Aunt Pookies always frozen never fresh burger patty on a crusty ol' white bun and a side of yellow dye #16 noodles

never figured out why the patty had a hole in it....... probably don't want to know.
ribs served without sauce I like extra sauce though
great ribs here but they do run out sometimes if get there after lunch rush and they close about 3:00pm too

For some of Texas's hidden gems, head out to Aunt Pookie's barbeque. They aren't going to be your most elaborate and fancy places but if you want some good eats in the area, this is the place to go.Fresh cuts of meat are made to order and cut to your liking. They also have a full service salad bar for all your fixings.

Solid BBQ spot in the spring branch area. I enjoyed the chopped beef sandwich and couldn't stop stealing my boyfriends beans. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the coleslaw because they have so many other great sides. Like the Mac and Cheese! Easy and fast service. Clean environment and the staff were masked. They have a fun selection of sodas! We enjoyed their delicious sweet tea. Would go back!

This us probably the best barbecue in Houston but loses one star because prices are high and the sides portions are so small. Everything is delicious but 4 oz of Mac and cheese should not be $3. That's just being greedy and it's not all that great.

Love this place and their salads my coworker and I always come here we get the chicken salad. The service is good. I've never had any any complaints, we even had the owner deliver our food since we are so close. They also know who i am when i call and the type of salad i get lol, the food is always so fresh and customer service is awesome

Good barbeque, not my favorite. I got the 2 meat plate with chicken and brisket. Both were okay but I hope they were more tender. The chicken was did not have much flavor. It came with two sides and both were good. It was also expensive for BBQ- I think it will around $15 for the bill, I was expecting less money for the quality of food.

Our office is right across the street and we eat lunch here all of the time. They are always friendly and the food is always great. I particularly like their potatoes with brisket. Just glad this place is so close to work!

I have one word to describe the food at Aunt Pookies, fabulous!!! This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for barbecue. First of all, you were always greeted with a smile, and a welcome. The food is always freshly made and hot. We have tried every item on the menu, and there is not one item that we do not like. My favorite thing to eat here is the ham. Holy cow. It is amazing.You get enough food to at least either share or take some home for leftovers. The hamburgers are huge and made right in front of you. They slice your beef or ham, right in front of you. Your french fries are not made until you order them just like their onion rings. Holy cow. The onion rings are to die for. I absolutely highly recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody.Whenever I can, I'll come to aunt Pookies for lunch. This is truly my favorite place to eat at, and I always get the same thing because I'm hooked on their ham. Their salads are huge and they are full of meat and vegetables in. they are just amazing. They're baked potatoes are huge and filled with enough meat that you will be satisfied. So take my word, and run to Aunt Pookies and give them a try. Once again, I love this restaurant, I have not one bad thing to say about them, and I wish they were closer to my house so I could eat there every day. you will not be dissatisfied, and you will leave full. This restaurant deserves to have five stars, across-the-board at all time. And once again, the staff is so friendly and they are so nice.

Big portions at a reasonable price. I had the sliced beef and ribs. Both were very tender and delicious. The barbecue sauce is not my favorite. Maybe a little too sweet. The coleslaw was nothing special, but the baked beans certainly were. I highly recommend this place.

i should've known by the NAME i was in trouble. food was awful hardly any meat on the 2 meat plate, sides weren't even good and tasted as if they were brought from a grocery store. the potato was cold and the environment is just run down and super off putting don't ever come here
