I had been to Atlantis twice prior to this visit but those were strictly for party purposes and never the food. I assumed there would be a long wait for Sunday brunch but I arrived shortly before 1 p.m. and it was fairly empty. They have valet but it will be $10 for as long as the spaces in the front are free then $20 after. Parking in Atlanta is always hit or miss so I usually don't mind paying for valet but I would have an issue paying that price for a 2-hour table limit. Lucky for us, since they weren't busy at all, no one rushed us from our table.I started with a drink and decided to try The Siren's Crown. It doesn't taste very strong but by the end of the first one, I started to feel it and I usually don't feel anything at all after a drink unless it's something like an Old Fashioned. For food, I ordered the Salmon Crab Cake Benedict. I had to ask for clarification because I didn't know if the salmon and crab were mixed together or if they were separate. The waiter clarified that it's an actual piece of salmon on top of an English muffin, then topped with a crab cake, eggs and the hollandaise. It sounded good to me but I didn't enjoy it as much once I tasted it. I love the tang and buttery goodness of hollandaise sauce but the sweetness in the crab cake overpowered those flavors. It made the dish as a whole, a little too sweet for me when I really wanted something savory, buttery, acidic, etc.A little over 2 hours later, it was still fairly empty. It was also raining so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Despite that, the DJ was entertaining. He played good music and came down from the booth to do line dances with a few people.
