

It's unfortunate that the lowest rating on Yelp is 1 star. This place deserves much less than that... the owner has proven to be a bully who berates paying customers who give honest reviews - instead of trying to figure out what went wrong and fixing it. We've been in Brookhaven for almost little over 2 years and only just now made it to Avellino's. This is a Brookhaven treasure.Limited seating, but delicious! My husband ordered pasta and my son and I shared a pizza. Both were delicious. Our server was prompt, attentive, and friendly. This is a great local restaurant worth visiting.

Quick service. Food is solid and beer is cold. Neighborhood gem that can get packed quickly. Don't miss out on this spot.

We were babysitting our granddaughter in Brookhaven and needed to get some dinner going. Went to Yelp and found Avellino's, who my daughter and son-in-law have ordered pizza from. Pulled up the menu and ordered the chicken parm and an eggplant sandwich to pick up. Drove over and was surprised at the "cozy" size, but restaurant was packed with several people waiting outside for their table (always a good sign!). Our food was ready really quickly and I noticed several really good looking dishes going out and some really good looking pizza at several tables! My wife said her eggplant was delicious, and my chicken parm was huge! Took half of it home for lunch the next day and was delicious warmed up! Check 'em out! Reasonable, friendly, quaint atmosphere and a very loyal local patronage!

This is a quintessential neighborhood, local, Italian restaurant that reminds of the independent restaurants I grew up with across the boroughs of NYC, that served a great meal. They do what they do, and they do it really well. Nice apps, fresh salads with fresh ingredients and crunch, tasty pizzas and pastas. Cold beer on draft and a really solid wine list for a cozy restaurant. The service is attentive, friendly and local. They could update the patio just a smidge so it could be used more fully, but that's my complaint. This place does a solid dine in and pickup business, translation = 4.5 for me!

Avellino's is a classic, friendly, neighborhood Italian joint. The pizza is old school Italian style and the pasta is fresh. It's a bit on the pricey side but it's quality food.

Portions were small for price. Especially for the $6 side salad and the penne vodka. Tried one of the pizzas, it was okay... but again really small for $20. Only item ordered that we were really happy with was the bolognese. I tried reaching out to the restaurant with feedback before reviewing and did not receive a reply.

The spaghetti bolognese wasn't too bad. It looked like the pizza here is what I should have had, but I had that last night and was craving pasta. A lot of people were picking up pizza, and there were several regulars coming in. If you visit, try the pizza and let me know.
