"This spot has free parking in the city so it should definitely be given some credit for that. It's in a really good area in Buckhead. It has a lot of area and places to go if you want to walk around after dinner. But the spot itself is very nice and well kept but it's still looks kind of rural and rustic in a Mediterranean sense. It's a really good aesthetic. Not over the top and not too much. That been doing outdoor seating so depend on the weather you could do both. And there's plenty of patio so there's more than two or three tables outside. But the indoor is very nice and aesthetically pleasing so if you wanted to stay in the air conditioner this would be a good spot as well. I got seated right away, and I got water right away, even though it took a minute for the server to get to me. But the service here was really nice, I don't have any issues overall. I got suggestions on what I could try. Everything was good though. Now I'm very biased because where I'm originally from they have a heavy population of people who are of Mediterranean descent so I am very spoiled lol. But I try to go into it with an open mind! Sigara (beef) rolls were pretty good. There is a lot of dill flavor in them so if you don't like dill then they may not be for you but I enjoyed them. They were brought to me still hot and the sauce added a little extra cool taste. Just think of them as egg rolls. My only gripe with them was they came out a little bit burnt so they may have said enough fire a little too long but they still at the same flavor though.Chicken gyro was good. It comes with a salad but I got a substitute of fries instead. The gyro was very big, even to be a little messy (which I dont mind). It was stuffed to the brim! The fries were very well seasoned also.Adana kebab plate was good, it was hearty and filling. Presentation was solid, it came with rice and salad, it was a good choice."
"While I think Kyma is a good restaurant, I'm not as thrilled as I was before. Rather than order the "Aegean" prix fixe as we always have, if we return, we're better off going a la carte.Kyma's appetizers are wonderful. The prix fixe used to include four off the menu. Now it's down to two, and the portion for the three of us was skimpy -- likely the same as they'd serve two people. Aside from quantity, the lamb pie, pork ribs and calamari (which we ordered separately) are winners. To make up for the missing appetizers, they've added a Greek salad which was overloaded with tomatoes. (My preference would be to raise prices rather than impose cost-cutting measures.)To our surprise, the fish portion of our meal was huge. I posted a photo of the char (salmon) we got.... but there was another piece that I didn't photograph. Plenty for five people. (Couldn't they have done that with the appetizers?!)Dessert -- not included on the prix fixe -- was okay. The loukoumades (Greek donuts) not nearly as good as what we get in Astoria. Service is a little too quick, like they want to feed you and get you out. So I don't know -- there's good, there's bad. If you live locally, see what you think."

"We had picked up takeout through the drive-through one time, but this was our first time eating inside the restaurant. They do not offer table service, but you can order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table . There are also multiple people checking on you throughout the meal. The food was clearly the highlight of our experience. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and very flavorful. I enjoyed a bowl of the Greek lemon soup, and I would definitely go back for more. We tried the beef Souvlaki Sticks, and the steak was super tender and very flavorful. We also tried a few of the appetizers, including the Greek wings, and the Saganaki. When they bring it to your table, they use brandy to literally light it on fire, so it's smoking hot when it's served. This is definitely a favorite of mine.Being that we live not too far from this restaurant, we would definitely consider returning and highly recommend trying Yeero Village in Roswell. Cheers"
"Always a great visit. The food is fantastic. This is one of those places you can bring a first-timer and they'll probably come back on their own within the week."
"This was my favorite restaurant while visiting Atlanta. My friend lives nearby and suggested it, so we walked (braved the cold and wind) 10 minutes to the restaurant. We didn't have reservations, and there was no wait. Apparently, the restaurant was closed for remodeling and recently opened. You can dine downstairs near the bar, but most of the seating was upstairs. The stairway tiles in between were such a beautiful print reminiscent of Greek or Turkish design. There's intimate 2- person seating and larger seating for groups of 4 or more. The teal velvet seating added to the charm. The place was dimly lit and cozy. Mary Lyle was our waitress. She was amazing and attentive. My friend and I ordered cocktails and various appetizers to try. Excellent price points from $7-9 with large portions, not to mention, delicious.I had the Gardenia cocktail with gin and cucumber that was refreshing. My friend ordered the Basilisk. I tried it, and it's green apple forward and also good. The appetizers we chose were hummus, babaganoush, shakshuka, and spanakopita. Unfortunately, they ran out of the babaganoush past 8 pm. Mary Lyle brought us a complimentary appetizer - lentil kofte. It was served on a bed of romaine. Hummus: Large portion. I loved the fried chickpeas on top. It's served with a full basket of pita. Spanakopita: 4 pieces and comes with a side salad with vinaigrette dressing. The spinach and feta was baked to perfection.Shakshuka: I absolutely loved this variation of shakshuka because it was eggplant based. It's typically tomato and egg. There was no egg, but it did have green peppers in a homemade tomato sauce. The eggplant and peppers were tender and paired nicely with the pita bread. Since the eggplant was cooked right, I'm sure the babaganoush was just as great.I had eaten a large, Southern dish for lunch, so I was getting full. My friend ordered the Turkish moussaka that came with eggplant and ground beef and was served with rice. I had some of it, and it is a filling entree. Again, it was a large portion. At the end of our meal, Mary Lyle surprised us with a free dessert - rice pudding. We killed it! There's a hint of cinnamon. It was creamy. I could taste the whipping cream or milk they used. When I go back to Atlanta, I'm coming here for my Mediterranean fix. I just hope there's babaganoush next time! *fingers crossed*"
"--Location/Parking--Plenty of parking in the strip mall.--Ambience--A cross between a pizza restaurant with Greek decoration adorning the walls and space throughout the restaurant. --Service/Staff--Staff was helpful in recommendations and explaining the menu. Since I am not familiar with Greek food this was helpful in my order--Food/Products--I recommend the lamb as your meat choice. The taste was perfect. If you are getting any platter I recommend the lamb and my 2nd choice of chicken. The fries. I recommend to no or very little salt is how I like it.--Capacity--Plenty of seating to hold 30 plus parties of 4. --Overall--Great Yelp event if you love pizza and mingling with other Yelpers. Thank you Alexa for finding this hidden gem."
"Really good Mediterranean food. I ordered the chicken shawarma laffa (a wrap). It was HUGE! So tasty though! I also ordered a falafel plate and they were delicious. My husband got the lamb. He said it was good but he felt like it was a small portion. We came on a Saturday around 4pm and it wasn't too crowded. The guy working there was soooo nice! So 5 stars for him! Parking was hectic but there's a structure you can park at that's pretty pricy though"
"I've been here several times, primarily for takeout, although I did eat outside once for a late Saturday brunch.Sadly I don't have any pics since it's usually takeout. I have always had pleasant service every time I've been here and I love the food. I usually order the gyro platter because I like that it comes with a side salad and I prefer to have the Greek potatoes instead of the rice pilaf. Whenever I order the platter, it's usually enough for two meals.I have also had the gyro sandwich which is also very good. The platter goes longer, so I prefer to order it.The baklava is fresh and tasty. And they have very strong coffee if you're there for brunch. One day I'm going to order the baklava cheesecake. It looks so good in the display case, but I haven't tried it yet."

The service was great and best of all, the FOOD!! Yummy!!We started with the sampler plate of different dips followed by Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves), and buttered and fried cheese sticks that I cannot remember the name of at the moment Also the shush kabob of lamb and fries with salad that it came with. Everything was exceptional!!Ended with a pistachio baklava dessert that was perfect!Highly recommend. I know that there are a ton of really fancy, over priced restaurants in Buckhead but this place is amazing and I highly recommend!! We also had a beer and a soda and the bill was 100 dollars! Gotta love that

Kyma not getting a Michelin mention is a crime. We dined here right before Michelin guide came out and the experience was amazing. Kyma has a tasting menu that is available Tuesday to Saturday. We came in on a Sunday but they were kind enough to accommodate the tasting menu for us! The tasting menu is $150 a person, designed for two people to enjoy together. The wine pairing is $65 per person. The Tasting Menu has 7 courses with an optional course that is $10 per person supplement. We didn't ask for this course but it was provided to us free of charge. Course 1: Scallop & Truffle. Wow we are starting with a bang! The first course comes with gently poached and chilled scallop tartare, piemonte truffle, and kataifi crunch. This tasted amazing. The scallops were soft, the crunch was crispy. The presentation was cute - it was on a bed of shaved ice and on top of a scallop shell. Course 2: Salmon & Caviar. ouzo cured Faroe Islands salmon, kaluga reserve caviar, yogurt creme fraiche, preserved lemon and pink peppercorns. It's served with homemade chips. The salmon was cured in house for 3 days. Amazing.Course 3: Grilled Octopus. If you thought the earlier courses were good, you've seen nothing yet. This was the best course so far. Similar to the grilled octopus on their standard menu, but this one comes with a tomato garlic emulsion and braised salsify. I don't eat octopus very often, not because I don't like it, but because it's so tricky to make. There's a fine line between undercooked octopus and overcooked, rubbery octopus. This was absolutely PERFECT. The octopus was extremely tender and the sauce was just so flavorful. Course 4: Lobster, Foie Gras, Truffle. Maine lobster, lemony Cretan wedding rice, ouzo poached foie gras, Piemonte summer truffle. I loved the lobster in this, and the taste of foie gras permeating through the rice. However, the summer truffle had very little taste. I don't know if we just got a "bad" truffle or if this truffle was cheaper than the other truffles I've had recently. I asked the server where they get their truffles from, they told me it's from Italy. Of course I still enjoyed it very much. I'm just more used to the almost overpowering taste of truffle. Course 5: Veal Sweetbreads ($10 supplement). This was the optional course I mentioned earlier. There was some sauteed potato garlic agnolotti, crushed walnuts, bites of veal and some scallions. The veal was SO JUICY. Course 6: Watermelon, Feta. This one is really cool. This was a palate cleanser for our next entree. It comes with organic watermelon, Vidalia onion, feta imported from Lesvos and herbs straight from Kyma's own garden. The balls of watermelon sorbet is homemade and serves as the salad dressing - if you let it melt first (which we failed at). The whole thing was so delicious. Course 7: Royale Dorade, Truffle. The Royale Dorade is a sea bream that is soft, flaky and delicious. The Royale Dorade was imported from Greece and salt crusted. After the fish was cooked, we were presented with the salt crusted fish (as pictured above) before taken away and fileted in the back. Then, the fish came back with olive oil and lemon sauce, with the bones removed. There was a miscommunication so the shaved truffles didn't arrive with it until we were half finished with the fish. They apologized to us profusely for their error. This course also came with braised kale which was delicious as well. This was a lot of food and due to the capers, it was a little salty but to be expected with capers. The truffles were the same ones as the fourth course so there wasn't much truffle flavor, but I liked it nonetheless. Course 8: Dessert Trio. The last course of the night, the Dessert Trio. We were each presented with 3 small desserts, a Greek donut with wild thyme honey and cinnamon, a rolled up baklava with pistachio ice cream (made in house), and blueberry custard pie with blueberry sorbet (made in house). All of the desserts were AMAZING. The wine pairing here was noticeably cheaper than other tasting menus we've had around town ($65/person here) and the accompanied pours were actually quite large. Each wine was briefly explained and introduced to us and the taste was pleasant, however, I was surprised all of the wines were white except for the dessert wine. I think replace half of the white wines with red would have been a better experience.

The food here is incredible! Everything was very fresh, and served piping hot! They make their own sauces and salad dressing in house. I never knew a salad could be so delicious! Try the lemon chicken soup too! Next to my YiaYia's, it's the best I've had! The restaurant was clean and nice. The staff is very happy to help you. All around, a great choice! The portion sizes were enormous too!

Delicious gyro wrap combo! . I used to go across the street for bbq. Always wondering about this place. My father was the first person to take me to get a gyro when I was a kid in Savanah Georgia. Every time I get one I think of him. He passed in 2014. I didn't eat a lunch at work just snacking on chips. I wanted my appetite right for when I got off from work. I ate the fries in my car and the lamb gyro is loaded. I got the combo with the sweet tea. I also got a lamb plate for lunch at work tomorrow it's flooded not skimpy. The plate comes with potatoes and a salad with dressing and a tzatzikii sauce and pita bread. My new gyro go to spot! I can eat off this plate on first and second break at work.

Yessssss! A definite yes!!!! Turkish mediterranean food at its best, there are soooo many good flavors here....the lamb is completely lamb with no added beef and the chicken is amazingly flavorful and tender. I ordered the lamb and chicken gyro platter, it was a lot of food on a bed of white rice accompanied by a balsamic vinegar dressed salad, and pita bread. The restaurant was cute and the service was absolutely fantastic! We had no complaints. I can't wait to return and try their brunch/breakfast options. They also have complimentary Turkish Tea with the brunch menu.

I eat here often after going to dancing dogs yoga. It is a delicious middle eastern place in KSM. I always get the laffa with the fried eggplant and add lamb. It's an absolutely wrap that normally lasts me two meals. The eggplant is perfectly fried and not soggy, the lamb is juicy tender and well seasoned. I love that the wrap has a large amount of vegetables and greens.I always forget what each ingredient is but the staff is always happy to explain things to me and offer suggestions as needed. There's lots of Vegan and vegetarian options if you just omit the yogurt.

I'm so glad to have found this cute little Greek spot in Avondale Estates. During my bi-weekly visit to Atlanta, I always stop to get lunch before my 2-hour drive home. Luckily, Kafenio is en route and has a user-friendly website that you can order from. You can find parking on the side in front of the Willis Apartments. There are designated retail parking spots. The restaurant has a charming feel to it, nice place to take a date. There is outdoor seating available as well. When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff, I gave them my name for my to go order, and they handed me my food. My order consisted of the Greek salad, a chicken Gyro, and Greek potatoes. Typically, Greek salads come with Greek dressing, but they offer 5 optional dressings, so I chose the Greek lemon. I was under impressed with the salad, the dressing wasn't good and everything was cut way too big for my liking. I definitely would not recommend the Greek salad. The gyro was very good, the chicken was flavorful, and all the toppings were fresh and tasty. The greek potatoes just tasted like fried potato wedges , didn't taste like the greek potatoes I'm accustomed to with the lemon undertone, but they were still very good. The portions are huge, and I was full after a few bites. Kafenio is a great lunch spot. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a try.

"My @diningoutatl Passbook is my go to method of trying New restaurants in the city and surrounding areas.Last night I tried @athenspizza for the first time and I can definitely see why it's a neighborhood favorite.@athenspizza clearly has a regular crowd. Each evening offers a different special. Monday was "Baked Spaghetti" ; which was ordered. I also wanted to try the Mediterranean Pizza and ordered a small 6in.The pizza was absolutely delicious and the crust was divine! The spaghetti contained mushrooms which I enjoyed but, if you don't like them you'll need to request for them to be omitted. Great food and friendly service! I'll definitely be back!"
"Large portion, cheap price, great taste. Can't go wrong. Very nice lady. Each wrap is 10. Add combo is 4.50, which comes with choice of drinks, fries or Greek potatoes.Call ahead & delivery is available."
"What a fantastic surprise!! I really didn't expect too much, but was completely WOWED by the flavors and unfortunately, also the prices. A can of sprite was 2.80The grilled Octapus 22.00And the Gyro with fries 17.00Now let me be clear... the grilled Octopus just may have been the best cooked octopus I have ever had. It was tender, not rubbery, and the sauce had a delightful zing to it that made every bite sing with flavor! It also was a good sized portion... I probably could have just had it for my lunch honestly. (See pic) I was sold on the establishment immediately after a single bite!My server was sweet... a very nice young lady who was attentive but didn't hover... she was the perfect server. The venue was clean, fresh, and cute in the tradition Greek colors and style. (Tip: get rid of the dead plants and go get some pony tail palms or something easy to maintain)Then out came my gyro... with fries. The fries were outstanding... crispy outside and soft inside with just a fine seasoning expertly applied. The crunch on the outside was a delight... I'm not sure how they do it but don't stop. Easily some of the best steak fries I have ever had!The gyro itself was a pretty good size... loaded with meat, thinly sliced onions, tomato's and Tzatziki all folded into a fluffy fresh pita. My first bite was a symphony of taste! Followed by the third and then the 6th and even the last bite... now THIS was a gyro! All you other posers out there trying to make gyros and selling them as authentic Greek food... take notice... come eat here and see how it is truly supposed to be done!My total with tip was right at 50.00 for just me... for lunch. While this is high for a lunch I did have the grilled octopus... and honestly I felt like I got $100 worth of out of this world flavors! I might not come here often, but with my first taste being this special... I saw a lot of other things on the menu that I want to try! In the immortal words of the Terminator, "I'll be back!""
"I was in Atlanta for a couple days, staying near Little Five Points. Friday night I took a trip to the Mediterranean from Ali Baba. I picked up a large, delicious bowl of perfectly spiced and marinated lamb, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and feta in yellow rice from the restaurant. Huge pools of Babaganush and hummus were on the side to drop the lamb in. Combined, this was such a special, local dinner treat! And definitely large enough portions of deliciousness for at least two people! If you're local to Atlanta, this place should be on your order list on at least a monthly basis."
"I fell in love with Grecian Gyro at the College Park location. The same tradition of tastiness carries over to this Tucker location. I had a souvlaki gyro and it just made my night. I can't remember what my wife had, but it was gone before mine was. Another friend had the falafel and paid it some compliments. (And this is a woman who knows her Greek, be assured.) Service was quick, staff made some good recommendations, and the place was relatively quiet. I tried the ice cream thing they serve here. IMO, don't waste your time with this. There's better ice cream to be had not too far away. But for the Greek goodness? I can't wait to go again. Holler if you're coming with."
"Small little commercial gyro spot. Its not an authentic gyro but definitely does the trick and you get alot of food for your money.I will be back"
"Had dinner here before Hamilton last night and it was quick, delicious, and reasonably priced. We ordered a veggie gyro which had tons of veggies like zucchini and squash. It did not come with a side. Also ordered a gyro plate - gyro, pita slices, tzatziki, green beans and salad of lettuce and tomatoes. 2 huge Greek potato wedges were also on the plate.Everything was delicious, we were running late due to traffic but food came quickly and it is a stone's throw from Fox theater so very convenient.Gyro"
"Extremely nice staff. I came in today and had the best restaurant greeting ever. Made me feel all warm and welcome on the inside. They enjoyed walking me through the menu and made recommendations. I noticed that the art here is pretty cool and they have some throwback arcades. The inside is very spacious.I ordered two pizzas. I wanted to try the John's special and the White Pizza but you are unable to put both on the same pizza. The issue is that they use two different base sauces. Both pizzas are amazing. The artichokes in the White Pizza taste great. John's special is loaded with toppings. Everything on both pizzas taste extremely fresh. The brownies are amazing. Full of chocolate chips and flavor. This venue is on the end of a strip mall. There is plenty of parking."
"This is another restaurant that we had skipped for a long time. not sure why, probably just location out of the way for usNow that we have gone a few time recently , have found it to be consistently good on a good variety of dishesTonight had KABOB SUPREME : A combination of lamb, chicken, kubideh, cornish hen kabobs , large greek salad, 2 servings of rice, 2 pita bread. EXCELLENT, especially the lamb - very juicy and flavorful; and more than enough for the TWO of useIn previous visits had GYRO PLATE; and MOUSSAKAPreviously daughter had the cornish hen too ; and son of course had chicken parm. All very good, and always needed to take part home In same shopping center as Wal-Mart on Winters chapel , hidden behind some other buildings. parking easy . Worth the visit even if not close by."
"I came here for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the gyro wrap Philly style (mushrooms and grilled onions?)The gyro is loaded with meat and tastes great. Only took a couple of minutes for me to get my food."
"Food was fantastic! Delicious fresh Grecian salad w/chicken. There are other choices of meat. First time at this location since they moved from the corner of 78 and 124. This used to be the old Zaxbys locationI called the order in since I'm on lunch break. Whoever answered the phone was very nice and explained they're at this location to prevent any confusion. I was advised no less than 10 min the order should be ready I arrived maybe 15 min after the call. The order was ready waiting for pick up. Total $12.75 .. 4 pieces of Pita bread is served with all salads Dining area is open concept whereas the Zaxbys had tables and booths. Casual setting (ambiance) . From what I understand they're closed on Sunday's It's about $6 cheaper than Mr Gyro and it's just as delicious. Salads are smaller and less meat. You may want to ask if there are larger salads. If you're on 78 looking for a good Greek salad or Greek food, stop by. I will be back!"
"Pretty good. My husband was going to get salads from here often and it took me to get one. They are really good. Geek salads I highly recommend. The owners are always friendly and it's always clean there !"
